The reason I want to see this is to hear you talk about what exactly your ideal path looks like, and how you decide where to go when the path branches, maybe like your overexplained series. (Plus it'd be pretty poggies)

Two that come to mind: 1) Speedrun the Spire, you skip every other floor, but you get to pick from any of the options available on that floor (like a permanent Winged Boots) 2) Boss rush- you get all of Act 1 to prepare, and you can go back and forth and up and down as much as you like, but once you go to the first boss you have to all of the bosses consecutively (so you don't get any encounters in Act II, III, or IV) Anyways, good content, thanks for the vid!
A run where you just double the floors would be neat, like going to an elite and having to fight 2 back to back, going to a chest and getting 2 chests.
With the first few encounters being 1 hp, this is basically just easier than normal. I actively seek out elites because the relic rewards tend to quickly add up to make you so strong that an elite is easier than a normal encounter
You could do a rest only run. Start off with some/all the rest relics (Mainly dreamcatcher but you could start with shovel, girya, etc). Put whatever an average amount of floors would be and make them all rest sites. You now have to build a deck by only getting cards from dreamcatcher as well as getting upgrades, girya str, and shovel for relics outside of the bosses. Could prove to be a very tough challenge me thinks

A challenge I found interesting with the map editor mod was to have 5 shops and then the boss each chapter and gave myself a lot of money so I can get what I want from the shops.
The deck that I used was I just grabbed as many useless zero zero cards that I could find and then there was a card that turned the amount of cards in your hand into shivs with that and get bullseye. And even then I think there's an item that also increases shiv damage and you're set. Love the content. Keep up the great work. Currently trying to beat the game myself

Whenever I think that this community finally competed the mod scene and we got everything that we could out of it, THEY FUCKING SURPRISE ME! and I love it so much.
You could do a lot of content where you have to add floors when something happens. Like: Every time you take a card reward, add a ? As your next room Every time you open a chest, add an Elite as your next room Every time you skip a relic, add a campfire as your next room Every time you upgrade a card, add a fight to the map that you must encounter For every time you shuffle your deck, add another random floor to your path The possibilities are endless!
Make a large circle with every area connected to each other. You have to beat the entire floor before doing the boss, but you can choose when to go to shops, question marks, and fights.
It might not make great youtube content but honestly a zig zag all ? run sounds awesome. Need a few campfires to a least get the key. Maybe keep the chest in the middle too for the same reason. I just like the idea of seeing every event in the game on one single run. And it changes your strategy when you know you're almost guaranteed apparitions, bites, jax, a book relic etc.
Here's an Idea "Running the Gauntlet" An ascension 25 run, where there is one single path, and as many nodes as you can physically fit on it. And one elite fight every 4 floors after the first (so the first elite is floor 5, the next is floor 9, the next is floor 13, and so on) One campfire every 6th floor And one Question mark every 7th floor, unless that 7th floor would be an elite floor, in which case, the elite takes precedence. Every other floor is a normal fight, except the middle floor which is a chest as normal, and the floor immediately before the boss, which is still a campfire. The goal is simple, beat the heart by any means necessary.
honestly is it possible to win if you only get relic chests? only campfires and shops are allowed. all fights and question marks and elites are relic chests. i honestly want to know if it is even possible. this is my suggestion for a challenge

Start with a custom deck and nothing but question marks for your pathing until you reach the heart. Ironclad curse deck immediately comes to mind but you're the god gamer so it's open to your interpretation
heres an idea for this mod: normal amount of floors but most rooms are shops, with exclusion of 1 super elite, 1 campsite and 1 chest per Act, but i would say only grabbing keys at these locations and for fights. you can cheat in infinite money but can only take/remove 1 item per shop. can not save "buys" to stock up for good stuff in 1 store. Also if it could be on Defect that'd be awesome as he hasn't gotten much love recently on YT. May need to fiddle with it a bit for difficulty issue (don't want it to be too easy / hard / short) but seems like i'd be fun, GL!

I'll add one thing to the paying artists discussion: don't base what you pay on how long it takes them. 2 artists could be selling identical quality goods and it took one 8 hours to make and one 1 hour, it doesn't make the art less valuable, it makes their time more valuable. But yeah, always pay artists what they're worth 😊
