To be totally honest, if Trump does really begin aligning the US more closely with Russia, and begins to ruin its relationship with the EU and NATO, I can see this as being the catalyst that will eventually turn into the federalization of the European Union. Without the US, the European nations will realise that in order to remain influential economically and also to be able to defend themselves against both Russia and the US, that they will need to unite into a single federation. The Trump Administration has already shown it's extreme hostility to the current UK Government too, and literally Musk tweeted about invading the UK, so this will all likely push the UK back into the EU too.
