What an awesome chat, thoroughly enjoyed this. Two stunning images as backdrop too. (Neat profile BTW)
Loved hearing you and Dan talk about the Southern Cross, the Magellanic Clouds, the upside-down Orion (made me smile).
We've just had a total solar eclipse on April 20th (Western Australia, Exmouth). Where we live it was 96%. Very exciting. Rigged up the 'contraption' on the R5 with 600mm (+1.4ext) for a Timelapse. What was interesting, were the stills we took throughout of our back yard with a different camera using manual and not changing the settings. Our eyes were adjusting as the eclipse progressed and it wasn't until we saw the images that we saw how dark it really got. We also took photos of the eclipse on the ground in the shadow of our Lime tree created by the dappled light. (Turtle Doves came in to roost in that Lime tree in the middle of the day.)
