    I just bought a laptop and paid full price for it. The manufacturer told me they removed the processor to save money, but they will release an OS that runs on air. But yeah, I'm crazy for expecting it to work on day 1. I'm sure they will release software updates and eventually my laptop will work. I just need to be patient, everything is fine.

      And rainsensor, and pulse-sensor in steeringwheel, and sensor for auto-dim, and the radar (mine got but unforgivingly he removed the functionality of it) and to finish off, rumours are the outside thermometer will be gone on HW4...Greed is gonna kill Tesla unless this stops as the cars in my opinion is terrible today in anything but lab-perfect weather.

      WTF i am on about is that many other cars got such a sensor in the steeringwheel and thats fully enough to recognize to the car that you got your hands on the steeringwheel. Tesla has saved that too and made so you have to fight the steering for it to sense you have your hands on the wheel where in other brands, you just need to hold the wheel...That wasnt so much WTF after all was it? And i imagine you too will se that this saves Tesla money too, on the behalf of the drivers comfort. No, i havent complained about it, i knew it and bought the car that way so completely fair, but its still a very rough way of sensing your hands.

Mine doesn't go as nearly as crazy as that but from what I can tell with vision only it seems to be more cautious than the USS. That's not really a bad thing. At least we can tell they are in fact working.

      Are the lines on a Tesla with USS straight and stable? Without USS, the lines are just all over the place.

    • @erichchan3
      @erichchan3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Better to be more conservative than aggressive. It's almost as if people want their Teslas to be like 1 mm away from an obstruction which is ridiculous. I havent received the update yet but it seems ok to me for now. Obviously the forward facing estimation is the weak point which is expected since it can't see right in front of the hood.

    • @liam1902
      @liam1902 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erichchan3 I agree that it should be conservative right now cause that'll minimize any potential accident while using the estimates. Tesla can collect data and then improve Tesla Vision to be more accurate over time. I just recently got the update so will be testing it more throughout the week.
      I think people who park in very tight garages are a bit upset it's inaccurate compared to USS but for me personally, as long as it's helping during the driving/parking experience then it's a great start.

      I wholeheartedly disagree. If you are going to replace sensors that work well, they should be better than what's replaced..... or keep the USS active while the Teslavision is fine tuned. And you are giving an opinion without even seeing how they actually work?
      This has got nothing to do with "conservative".... it either works accurately or it shouldn't have been distributed. I'm not talking about autonomous driving, I'm talking about parking my car without running into something.
      I'd like to know how Tesla is going to fix a forward camera that cannot see.

    • @wonderboy75
      @wonderboy75 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with having a very conservative/cautious system is when you have to use a very tight parking space. The cautious system will just beep and warn you to stop. You might be forced to go further than it tells you anyways and that's not very helpful, as opposed to having a more precise system.

    I want Tesla to retrofit sensors on my car. I ordered with sensors, and they took them off with a note stating "vision will be comparable or better than sensors". This system is trash. It doesn't load half the time and rarely detects what is needed. Throwing a half baked system on a car and selling it that way is one thing, but selling a car with sensors and saying your car will be just as good or better is blatant false advertising.

    They will make it better im pretty sure its a new technology. However USS are the best way to calculate distance since like idk 20+ years... On all my cars they beep (HIT) and when I go out I have like 5-6 cm which is super usefull to park your car in a tight spaces.. Tesla right now is just dont want to make someone hit something so it is extra procosions but instead of STOP should just show the inches it is my decision when to stop... Maybe I want to hit my car why not... Also front camera being on windshield its complete useless... it should be put on front bumper.
    All germans cars have it that way one camera on the front bumper 1 on rear bumper and 1 camera in each mirror, creating the Bird view thats the way to go. There you are able to see everything around your car with the cameras and not some AI trying to paint a lines on your screen..
    I really hope they improve this as soon Im waiting for mine, good think it is end of 2022 model and still has the USS, but to be honest im quite dissapointed from this Vision Park Assist... It is something that other car brands has it for like 5-6 years its not a rocket science they could do it better...

      @@MRdiffside that is not how it works at least for the front bumper. Yes it is a misstep on Tesla's part for removing the USS sensors and not having sufficient coverage like an additional camera by the front license plate vent to at least have coverage for objects right in front of the hold. Doesnt matter at this point what it is at because I am pretty sure u have not tried the park assist for yourself to really make your own judgement either. You do know that the front facing cameras are not located outside so they are not exposed directly to snow, rain or dirt.

      @@MyGadgetsWorld haha yup. It looks like other car manufacturers are ahead of Tesla when it comes to self driving and it looks like Tesla is going in the wrong direction with some of the technology to save costs. The model 3 and model y are still fantastic cars for the price, but I have to admit I'm disappointed in some areas such as the one you covered in your video.

      Seriously, if I had known there were no sensors I would have cancelled. What is this version 1 nonsense?
      It's NOT pretty good - it sucks. How can you update missing cameras that are needed for it to work correctly? .... I would like to see a retrofit with USS or laser.

    It's actually downward pathetic to release it in its current state. It's so full of bugs. I want to disable it right away. Its full of annoying beeps when it shouldn't beep. I mean, just driving slow in traffic causes this thing to guess the distance from other cars. And it's wrong most of the time. Beeping to stop.
