I learnt about it in a little bit of early 2023, somewhere around that time. it's so fun to see a new video on it after like 5 months, and then it repeats and repeats
Once again, I am conflicted. This man isn't hurting anyone and he seems to be genuinely content so that's very good. I'm happy for him. On the other hand, he spent what I make in 3 years on a hyperrealistic dog costume which he goes out in public in while staying in full character so I can't help but be disturbed and worried about his overall mental state. I wish him the best, especially now that he's on the internet's radar for life. The internet can be very cruel and there have been countless stories of people crumbling to pieces under its scrutiny.
Oh don’t worry, most furries are rich AF, spending 1000s of dollars on artwork We joke sometimes, but its kinda true, that furries rule the world, the majority of the american tech industry and a ton are in the government too.
@@bizarreraisin yeah same!! i think quad suits are really interesting! as long as he’s not bothering anyone (when he goes in public) and without their permission i’m sure it’s fine :] maybe just a little weird to on lookers
The feminine urge to go into my rent, food, and gas money and buy one of these suits and send it to cooper with a anonymous note is fighting against the logical side of my brain
my sister just got back from an exchange trip to germany, and they actually are very focused on teaching the history of the holocaust so that it doesn't happen again. my sister said they were more straightforward about how unacceptable the nazis actions were than a lot of her american classes had been
german history teacher here ✌️😊 you’re absolutely correct that’s indeed a great goal of teaching history here in germany so hopefully the students learns media- and democracy competence and recognize propaganda and radicalization attempts. the German history shows that democracy needs democrats to support and protect it, otherwise fascism will have an easy time.
honestly, as a German, things like the oath to the American Flag, or the French National holiday celebrating a very bloody revolution, it's really odd to me. Impo the way the history of this country is dealt with now, most other countries could, uh, take inspiration from, bc most all human societies have horrors that should never be allowed again.
@@mer_acle8101as an American I agree. I grew up in a pretty patriotic household but the older I get the more I realize how there's ALOT that we as Americans should not be proud of. Yes I'm lucky to live in a free country, and yes we are economically better off than other countries (generally speaking), but people shouldn't let those things keep them from acknowledging the wicked ways in which we gained those things. Politics have really divided people for dumb reasons, and honestly Americans are failing to see the reality of things.
That's very true and certainly something I appreciate about our curriculum. The only downside to this approach I have personally experienced is that it can unintentionally create a lot of generational guilt. It can go to the extent of me and my classmates, who were born in 2001/02, feeling responsible for things even our grandparents' generation had no influence on because even they were too young at the time. So it's a bit of a double edged sword but surely better than sweeping the events of the past under the rug or downright glorifying them.
i love how he was like "this is weird, why would you want to be an animal" then started talking about meerkats and somewhere along the way got completely turned around and was like "actually i kinda wanna be a meerkat lol"
As a member of Polish community, I do want to inform you, that we in fact do exist and watch your videos. And we watch a lot of TH-cam apparently. I’ve noticed a lot of TH-camrs have many Polish viewers. We’re like a plague. And also we have a “Polish syndrome” which means every time we see Poland being mentioned in any way, we have irresistible urge to tell everybody that we’re from Poland. By the way, I am from Poland, have I mentioned that?
Honestly, I feel like this is just a "weird but whatever," moment. He's not hurting anyone, he doesn't force anyone to partake in his shenanigans, and it's ultimately harmless. Honestly I don't even think it's a f3tish, because if the gratification he got from this was purely sexual, there's no way he would spend 30k on one suit. Sure, people throw away their savings on cam models they think they're building real connections with, but this is a dog suit, he could've gotten one good enough to get off on for half the price. This is simply a man with an intense fascination about border collies and being one. This is more in the realm of spending 30k on a model train collection because you just love them even though it's weird. Some people love stamps, some people love action figures, and this man loves border collies.
Hey Cooper, Colombian-American here! As you have requested here is a little overview of what's going on in Colombia right now :) First things first, our women's soccer team just competed against Morroco after beating, two-time Women's World Cup champions Germany 4 days ago. Some more exciting news, the Colombian rebel group ELN and the Colombian government have entered a six-month ceasefire (yippee!) And I just read a really cool story about a chemist, zootechnician, and biologist who is working with Indigenous communities in the Guainia region to abandon the illegal farming of coca (which produces cocaine) and instead care for beehives, and harvest honey. This project will not only help Indigenous communities by providing them with legal ways to bring in money and support their tribal communities but it also brings more pollinators into the biodiverse Guainia region, allowing the area to flourish, and the people that depend on the land to thrive! Anyway, that's the end of my little infodump about my beautiful country. Hoped you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed this video :D
I'm just impressed with the quality of that suit and his commitment, you know he's got to be hot and hurting his knees and back crawling like that. Maybe im desensitized by the dude who plays realistic looking gorillas in like all the movies. I know it's not the same thing but they are both clearly more passionate about something than I will ever be and it's hard to hate on that.
i love how cooper just completely loses track of what he was talking about and ends up arguing a completely different point to what he was originally talking about, and i love it
As someone with a pet border collie, I can’t help but feel the urge to correct him every time he calls the suit a border collie instead of a rough collie lol. Also those nails on the suit are terrifying. 💀
@YellowCircl3 as a person that grew up in the dog world. a border collie is a lot smaller so that they're able to herd their sheep/cattle. rough collies are bred for protection and have a stocker build. also the border collie has a wide range of color variety but normally comes in a black/white color pattern. you see them a lit on TV for agility shows. while rough collies are in a sable color and kinda rare to find a color out of that standard, if you ever saw Lassie you saw one! they're both super interesting dogs tho both bred to herd and protect. size and coat length play a part in how to tell them apartm R.C have longer coats and are bigger, borders have a short coat and are lower to the ground
I love the fact that Cooper keeps calling it a border collie even though the videos said collie dog or rough collie like a million times. Peek himbo energy.
Lowkey I get this as an age regressing thing though- as a small child, I didn't just pretend to be the dog- I WAS the dog. I made my own crappy ears and tied a shoelace to my back pants belt loop for a 'tail'. I watched hours of dog documentaries and read every book I could manage about them. Maybe on a sadder note: I was a lot happier in dog mode than I was in child mode. Dogs were affectionate, funny, and playful, whereas other people were confusing, unpredictable, and disciplinary. It makes more sense to me than age regressing with diapers and binkies (no shame to those that it works for though). TL;DR: This could be incredibly therapeutic as age regression for the 'animal kids'.
Being a dog does seem so much better than being a human, just a little guy playing with toys, running in the grass, just vibes, no taxes no jobs no obligations
!!! yes! im the exact same. the idea of being a dog is so much more comforting and easier for me. you dont have to worry so much about everything, your identity, your job, your general problems. you can just live in the moment =]

I’m so torn with how I feel about this, because on one hand the suit looks very uncanny and I would be so, so creeped out if I pet a dog that turned out to be a human man. On the other hand, as far as I know he hasn’t done anything wrong or hurt anyone, and is just minding his own business. Idk the more I think about it the more I feel like I’m being prejudicial and unfair 😭
As a Dutch person I literally skipped part of it because my cringe at American's lack of understanding of WW2 and how it affected citizens of different European countries is too much. Most Germans weren't straight up Nazi's, just like how in 2023 most Russians aren't actually in support of the war against Ukraine, there is just no freedom or safety in a country under strict authoritarian rule.. The American education system is truly tragic lol
So, as a German and as a historian, I have to add this: Yes, once a dictatorship is established, many people will certainly not agree and in this specific case they were not all “straight up Nazis”. But today many act as if we Germans were among those who suffered the most from this regime during the Third Reich and as if all our ancestors were opposed to the NSDAP or were in resistance to H. It just has to be said that only 2% of the Germans were actually in the resistance. The Germans elected H. democratically when his political agenda was already public. They have allowed themselves to be propagandized and extremized in large numbers. And so so many participated in the discrimination and disenfranchisement of Jews, Sinti and Roma, LGBTQI+, people with disabilities, etc. and made possible the later extermination of all of these people! Too many now act as if the people in Germany didn't know anything about the camps back then. And that's a lie, even if it's unfortunately becoming more and more popular, as are far-right parties. When I look today, especially at the USA (or at Europe, at Germany) how propaganda, hatred and right-wing extremist ideas are on the rise and still work well today, I really ask myself whether we humans ever learn ANYTHING from history. But since large companies are currently being described as "woke" and "communist" in the USA, I've lost hope in people's historical education anyway 🤣
@@anacrohnistin I partly agree with you, as far as the resistance and compliance rates are concerned, absolutely, however I would like to add that far-right parties in Europe are rising everywhere, not in Germany specifically (Italy, Poland, and France for example have similar or worse issues) Fascism isn't country specific, and few countries even try to work out their history (Germany at least tries in the current generation even if they hyperfixate too much imo) so they have little way to learn from it, and overall, with repressed issues and a very situation-specific education style, it's no wonder that history repeats itself. Human nature, as a whole, never really changes.

I read somewhere that he got it to deal w anxiety. If im not mistaken, it sounded a lot like he was dealing with agoraphobia type feelings and it made him more willing to go out
My theory is that he did an audition for a school musical in 7th grade hoping to get the lead role. Instead he got the role of "Dog #2". He was so exited and hopeful about getting the lead, that being stuck crawling around stage and barking as "Dog #2" humiliated, and absolutely crushed and him emotionally. To get back at his drama teacher, and the others in charge of casting, he decided to commit to this bit for life, to show how good of a "Dog #2" he can be. And hopefully lead the drama teacher to go down a remorseful spiral of being the reason that a former student has obsessively committed the entirety of his life to prove her wrong, and make her doubt every decision she makes in the future, as she fears that people could easily waste their life all because of a decision she made. she now is unable to make her own decisions and has someone follow her around to decide her every action, that way, if anything happens she can easily transfer the blame onto them.
@@Imjustagirlygirl @jazlynlopez6409 Now we just have to track down the teacher, and make a complex film style documentary about it to raise awareness for the teacher's struggles.
Every time Cooper said “border collie” i died a little more inside, especially when the guy straight up said he was a rough collie and Cooper kept going saying “border collie”
He's a rough collie, not a border collie, but close enough Also an anthropomorphized character isn't JUST a character on two legs, it's a character with human features. So a talking dog like in 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, etc all those dogs are anthropomorphized! A lot of people call themselves "Therians" where they feel more connected to animals, so dressing up and acting as an animal can relieve a lot of stress, anxiety and trauma for them!
i wanted to make my own comment mentioning therians but english is not my first language so i probably wouldn't have been able to explain it well. but thank you for mentioning it because there is a lot of misinformation on the therian and otherkin/alterhuman groups in general, like the idea that "it's a f*tish thing" which isn't true

Furry here! Hi, this is known as a quadsuit, which is a form of fursuit. Not all quadsuits are made for a f3tish but I am sure some are. Anyways, most of the furry fandom are in it for the fun of drawing and dressing up as an anthro animal, most of the fandom do not have any suits, and a lot of the fandom are children. On the other hand, some furries may be in the fandom because of a f3tish, and do IT in suits. Those people are called "mursuiters" and are completely valid within the fandom, as long as you wash your suit and do not take those suits specifically for mursuiting out in public. Not hate just wanted to inform

I just want to say this guy worked his bum off to buy this suit. He being someone who works a blue collar job in japan I get it. People do what they can to relieve stress and to reconnect to their childhood. In no way do I see this as strange. He doesn't live in a dog suit 24/7 he still goes back and does the "normal" this is no different then cosplaying or acting he is playing a character and it makes him happy. I love to see people be happy !
I agree as someone who started reconnecting with childhood and thinks that make me happy or that I didnt do before because I was afraid of being cringe I think its really awesome that he bought a suit like that and has the courage to upload videos. I've gotten into the otherkin community and this is very similar to me. Also, if he spent that much money on something it means a lot to him and he deserves that happiness!
@@someturtle6500 Really awsome to hear a bit of your story. I love that you are healing your "little self" through a community you feel comfortable in. It takes A Lot, of courage to be genuine! People bark out of their own discomfort and jealousy. Just remember people say mean things to hopefully take a bite out of other's happiness. They lack their own so wish to pull other people down with them. Its selfish but try to see the hurt child within them, and know it really only means "I can't do that so why should you get too?". I hope this helps you know it has nothing to do with you. People selfproject their own insecurities on other people.
I don't agree with him going out in that suit and letting people pet him , because those people don't know that he's actually a man , I agree tho that there's nothing wrong if he does it in a non-public space.
Yeah honestly I didn't rly like how he dealt with this one. Maybe it has to do with how I've known about the man for quite awhile now but I just wasn't feeling this video
i honestly thought it was a sheltie costume not rough collie, but looking at more pictures and learning a bit more about rough collies, i totally see it.
For cultural context, when Japanese say "my pace," they mean no real schedule, just whenever they feel like, and it's not quite as aggressive as it comes across in English
0:54 Thank you Cooper, we love you too 1:53 Once again, thank you Cooper for clearing up the misunderstandings, we do not claim this guy, or dog, or whatever he is, in our community *EDIT:* I am sorry if my first comment about Toco sounded a bit aggressive/harsh, I didn't mean to make it sound like that. I don't think he's a Zoophile, I just think it's strange when someone tries to be an animal. I don't think it's a hobby, because a hobby is an activity, and "I wanna be a dog" is definitely not one. If it's a therapeutic type of thing, it should rather be in a safe/private environment in my opinion. He is walking on a leash, being pet and called "a good boy", rolls over and more in public, that's what puts me off the most honestly. I'm sorry for the extension, I just wanted to clear this up after getting all different kind of replies.

In some parts of the Spanish speaking world, América del Norte and América del Sur are considered one continent, simply América. As far as which continent México is on, it’s North America. When I was taking a class in human geography, we grouped various countries into demographic and cultural regions rather than purely into continents. (We did still learn continents, but a lot of our focus was on the ways that geography and history has shaped human culture. We also learned about how making decisions like where to make a border without considering the people already there have caused strife for centuries to come.) So when we were learning about the Middle East, my instructor grouped Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt with it because they are more culturally and demographically linked to the Middle East than those five northernmost countries in Africa are to the rest of the continent. Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, and Tunisia are all largely Arab countries with a history of being ruled by various caliphates. Similarly, I was taught that all of Central America is in North America because Central America is a cultural region more than a geographic one. The peoples of South America and Central America are much more culturally and historically related than the peoples of Central America and the US & Canada. That’s not to diminish the individuality of the cultures of each nation and each region, simply to give a rough socio geographic grouping of where the roots of those cultures come from. Latin America was almost entirely colonized by the Spanish and Portuguese empires (almost everywhere but Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname). The US and Canada were largely colonized by the English and French empires, with a lot of the US also being colonized by the Spanish empire. When the US beat Mexico in the Mexican American War, lots of the Spanish influence on the regions that we took from them was diminished or destroyed. When Texas became an independent state, that was fueled by white Anglo Americans moving there in large numbers. The policy of manifest destiny meant that a lot of that cultural influence from the indigenous peoples and the Spaniards was quashed in favor of white Anglo Protestant culture.
OMG THIS REMINDS ME OF WHEN I WAS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND ALL THE KIDS WOULD TELL CREEPY STORIES. One of those stories was about a girl who had a pet dog who ran away and was thought to dead. A week later her dog came back and she was so happy but she couldn’t help but notice something was different or off about him. Normally her dog would sleep outside on her porch to protect her but when her dog came back he would sleep on her bed beside her. She dismissed everything because she was just happy he was back but the first day she went to work since her dog being back and she came home every day at 5pm she found drops of blood around her house every day but she dismissed it again thinking she was just seeing things bc of how tired she was. One day she decided to come home from work early at 4pm and she opened the door to her dog standing on two feet staring dead into her eyes. The dog lifted its paw and unzipped its suit from the inside it fell off of him and a naked man stepped out holding a knife and slowly stabbed her to death. 😭💀

This definitely occupies some nook of the uncanny valley. It's disturbing because it looks very close to being something familiar, but it's ever so slightly wrong in a way that feels alien and strange. The juxtaposition ends up feeling scary as hell.
Only two minutes in but I wanna make a small correction: quadsuits (fursuits that are quadruped/ on all fours) are actually a thing within the furry community! It's pretty rare, but definitely a thing, and definitely comes in more realistic styles like the costume featured here. I'm not gonna make assumptions on whether this specific instance is a furry or furry-adjacent thing (mostly because I haven't yet watched the video through), though it is incorrect to say this is inherently non-furry because the costume isn't on two legs. (Also as others have pointed out, animals can still be anthropromorphized without walking on two legs! Think any main character from a Disney movie focused on animals like The Fox and The Hound, 101 Dalmations, etc.) Quadsuits are honestly a really cool craft and I recommend looking them up! Some are more awkward-looking than others, but a lot can pull off the illusion pretty effectively and I think it's an underappreciated subtype of fursuit.
yes, thank you! i was sitting through that whole explanation like “oh boy now we’ve gotta explain what quadsuits are” 😭 i still don’t know if this specific guy is actually a furry, but i imagine that his dog costume probably functions at least somewhat like a quadsuit because there’s just not many ways to pull off that illusion
@@countessspiritclaws5465 YEAH agreed. Even if this specific instance isn't a furry thing, the costume is still built like how a quadsuit would be. While quadsuits are a more rare sight in the fursuiting community, they're still a thing and it is incorrect to say this costume is completely different from fursuits.
Hi from Brazil! Just so you know, Mexico is part of North America, it is often confused as being either South or Central America due to it being a Latin American country. :) I love your channel and I'm very happy with all the your success in here, your videos genuinely bright my days.

Actually, I am one of those people that says he can do whatever he wants 😅 I mean, as long as he doesn’t hurt/offend anyone, people should do what makes them happy. Sure we might think it is odd or cringe, but if it makes them happy and they’re not hurting others, then let them do what they want.
if it makes u feel better, as a (novice, ig?) furry I can tell that his suit wasn't made to have sex in really. he probably just wants to be a dog ngl, sometimes it's genuinely not a sex thing and some of us just want to be a cute animal
So that suit is actually something known as a quadsuit and the way they typically walk is with stilts that extend for their arms and sometimes the neck area. I discovered quadsuits because I saw a girl cosplaying as a unicorn at a convention in 2016 and had to do a deep dive on HOW the heck they work. Horses and dogs are the most popular types but there are also people who have done wolf link or the wolf from Princess Mononoke.

1:59 COOPER- Cooper, babygirl. As a furry, for the LOVE OF GOD look up what quadsuits are, (or just google realistic fursuit). Quadsuits have the potential to look absolutely insane in how realistic they can be, and are often incredibly expensive experimental suits that are pretty much a test of a maker’s talents. (For better or worse) they make them MORE realistic than that collie. Its wild how cool they can be.
The segment where you are showing him crawling up the window and talking about a recent coworker had me in TEARSSSS oh my god I would never be able to look that person in the eyes EVER AGAIN.
As a furry the videos I have seen of quad suits at furcon have been really cute suits with more natural walking and a cartoonish look. This suit unlike the other quad suits I have seen scares me because of how realistic and lifeless it looks.

On the other hand, he spent what I make in 3 years on a hyperrealistic dog costume which he goes out in public in while staying in full character so I can't help but be disturbed and worried about his overall mental state. I wish him the best, especially now that he's on the internet's radar for life. The internet can be very cruel and there have been countless stories of people crumbling to pieces under its scrutiny.

honestly, as a German, things like the oath to the American Flag, or the French National holiday celebrating a very bloody revolution, it's really odd to me.

Some people love stamps, some people love action figures, and this man loves border collies.

right like people just assume because of its proximity to a fursuit that makes it a f3tish but it just aint that in this guys case

Average American geography knowledge
@@anacrohnistin I partly agree with you, as far as the resistance and compliance rates are concerned, absolutely, however I would like to add that far-right parties in Europe are rising everywhere, not in Germany specifically (Italy, Poland, and France for example have similar or worse issues)
Fascism isn't country specific, and few countries even try to work out their history (Germany at least tries in the current generation even if they hyperfixate too much imo) so they have little way to learn from it, and overall, with repressed issues and a very situation-specific education style, it's no wonder that history repeats itself. Human nature, as a whole, never really changes.

And hopefully lead the drama teacher to go down a remorseful spiral of being the reason that a former student has obsessively committed the entirety of his life to prove her wrong, and make her doubt every decision she makes in the future, as she fears that people could easily waste their life all because of a decision she made. she now is unable to make her own decisions and has someone follow her around to decide her every action, that way, if anything happens she can easily transfer the blame onto them.

i love cooper's demented man rants lol i dont think this is as weird honestly, i think he just sometimes puts on the suit and acts like a dog to unwind or something, it feels like thats his hobby

The policy of manifest destiny meant that a lot of that cultural influence from the indigenous peoples and the Spaniards was quashed in favor of white Anglo Protestant culture.
my mom is from cuba, and she can conform, they where taught that it was just 1 continent

@@Mystery_luvvprolly why they're one of, if not *the* most, successful insect species of all time.
Think any main character from a Disney movie focused on animals like The Fox and The Hound, 101 Dalmations, etc.)
Quadsuits are honestly a really cool craft and I recommend looking them up!

Actually, I am one of those people that says he can do whatever he wants 😅
I mean, as long as he doesn’t hurt/offend anyone, people should do what makes them happy. Sure we might think it is odd or cringe, but if it makes them happy and they’re not hurting others, then let them do what they want.
that's exactly what i'm thinking i don't know why people care so much

if it makes u feel better, as a (novice, ig?) furry I can tell that his suit wasn't made to have sex in really. he probably just wants to be a dog ngl, sometimes it's genuinely not a sex thing and some of us just want to be a cute animal

When you put Germany and Amsterdam in the same sentence….I screamed in pain. A flow of tears
why is this dog suit so... uncanny? it really does remind me of tusk.
i would be absolutely terrified if not for cooper's jokes through the video omg
I think because it’s really close to looking like a dog, but not quite. The not quite is where the uncanny is.
Update, there are now 2 people in dog suits, his friend is a malamute. They’re multiplying

Horses and dogs are the most popular types but there are also people who have done wolf link or the wolf from Princess Mononoke.
this one doesnt seem to have stilts though since the limbs are very short so I think it's indeed somehow him... folding up his legs?? idk how honestly.
