The very definition of just giving the fans what they want. The sync was immaculate. The plot was well paced and completely organic to what we already know about everyone. The elements of the fight getting more interesting. Matt being able to smile during the last part of the fight. Just... amazing.

I just love the attention to detail on 14:18 where boyfriend realizes that attacking Matt wasn't the right choice, so then focuses on the clones. How quickly he adapts to every new move after small screw ups is amazing.
I love that matt learned to give his little clones some shields but it dosnt even matter since BF made his clone projectile fists punch through the shields.
Also the small detail in round 3 where bf tried to block all of Matt’s energy punches only to almost die twice then bf decides to put up his energy shield

Also at 13:33 where bf starts mixing up the position of his energy punches to try and catch matt off guard (but ofc matt being matt it fails)

except that they friendship is based in matt fucking killing bf and bf coming back to life, but as matt can use his real power and bf is technically imortal, i dont ser too much problem

It technically also helps BF since he can also be able to use Echo more efficiently as well. It is more of a win win situation than you think. Also I think BF is getting used to having to reset a bunch.

Ok so the thing about BF is that he won’t actually humiliate or put down any of his opponents rather he just has fun making deals with devils and watching them all lose in their bet. I like that he didn’t too to be completely honest with you, but this in my opinion is one of the best animated things for Friday Night Funkin I’ve ever seen and is a straight 10/10 along with what the Neo mod had to offer as well
I like how Matt starts smiling after he realizes BF can rewind time. He seems like he’s actually having a good time!

During the first round (Before Boyfriend's first solid hit) I noticed that, if you look closely, Matt does smile specifically during some of the Echo attacks, mostly when he's put on defensive (i noticed it most present during his Parry chains around 1:40.) But like you said, he begins to be default to a cheerful smile during the last round; i like how those little touches really add to their character.

He was sorta pissed before he found out about BF's reseting abilities (which I theorize to actually be GF's since it doesn't make sence for a rapper to have those kind of god like abilities, while it very much makes sence for a demon to have them)

No idea if anyone else noticed but when BF is in the "White Glove Form" he regens health way faster than normal, pretty nice detail showing that the form improves BFs own abilities.
What about echoing the stand while in withe gloves form

i think he regens health the more he punches and he punches really damn fast in his white glove form, so technically yeah, that form indirectly boosts his health regeneration

I like how in parts 1 and 2 of fight 1, during some of Matt's "Stand Rushes" {The fast key chains where him and his double are overlapping} BF doesn't even echo, he just plays back his hits that fast

Coming back to this masterpiece that absolutely blew my mind when it first came out, if I remember correctly it was released in different parts at first. I feel like i remember watching each part when it came out, idk. Time flies..

Anyone realize when boyfriend uses echo, Matt just about dodges it perfectly so during the last two they don’t really talk about it but Matt is trying to help boyfriend make his own style pitch perfect going up to the point when boyfriend might catch Matt off guard with it but since it’s the replica of the move Matt can parry and reflect anything
I also think that the echo ability comes from how most of the time boyfriend goes after the singer in turns and replicates perfectly

I love how even with Matt winning it shows how dangerous BF can be. Matt only really did damage when he had the element of surprise but if it didn't take BF out in one hit. BF was about to counter and stop it from hitting again. BF resets are powerful but the last fight also shows he doesn't depend on them.
I know im really late on replying, but unlike Matt bf was actually starting to get tired, and probably would've lost regardless.

Edit: We’ve done quite a lot of progress so far. Updated Wiik 2 with all of the events shown in the animation have been implemented into the mod, the new Mattpurgation is done, and a lot of the crossover sprites have been finished. Hope y’all are ready ;)

I love how it shows that boyfriend is not a perfect protagonist, and despite his incredible powers, he still makes mistakes and takes damage. He even manages to suprise himself when he beats Matt! Incredible!
