Pros of the latin alphabet: - the symbols do indeed seem simpler - ignoring the fact there are small and big letters - fewer symbols Pros of hiragana: - no big/small letters distinction - hiragana symbols can be easily grouped phonetically - helps with learning In case of the latin alphabet in English, there is also the issue of the letters often not having one fixed spelling. If you see ね in Japanese, you need no context to know how it's going to be pronounced. In English, try saing: floor roof blood - 3 identical 'oo's, 3 entirely different pronunciations - the main reason why learning English as a foreign language is a nightmare xD

Not that I should at all take this rap serious, but a criticism would be it's usually seen as lazy / bad form to rhyme words with themselves and she rhymed "today" 3 times in a row. That said this was obviously just a fun and silly thing she was doing. Her speed and enunciation was great. I think she could legitimately rap if she decided to.
