adyar ananda bhavan, a2b, south india’s largest restaurant and sweets chain, family run, adyar ananda bhavan factory tour, a2b food factory tour, 100% vegetarian, pure ghee sweets, snacks, kaju katli, kaju katli making, dodda burfi, jangiri, jangiri making, mysore pak, mysore pak making, chennai, bengaluru, tamil nadu, karnataka, gourmet on the road, kripal amanna, food lovers tv, food lovers india, truth in food
I recently received an invitation that compelled me to drive 350 kilometres to visit the Adyar Ananda Bhavan Sweets & Snacks Factory in Ambattur, Chennai. A2B, as the group is popularly known, is now perhaps South India’s most recognised restaurant, sweets and snacks brand, with over 150 outlets across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and overseas, however its origins are rather humble and trace an agricultural family’s inspiring 60-year journey through Rajapalyam, Bengaluru, Chennai and beyond. As I learnt from the second and third generation of the Adyar Ananda Bhavan family when I visited their facility that can produce over 40,000 kilos of savouries and 10,000 kilos of sweets evry single day!
What is heartening though is the family’s commitment to sourcing quality ingredients, even making their own ghee to ensure 100% purity, and fostering an environment where the skill and craft involved in making artisanal handmade sweets is also encouraged alongside automated production lines to meet the burgeoning demand for their sweets and savouries. I hope you enjoy the first part of this very special episode this Deepavali weekend.
Happy Diwali! Take care; stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

Same with Mahesh Prasad and all the other places. People don’t even wait for you to finish the food. Please come to Gujarat and see how the culinary food experience is all about.

Kripal the numbers you are mentioning is mind boggling 🙂 A2B has their restaurants with the sweet shop. 4 tons of Kaju Katli and other savories 10 tons and many varieties keeping up with Technology and also ensuring the people behind this are still ensuring they are employed thus keeping the human touch. Awaiting the next episode and thanks to Vishnu and Team for showcasing the process and this gives more confidence to customers who will now know the ingredients and its source of the sweets 🙂 WOW 180 products 🙂Amazing

Then they have to compromise with substandard quality.

    • @devraj-ud8mb
      @devraj-ud8mb ปีที่แล้ว

@@jayalakshmim9567 In d2c without compromising quality the same product can be given in lesser price. Example if they sell sweets in shop(currently what they're doing)they have to give margin for rent, current, salary etc these all makes cost higher.
If they start website and start selling d2c directly from Chennai easily they can sell at less price.

I doubt whether it is an AC unit or AHU (It provides filtered, conditioned air, and the number of cycles of air is exchanged per hours.) It keeps the room air microbial load less also due to the air exchanges.

India has the biggest variety of foods and snacks in the world. The recently opened A2B restaurant in Illinois’ Naperville- Aurora draws huge crowds of not only Indians but also Americans and Mexicans, daily.

It's good to see that they are wearing the shirts with the name of the shop like their workers. It shows that they are working in this factory.

For savories they have started using Refined Palm Oil but charges Rs. 450 to 500 PKG . Cost of other sweets are also too costly and they increase it every year by ten percent minimum. Not affordable by comman man. I learnt, most of the outlets have been given as franchise with their brand name.
They should work out the cost without compromise on quality for comman man to enjoy their products. I doubt they will do it. If done, i appreciate them from my deep heart.

If you are referring to the handmade muruku, well, gloves wouldn't work as the dough would stick. And I wouldn't be worried, because after being braided it is fried in hot oil.

If you note most of savouries in A2B use palm oil but in other branded outlet Shree Mithai we get for same price same quantity savouries made with ground nut oil.

  • @uppulurivenkata

Of course sweets and savouries are good.
But a little more can be done for the tiffins like crispness of dosas and the masala inside. Not very satisfactory.
Anyhow they sell due to their name established.
