When your special lady is not more important than cassette tapes .. 👀 no words really . Legend has it he’s still in his bed giving orders for breakfast 😂
Well he was saying she’s not more important then a whole future generation and that’s true not one of us are more important then anyone els so I get he was trying to do good environmental but what really shows the wife isn’t important is that she’s sick and he was sat up in his room acting like a baby making his poor wife works so hard when it’s his hoard not hers
Elaine should in my opinion, tell her husband to rent a storage locker off the premises. If he wants to hoard he can, but not on the property. She deserves a clean and tidy home for her own mental and physical health.
This is extremely difficult to watch . To have this man display such selfishness , as well as no regard to his wife or daughter and how this affects their life is wild . You want those things , you get whatever fits in that camper . When he can then stay . Let his wife and daughter stay in the house .
yes indeed. great idea mate! That poor woman has a mobility disease and she doesn't ask for much! A clear path through the house so she doesn't fall over or trip on his crap & a wee bit of room on the bench so she can use the microwave to cook his tea without having to move 875 items first! So yes Alison Howie, your idea is absolutely brilliant! That selfish childish git of a man can stay in the camper and the lovely daughter and way too tolerant Mum can have the peaceful life they deserve, in a roomy house that's easy to cook in and clean!
Penny said it - he hasn't got the balls, but still needs to be in control of everything! Resting in his room, fuming, like a little child and still pulling the strings on his wife who has a serious condition! Does his wife know that she will not be able to count on him when the end is near?
He's the poster CHILD for selfishness! !...I do think his wife loves him, but there's a fear she has as well. When you become very ill, there's a fear of being left alone. I'm sure he's picked up on that, and being as selfish as he is he'll play it for all it's worth...😢
I was a collector of this and that but not to this scale. My adult kids have all said not interested in any of it so I have and continue to sell stuff it is a great relief
My dad collects certain toys from his childhood. Which, admittedly, wasn't very far off from my childhood. He collected transformers, video games, and such. Some things I will want, but most will be sold as he's asked me to do.
My grandad had loads of model trains and he sold loads off when he was much older. He did keep enough for him to use on his model railway, but at a much smaller scale to his full collection.
This was filmed quite a few years ago. The UK also has lots of donation shops, yard sales, and things of that nature. I don't live in the UK, but i do know for a fact they also have Facebook marketplace place and other trading pages.
I'm so much like you. I would say I'd be hard pressed to lend hours of time to anyone who couldn't even say “Thank you for your time” Best wishes from Texas!!!
every collector has some "justification" for his collecting, the truth is that it will never make money and will never be useful, but after their death, their heirs have to order containers, waste time and money
This is an old episode from around 2012 or 13. No new OCD vids have been made in at least six years, but I know this one is much older than that, having seen it when it first came out.
PS : And to stay locked in his bedroom and not come out , to at least thank the kind lady ... Say good bye , WHAT A ( SICK ) BABY !!!! Makes me 🤮🤮🤮 SICK , HOW HE PREFERS THE STUFF , OVER HIS VERY ILL WIFE ! If she had the strength , she'd probably divorce him .......
WHAT A CHILDISH , BUT EVER SO CONTROLLING BLOKE ! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎😢😢 That he'd prefer to keep his stuff inside the house and have his daughter stay in a camper van in their front yard ??? He definitely has his priorities mixed up ! Felt for his wife as well . MS is a serious depleting degenerative illness ! 😢😢😢 Surely he'd want the best for her ??? We all know how MS ends ! Happy the kind lady stayed , to clean up her loungeroom & kitchen 👍👍👍⚘❤
Paul is delusional and selfish. All those things he thinks are collectors items have all been mass produced in the thousands. They aren't worth what he thinks they are. What a waste of money. Elaine should just tell him to get a storge unit and get all that crap out of the house. And then to have Elaine bring him a cup of tea when she has MS.?! I'd be taking the opportunity while he is in his room and toss all that crap.
I think that if you’re prepared to live with a hoarder you just have to have your own well-being in focus. That means the hoarder has to have a limited space for his or her stuff, i.e. a single room, a shed or a locker. When it gets this bad it’s always going to be a hard job.
This is an old episode from around 2012 or 13. No new OCD cleaner vids have been made in at least six years, but I saw this one, the full show, years earlier than that, when it first came out.
Paul the child. If you want to act like a 5 year old, you should be treated as such. What a brat. Storming off then hiding under the covers in your room. Grow up.
People who call themselves collectors and treat their "collection" like trash don't deserve to be coddled. They dont have the same mental health issues as most hoarders. They're just selfish, grandiose, and delusional. Let him grab hos crap and take it to an off-site storage unit.
He denied being a hoarder. His collectibles, true or not true ones, are to be part of his will ? Who cares ? His children or wife will throw it away, bc collectibles are in prestine condition. His " treasures" looked ragged and cheap. So, no, they're not worth the money and place. And sadly their children have to spend their visits in the camper....
Every time I see Penny's intro I can't help being annoyed that the lines on the bed aren't straight.... The guy in this one tho is seriously delusional. 🤦♀️
I couldn't tolerate this, who wants a friend to come to your house & start cleaning it? Lovely if you ask for help but super embarrassing if you haven't!
I wish that she lived around me because she would definitely make some money. I’m not a hoarder or a slob or anything. I would just like some help because I’m 75 and not in the greatest of health.
Dunno about that but I'd make her as welcome as the Queen if she'd like to pop around mine and give me some direction! I like her style very much! Honest and to the point but with incredible self control.
how crazy... to be so selfish - cannot clean up his own mess, not giving a normal space for other family members, and once you go, they will be the ones who'll have to deal with all that junk... life is not about all that material trash you think you need, it's about experiences and a place to call home where you can relax and enjoy peace and comfort
I don't have OCD but that thumbnail is a mess. Anyone that keeps the kitchen like that doesn't deserve one. Is it so hard to tidy up and put everything back where it was once you're done?
so here is my irritation with these sorts of videos dont get me wrong i know hoarding is a serious issue but lets put things in perspective. the goal i assume for the cleaner is to make moving around the house more manageable that shed if everything was pulled out and put back in neatly could have held alot more items same with all the rooms in the house heck 1 room could have held all the items in the house. the hoarder i have no doubt has tens of thousands of collectables because he know it will sell for xyz the issue is to someone who is not a collector will just think its junk. the cleaner should of sat down and said everything you know will be worth £100 or less put in this pile and everything u know will be worth 100-1000 put in this pile and everything higher then 1000 put in this pile. hes now focusing on not getting rid of stuff he values but simply sorting out the value then once u have set aside the stuff thats under £100 chances are your gonna get a bunch of toys, records, books, games and many more then you can probabley convince him to get rid of the stuff under £100 because he will quickly notice 90% of the items are not stuff he truly cares about. his emotions at the start of this was that your out to get rid of his star trek collection as a hoarder he needs to know thats safe but a bunch of shit toys like teddies and cars them are just sort of side things he picks up every week at car boot sales something he can get the money back from with a car boot of his own and it turns out thats EXACTLY what was done only they went threw the process of stressing him out and having a whirlwind of emotions. i have spoken with hoarders before and helped them u need to understand there side of an argument and go with that argument to devise a plan it dont always work but the ocd cleaner just didnt care about anything other than the woman living in that house and considered everything junk.
Do they really have to sa "Hoo-vah? They cant just say "vacuum "? It's a "television ", not a "telly"! Honestly, the people in the UK sound ridiculous!😂😅
Because you think that you own the English language ? THEIR language that you speak ? I repeat THEIR language ...the British have been speaking English for longer than your country ( whichever it is ) has had it as official language. So yeah they say telly , they also say brolly that I adore but you’ll hate of course and so many more interesting sounding words that are a delight for a person who speaks English as a second language....

It is not that easy.
I've known hoarders who did that and it doesn't work, they just fill those with more junk.

In USA we have yard sales all the time. Several Facebook Giveaway pages where people list their stuff for free. We also have several donation shops.
