Great video thanks! question : why didnt you hook up the pipe that was attached to the chromy hose on the top right of the water pump ? it seems that there was a pipe connected to it in the older pump. Thank you

I did it. It might not be recorded in the video because that pipe is to regulate the circulation of the coolant through the engine.

Mine is leaking so i bought a non variable (no vaccum) one.
would it throw a code after ? I’ve been told at the dealer that they’re less likely to fail and safer than variable ones.

You always replace the water pump with the water pump housing. Usually the housing is the part that is leaking, not the pump. If you buy it original, the water pump always comes with the housing.

That I got told as well since it is the housing that is the faulty thing as well. Any videos you recommend that shows both?

@@AlaGamesMobile I dont have a video for that. But I guess you can just google it. Old version of the housing was made by plastic fantastic. Latest version is made by aluminium.

I used T35 but you need to fit the bit properly before applying force to slacken or tighten the screw.
