For most shoots under the 'mountains' setting. It is about 3m, which gives great leniency for any focus errors. Also the Trip 35 optimizes the shutter speed and aperture for that distance in normal light.
@@agylub - That isn't how the Trip works. If I put it on A. The camera will select shutter speed and aperture. It doesn't have a manual mode. If you set the aperture, flash mode, that will only mean that it can't open more than that aperture. And it will default to only 1/40 of a second. Ex: If I turn it to f5.6, It can't open up more than f5.6, but if the correct setting in f11 at 1/40th, that is still what the camera will be.
Austin Beeman you’re right. I got confused with my Yashica Electro 35. My Trip is on loan to a friends 12 year old son so I haven’t seen it for a while. Humble apologies
@@agylub - No worries man. Just glad you are one of us Trippers. I often meet people who think it is manual and ruin frames from time to time. Thats a shame.
Interesting photo walk, great location.
I've just picked up an Olympus Trip 35 and your video was very inspiring.
You say you used Portra 400. Did you rate it at box speed or 200? Or...? Thanks! Great video!
I tend to always rate Portra at box speed. It has great flexibility for over and under exposure.
I loved your video, one more subscribed.
Thank You. So glad you enjoyed it
Your images look sharp! Can you give any advices on how to have really good focused shots.. Thank you!

Austin Beeman no. You set the aperture. The camera sets the speed. It does not optimise speed & aperture.

How has this only got 374 views in nearly a year. People on youtube are watching the wrong stuff. This is neat!
Thanks for the kind words. I definitely agree, of course. Glad you enjoyed it.
What roll did you use? Kodak Colourplus 200?
It was Kodak Portrait 400
