    Trucks in America most common problems are electrical related. Here in the States, we have to much of the vehicle depending on computers. Very nice until something goes wrong. Then when you want it fixed they just start putting new parts on until the problem goes away. Love this channel. If I was 40 years younger I would like to work with these guys for two years for free just to learn there skills.

      most new alternators can`t be rebuilt or taken apart--this guy just CLEANED the alternator-didn`t even clean up the commutator or replace brushes

    • @UAUnstableMaker
      @UAUnstableMaker 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@darkmanzz Yep. He just made it look better. But the pulley is still shitty and shaft surfaces are corroded.
      It is possible to really repair it, but it requires a couple of expensive machines and hard work.
      There are people who do such stuff here in Ukraine, but it costs a lot and is only used when a new part is extremely expensive (like parts for huge agricultural machines).

      It won’t come off that easy. You need to use an impact wrench.

      @@pakistanitruck A good trick is to wrap thick rope around the pulley and hold the pulley in a vice to remove the nut, the rope stops the vice from damaging the pulley.

    These guys can't just run to local parts store to buy a new one. I think it's a good lesson in "make it work".

      There is no "Local Part's" store, that's why they resort to their repair methods. Things are quite different in Third World countries.
