Paolo i got a question and it might even be a bad one, was this filmed before winter ? or is winter always warmer in Japan ? i was getting chills seeing you in T-shirt while it is -6 C here :P
4:32 : Lemme guess. The pizza was baked inside the wok over one of those big jet burners, the oil atop the pizza vaporized and got burned by the flames licking the sides of the wok, resulting in this little charring on top. Did I get it right ?
You are arranged by an agency, your advertisement is sometimes repeated, so that people and tourists always see your videos. About the life of Japanese people.
Glad to see you're still producing these types of videos. Playing your food guides on repeat until my trip in April! You've been a constant staple for food recs for my trips
This is what I did when I visited Tokyo a few years ago on my own, downloaded Paolo’s maps and made a note on my phone with the locations ! Was a great trip!
@@Modge17 hey, if you still have it and don't mind, do you think you can send me the note with the locations? I just booked a trip with my friends and we're staying in Japan for three weeks, starting from Tokyo and moving down to Matsuyama before going back up to Tokyo for our flight back. Also if you have any recommendations, that will be well appreciated! Thanks!
You never fail to put cheer in your videos. With so many chasing negative news and fear mongering out there, I keep watching this channel to see the good things in life.
I like this channel because he a family man and has so much character.I just came back from Kyoto two days ago and it was fabulous except the weather, hot and humid. I knew that when I went but I still enjoyed being there. Next time I will go in October.
I took my young son to Japan before the pandemic. We had such an amazing time. I spent a year planning the trip. I haven’t been able to go since the pandemic so I’ve had a lot of fun watching your informative videos and learning more about Japan. Thank you so much. You’re very good at what you do and I like the contact in the educational/personal style of your videos and that they’re not all about eating. Good job!
The Tsukiji fish market looks like a fairly nice place to visit. Thanks for taking us around, Paolo. May God bless you and your family. Happy Holidays.
It’s a tourist trap but these are decent choices 😀 except Tsukiji Teppanyaki Juju. We paid 140$ for the bigger size A5 steak and sea urchin on top. And let me tell you neither was what we expected. For that price the sauce they put on top is rather cheap tasting kinda like a less sweet version of teriyaki. And the meat doesn’t melt in your mouth like some other shops. The best we had was one shop to the side where a white guy who spoke Japanese was working. Sold cubed meats on a skewer and seasoned with just sea salt. The meat cubes just melt in your mouth. Tsukiji Teppanyaki Juju was a big let down
Tsukiji is one of my very favorite places on Earth; the food there is to die for and I spent not one but TWO entire afternoons eating any and every thing I could find there. It's culinary heaven, pure and simple. If money were no object I'd live there. It's *that* damn good. If you're planning a Tokyo trip, definitely plan to go here. I can't wait to go back!

Thank you so much for this video. I watched it before my family took a trip to Tsukiji and we happened upon the Peppers Cafe while we were with a tour group. I got so excited that I exclaimed "I know this shop! From Paolo's TH-cam!", The owners heard me and chuckled and said "Oh yes Paolo!". So when our tour was over we of course retraced our steps and made it back there for some coffee and delicious pizza! The owners and staff are so friendly and the food was super delicious! I spent probably close to $1000 there including fruits, snacks, ice cream, japanese egg which i forget what is called, several steaks, the best one were cut pieces and seafood, which I liked the fatty tuna.

Am currently visiting Japan, and saw this video a few months ago when planning my trip. Family and I stumbled down the alleyway shown at the beginning looking for some place to cool off from the heat. And lo and behold, we found the Pepper’s Cafe. And holy cow, their Peppercorns are INCREDIBLE. That place is no joke and EASILY one of the best and most special places we’ve stumbled across in Japan so far. Tetsu and Yoko and so sweet and took care of us so well, it was wonderful to meet them. If you are in Tsukiji, this shop is a must try. Their pizza and cola is out of this world, and the peppercorns are too. Thank you Paolo for the amazing recommendation, it was wonderful to come across such a special place from your wonderful country. ;)
