Get yourself a small UV light if you have trouble finding the scorpions.
A secure (locked) shelf for venomous animals that can potentially harm your pet cat or dog (or your kids) is a brilliant idea.
This is one of the reasons I quit posting on certain forum - when I mentioned that I won't be getting old world tarantulas unless i can lock them on a shelf so that my cat won't be able to mess with the enclosures they basically mocked me for it.
The other reason was that apparently everything I did was wrong but the advice given was potentially even more harmful.
I personally view that as sage advice. I always take extra care with my Ts and my kitties. Cats are intrinsically nosy. And crafty.
I have a spare room that I house my dangerous critters in that I keep locked with a warning sign on it. For some reason the maintenance guys at my Apts don't like coming over. Lol
@@rodneybever9583 just let em know what's in there and let em have a peak if they are curious. I used to be maintenance at a appt complex most the time after I can see what might be roaming the house I was alot better than just seeing a door of " dangerous animals beyond" cuz we don't know wtf

I was about to say that’s just spiders but then I looked up the term arachnophobia and yes it’s including scorpions so that saved me from looking dumb lol
To me, I like them but from a distance. Not a phobia, but afraid about what they can do to me so I would call it a fearspect.

I love the fact that it is Like having pets, but none of the dangers, following your channel and lovely critters
Also have a emergency first aid kit that's meant for in case of a bite/sting. Every exotic creature TH-cam collector should have a video about a plan for a scenario if a bite or sting happens, collectors are always around venomous creatures so it is appropriate. Even if the venom is not strong, people may react differently to it.
Also make sure their doctors are included. Don't want to wind up like one keeper who got tagged by her gabboon viper and told doc that is what bit her and they gave her Crofab. Killed her is what happened.
I guess he knows you have enough experience. Otherwise that could be seen as: "To your order of 10 deadly creatures - as a bonus - I offer you +1 chance of death by venom.
Venom not poison. Poison can be implemented in more ways unlike venom. Venom can only be sprayed or injected. There is a genus of snake that is both venomous and poisonous. Poisonous due to build up of toxins from their prey which release from neucal glands in neck

Be careful keeping them communal if they aren’t adults. They will often eat eachother if one is vulnerable moulting.
Your very rite. Bad idea. Keep them well fed and hot or lose them to molting or cannibalism
Also LD 50 is highest of other Buthidae species. But they inject tiny amount. Parabuthus or andros are the ones to worry about.

Love your Deathstalkers a great addition for your collection. Just yesterday i got my first Poecilotheria striata for my T collection, she Is a very nice 4 inch specimen, not aggressive, but very defensive and lightning quick.

It’s great that you are being responsible with your advice for your viewers. And practicing what you are preaching, unlike some TH-camrs who are very irresponsible in a way which almost guarantees that someone is going to have a very bad accident, having been influenced by what they see
I love communal species it's always neat to watch how they act move with others around them and also always gets the heart racing (and they sometimes they eat each other flashback to jungle nymphs) love the vids

Dunno why, but scorpions have never bothered me like most spiders (aside from jumpers) do. Even had a striped bark scorpion for a little bit.
