I like how this video just devolves into four people cackling for almost an hour. Korey's neighbours must think he's turned his home into a nuthouse.

I like to think Travolta is genuinely laughing at the scam he calls "religion", in some scenes; but then he'd have to be self-aware, and laugh at himself too for joining that cult. 🥴🙄
I swear, the part where Travolta hits his head on the ceiling really does seem like an outtake they just left in. 😂
See, the 60s Batman had a method behind the Dutch angles. They used them specifically in villain scenes, to make things feel off-kilter (because villains are 'crooked')...but in Battlefield Earth, it just seems like the Dutch angle switch got stuck in the ON position.

It's an awful book. The description of the books are boring and there is nothing unique or interesting with the scifi elements.

Apparently they played it opposite the scientology center (whatever it's called) at a theatre there and they all stood up and clapped at the end. That's what I read, if that's true then obviously they were all scientologists or scientologits as I like to call them.
Battlefield Earth seems like the kind of movie Travolta would do NOW, for a paycheck. It's hard to believe this was such a passion project for him, to play THAT role. haha All I can say is, Scientology is a helluva drug.
He'd been trying to get this movie made since the novel came out in 1982, and he'd originally wanted to play the hero but by the time it was made he was just too old for the part

Billy's laugh to me is reminiscent of Rich's laugh (from RLM) it's so loud and annoying and yet genuine that it becomes endearing. Sometimes he'll make something more funny just by his reaction 😂
