- CHICON 2007 Breakfast with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles - REVISED. This is a revised version of the video posted in December 2023. It has significantly better video quality. The source video is not my own; it was generously provided by AgtSpooky. The event took place on Sunday, November 11, 2007. I enhanced the original video as described below.

ENHANCEMENTS
1. I ran an upscale and stabilization program to improve video quality and reduce shakiness. It isn't perfect; the source material was recorded with 2007 technology. However, it now looks significantly better than any other video of this event published to date.
2. I added some small and (mostly) subtle content to help explain pop culture references that viewers might not be familiar with and to refresh people's memories on specific episode references being discussed.
3. I added GOOD, color-coded subtitles, unlike the auto-generated atrocities most of these older videos have that don't even make sense. If you turn on the CC button, these sometimes chaotic videos will make a LOT more sense! If I wasn't confident about what they said, even if I thought I could guess based on context, I marked it as [inaudible] in the subtitles.

Thank you so much for your comment, it made my day! I’ve had a lot of fun adding those side notes, and it makes me especially happy that the subtitles have helped make the videos more accessible. I was hoping that would be the case. English is the only language I know, but I myself have found the videos difficult to understand, especially when everyone is talking (or screaming) at once. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be if English were someone's second (or third or fourth...) language. There are such great moments in these videos, so I'd very much like for everyone to be able to fully understand and enjoy them!

I'm so glad you've been able to enjoy these older panels! I've watched a LOT of convention videos by now, but these early ones have some of my all-time favorite moments.
It's really cute seeing how relatively stiff and awkward they were doing these when they were wee babies compared to later conventions. lol They obviously grew to become a lot more comfortable with panels! ❤❤
LOL, yes, it’s fun to see the progression as they got more comfortable with them through the years! I kind of imagine they went into this one (their first ever “breakfast” panel) with no clue how they were going to entertain a group of fans for almost 25 minutes. 🤣

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, it was actually the very first Creation con they attended. They had attended a few other conventions or convention-like things before this, but this was one of their first.
I think this was the chain of events:
* They both attended Paleyfest in March 2006.
* Jared attended a multi-fandom Grand Slam convention in LA a few days after Paleyfest.
* Jensen attended the first Asylum convention in the UK in May 2007, which included actors from both Supernatural and Smallville.
* Jensen attended the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2007. (Jared was supposed to attend too, but he'd been filming until early that morning and missed his flight.)
* And then there was this one!
