I disagree and am curious about how you can think it’s bad advice? Ok what about when it comes to things that are out of your hands?Then I can’t imagine being patient as anything but good advice. Be patient and know that things will get better in due time. You may want something to happen now but if it’s not here yet then God might be preparing you for when it does come so it ends up being better than you could have ever imagined.
People are headstrong and dumb, we may think we’re ready for something when we’re really not. We only know our experiences and I don’t think that’s enough credentials to know what’s best in every situation and change fates when we don’t know the outcome.
And if you consider God: He’s all powerful, omnipotent, and knows what’s best for you. And He wants what’s best for you because He is Love. He’s got everything under control.
Only young people like her can afford to be patient. Those of us in the 30s are already seeing people we know get sick with serious illnesses and even die.
Sit on your ass and be oblivious to your surroundings. Nahhhh I’m good.

There are a lot of young ppl out there who are not like you think. We (I am 26, so not much older and were like her in that age too) are many actually and its suck older ppl think of not so good of us.
@J U well considering my nephews and nieces the younger gen is actually pretty cool and very polite. Love their energy. My oldest nephew is 15 already. Very mature and also intelligent. Just lacks some wisdom, but he will get that soon enough too. Same goes for his friends and classmates. All in all i am very happy

“Take it one day at a time” is the best advice that I given to friends and family who are stressing out. It may not the best advice, but its the one thats kept me from putting myself 6 feet under.

I don't remember people considering this as especially well-spoken when I was younger, they would usually say that about someone who spoke in a more noticeable way. It's not an argument, I was just pointing something out.
To me it would just be someone notably polite, articulate or charming in the way they converse. The way she speaks is fine but it just seems normal. Maybe that's the wrong definition

Super duper true; however, I've also noticed that humans will take advantage of you if you do not make enough of a proportionate presence still and advocate for yourself. Even family members can blindside you with gossip toward you with other family members when you were just happily doin' your own thing, keepin' your head down and livin' your life. You learn in life to not take for granted that everyone else has as pure or good of a heart as you. People will not have the same sense of decency and kindness as you. People generally do not have the same set of morals or moral compasses which point due North (as you). This might sound a tinge harsh, but it is pretty true, I've found A good way to look at it might be to just use wisdom and stay present in your day to day connections, interminglings, and try to be as proactive and assertive and joyous with your day to day life as much as you can and trust that things will stay or fall in place for you. And if that totally feels like a loaded piece of hogwash, then you can always just jump ship over to my mom's favorite expression "Life's a 8itch, then you die." lol.

@@luk3wvrm110 I'll be real, most of us are just hella jaded at this point since there hasn't been a 'calm' time in our living memories. Being so well connected is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand you can get every point of view out there. But on the otherhand there is no way you can escape things that you otherwise would have stayed blissfully ignorant. It isn't a chase that things are more chaotic now than they ever have been, the only difference is we're more aware of everything happening around us.

When one grows up knowing both the best and worst of society, it proves that there are people actively trying to make a difference, and being kind is a choice.

i am 32 years old and only now i have become independent. paying those loans were such a heavy burden on me and had to live with my parents.
I'm 31 and back in school for nursing and back with my mom so I can pay for school, I understand.

kindness is actually overestimated, and is a buzz word. It dosent mean anything really, is more of a political term and is being pushed on us. NEVER have i met an educated and intelligent person that mention kindness.
This girl is really wise and so spot on! If you read this, this thirty something applauds you! But I think you choose how many responsibilities you want in your thirties. I felt the most free in life from 29-33 (just before the pandemic hit), I made time for me, myself and I and I don't regret it, I am a better, less stressed and a more peaceful soul for it so I am ready to mindfully take on whatever extra responsibilities come my way and that benefits everyone around me. You're valuable no matter what you choose! Look at Van Gogh, bullied and made to feel lesser for his art in his time and now famous beyond his years unlike everyone who thought less of him. As someone who is the same age as this girl, everything she said was so relatable, just graduated high school and I’m so stressed on what to do next I got into uni but not sure if it’s the right decision for me because honestly it’s so hard to know what you want to do with little experience also have a constant feeling that I’m not good enough and everyone around me seems to know what there doing
As long as you’re doing something you are doing something right.
As long as what you do doesn't hurt yourself or anyone else it's fine for this time in your life. Feeling stressed is understandable but just know that there is only so much you can control. Choose as wisely as you can but don't (so to speak obviously) choke your thoughts/choices.
@@Gdawg0331 this is great advice you gave. I’m a military veteran and it means I was learning and experiencing life while being paid. As I continued to mature it gave me perspective. Do something, doing anything is the right choice. It helps you gain perspective with at the very least what you don’t want to do while learning a skill you can always use later in life.

Before I finished the clip, hearing her age goals made me audibly go "Nope! Please no", and then I heard her say "Take it one day at a time, and don't worry so much" I promise each day, and wherever you are in life, is a gift. I remember being 15, 20, 25 and being crippling anxiety-ridden about life and where I should be. Being 31, I look back and want to hug that dude because the fear of the unknown hits everyone, and honestly no one truly knows what they're doing. Some are just better at moving through the muddy water (or seemingly). There's a purpose for every day. Love one another, be kind to the person you may never see again, cherish everyone in your life, and be bold. You won't get everything right, and you may not treat everyone right 100% but if you wake up each day and give it your 100% (however much that relatively may be), you're golden. Give thanks for your moments. This is all stuff I would tell myself, and my future children (whenever I have them). God bless, have a great holiday season and be safe!
