Damn the shrine of secrets change is more brutal to me then expected. I always had about 8k shards saved up by the point a new killer comes out so I could get the extra 600k BP, but now it cost 24k shards for only 400k BP? Damn that hurts
Not a big fan of the extra charms. Instead they could give us the recolor outfits OR entirely new outfits only available with prestige. This would be great incentive to keep leveling up.
You don't need an incentive anymore really, since you don't get a choice past lv 50 and you don't lose anything from doing it. If it's a character you play a lot you're gonna want to get more offerings and add-on on them anyways and then prestiging will happen naturally.

At first I didn't understand what they meant with the 75% reduced grind from prestiging but I am happy to know that I keep my 1000 speed limiters on billy and my 573 alchemist rings on blight
It's only reduced by 75% if you want to get all the perks on every single character, and you actually suffer from increased BP needs for a long time thanks to bbq and wglf not rewarding BP anymore.
Oh yeah I know now but not every character I have is level 50 and I want too get it there I still don't have every perk I just like the idea of keeping my stuff for prestigeing
The shrine change seems more like a ploy to make people just buy characters instead. They should at least increase the amount of shards you get if they are going to change the shrine like that. Make it proportionate.
Shrine change, at least the 15k cost, seems to be a bug. You can look up "shrine of secrets nerf" and find a vid by dstrike showing the ones he already had at tier 3 costing 15k to get bloodpoints, but the one he didnt once he got to tier 3 only cost 4.5k to get the bp.
@@KazumiKiguma While that is significantly less than the 15k, 4.5k is still an increase in shards. That’s still a 125% increase with no increase on shards. Shards are already so few and far it just seems like they should also increase how many shards you get. But like someone else said it might change because it is the PTB so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Really hope that shrine is changed. 15k shards is a ridiculous amount to pay for a teachable perks, like you could literally spend 9k shards for the character (unless it's licensed). So the question what's a better trade, 9k shards and maybe 5 million bps for p3 character to get their 3 perks, or 45k shards...... Like it's not even close
It's 2k for tier 1, 4k for tier 2, 6k for tier 3. So it's 12k shards for one teachable perk tier 3. 36k for all three perks tier 3. And yes, it's not even close. Either you buy tier 1 perk and get it immediately for all characters to level it through blood web or buy dlc and prestige. I don't know if someone would want to buy tiers 2 and 3. Maybe that's the point.
when you buy a perk in the shrine, it will automatically unlock the perk to every character at tier 1, there are 3 tiers in the shrine, tier 1 is 2.000, tier 2 is 4.000 and tier 3 is 6.000

Its not even visible to other players as like, bragging rights? No BP, no Shards, no Cells, no cosmetics, no charms, not even an emblem for others to see? Geeeeeeee, so HAPPY I P3ed my characters. A truly comparable reward to Legacy, this is the NEW Legacy! A glowup beyond all comparison, a veritable holy grail of enjoyment and lasting value! ALL PRAISE THE GRACIOUS ENTITY FOR BESTOWING ON US THE MOST EXHILARATING REWARD IN ALL CREATION!! Gosh I'm gonna be so addicted to this like crack, you'll just see me opening up that character menu over and over again while waiting for a lo- oh wait, no I can't do that. Well who cares about the lobby, I could stare at that shine for 15k hours, YEARS of my life devoted to that effervescent gleam!! Those poor survs won't be graced with my Turkey King's presence as I will simply be staring at that glorious sheen around his character face for hours on end. Even the Dredge himself will lean up to the screen, wondering why no attention is put on him and rather his resplendent character picture. Sadako will nearly scream at me to look at her but nothing takes my attention away from her character selection pic's shiny glow. I have become enrapt, my life fritters away, I'm on my deathbed now. But seeing THAT glow as a reward for my efforts makes me realize that it was all worth it. As I close my eyes and shuffle off this mortal coil, I open up the character selection screen one more time. And seeing that one singular moment of glow, I close my eyes and die with a smile on my face......
The cost of the shrine is insane. Also the "reward" for having already prestiged a character is laughable. Behaviour seems afraid to give out anything cool, like the prestige rewards should've been reworked versions of Legacy cosmetics because it uses to take FOREVER to prestige

I mean I see nothing wrong with the shrine. It essentially works the same as before for in terms of getting perks, (in fact it's better since every character auto gets them after purchasing them). Also buying them now for BP isn't necessary anymore, because you never lose anything for prestiging and you will have to buy less perks overall in the bloodweb. Plus if you were spending 2k shards (which takes like 5 hours) for roughly 3-5 games worth of BP that you get when running BBQ or WGLF. Then it probably wasn't worth it considering you can now just get the free killers that now also come with all your tier 3 perks.
Should've made it where any prestige you do after the update restricts you from receiving a bloody cosmetics. Sorta like legacy skins. It'd represent a time we had
So the Shrine of Secrets seems a little bugged at the moment, but will perks previously unlocked from the Shrine now be available to all characters at level 1 assuming we haven’t found them in the bloodweb yet?
One thing I like is being able to show your love for a character or main by having a pretty high prestige level on them. I just wish there were more rewards or at the very least that the charms were prettier.
i agree ill be honest all those red charms with the diferent symbols look pretty ugly to me and they certainly arent an incentive for me to keep leveling my characters
@@marcomoreno900 if you go back to the character select screen at say 5.06 you can see that all characters that are prestiged have this kinda ugly yellow/gold colour on they pictures while say ashley williams who isnt prestiged doesnt have that colour to the portrait

Like in the original, getting to level 30, 35, and 40 will unlock the character's perks in everyone else's *bloodwebs.* However, prestiging the character unlocks the character's perks in everyone else's *inventory,* and you don't have to go through the bloodweb to get them. For example, if you really like bbq and chilli, you can prestige bubba 3 times and unlock all of his purple perks on every character without having to go through the bloodweb; it's just unlocked and ready to use.
@@MrCardz Aren't you still going through the blood web though? I mean you still have to prestige 3 times, which is going through the entirety of the web. The other system i could get to 40 and then go back to any character and get the perk.

Shrine of Secrets is useless now, in my opinion, unless the player in question cannot afford to buy licensed chapters. I would rather save up the Iridescent shards to buy cosmetics and new characters.

I barely have touched the game since a little before the Artist came out. And survivor and killer just felt dull and while the perk changes are cool, the meta is finally being crunched, trying to get an interest back into the game just feels impossible
I think it's a bit dumb there's nothing to lose from prestige. It's great they made more reasons to prestige but they removed the reasons to not prestige. Now there's literally no prestige. It's all just levels.

Correct, on the PTB patch notes you can see that there's a "breakpoint" from 319 perks to 320 perks where you get an extra prestige level. So you actually need to have ALL perks INCLUDING Hadie's or Dredge's unlocked on your character in order for them to be P12 when the patch releases. P11 means you didn't unlock the new characters' perks. One single perk tier not unlocked can cost you a whole prestige level.

@@Maverick19789 yes, if you check Otz's VoD you can see that he has Cheryl (survivor) already @ P12. Killers are capped @ P11 because there are not enough perks to get to 320 on killer, so the max. bonus prestige levels via perks is 5, for a total of 11 (3 base + 3 bonus for P3 + 5 for the perks). Survivors can get to P12 because they can get 321 perk tiers in total. I was mistaken about killer side, even if you get all Dredge's perks you can't P12 when the patch arrives.
The old system gave many addons at level 50. Now you will always need to complete the first 30 useless levels. I want have to return the permanent 50 prestige for those who have made 11 prestige.
I want to say I like the new prestige system , cause I do, the keeping of everything with extra prestige levels is great, the downfall is the rewards for the grind . Its way below the great possibilities they had to make it worth grinding. Great video Dowsey

@@carrot6525 that will be P6 reward, from P1 to P3 you get the perks then from P4 to P6 current skins and then lastly from P7 to P9 charms. Then you can go to P100 but it doesn't unlock anything special.
@@Sleigher19 well from what I can tell it's probably more based on how much bp you've spent as I can't understand how 2 pages of perks on my p3 killers can get 4 or 5 prestige levels and my non prestige 5-6 pages of perks get 2 levels.
Started playing in 2018 and I really love this update. However, I do find it stupid you have to level up 3 times to get one piece of bloody clothing, and then doing it all over again to crest 9. But overall, AMAZING!
tbh i didn't think the game would get any worse after they made sbmm reward immersive no skill game play but i'm pretty sure with the next patch that nerfs all the established perks people like instead of buffing the bad perks nobody likes will be when i uninstall. i can't even enjoy dbd as a casual game anymore because the devs are more concerned about releasing lgbq charms than actually improving their game
My favorite take is that they are supposedly working on some kind of DbD dating simulator, you know instead of fixing their game or at least adding some new game modes. Who even asked for a dating simulator for this game?
I'm confused about the teachables still. I have most of my characters at level 40 to unlock the perks on each character's bloodweb. If I prestige them does that mean I then get them unlocked as base perks for every character? If so then I should grind everyone up to 50, so I can get them prestiged immediately once the update goes live.
Basically how it works is say that you have Claudette at level 50 that has never been prestiged. If you then prestige that Claudette then the level 1 version of her 3 teachable perks will show up immediately on every other survivor that you have. These tier 1 perks that were unlocked on everyone can be upgraded before prestigeing Claudette a 2nd time and you still unlock the teachables normally for every other survivor at level 30, 35, and 40. The 2me time you prestige a character you get the 2nd tier on everyone and the same thing happens the 3rd time but with the tier 3 version. The 4th, 5th, and 6th time unlock the prestige outfit for the characters. So basically yes you should very much grind everyone up to level 50. I hope this helps
I don't think this new progression system makes it easier to get all the perks. It seems you have to spend longer time to me because after prestige, you get only 1 perk on each bloodweb, which you can't choose.
@@yws8800 pretty much. For me, this update makes the grind far better for killer because I play every killer but makes it worse for survivor because I only play one survivor
I think there seems to be confusion here... from my understanding you can still get t2 and t3 perks on individual characters thru their bloodweb progression. You just need to first unlock them at t1 from the original character. So nothing changes for those who only care to play on 1 or main chars. However... this makes is much easier if you just want to get all perks at t3 on all char being letting you p3 on one char vs all of them having to level bloodweb over and over at level 50.
@@silentguardian8349 It still takes a lot to P3 a character to get a certain perk to t3. If you want different perks from different characters, you have to either p3 different characters, or just p1 those characters and keep leveling your main characters until you get all the perks you want. In either case, it still takes a lot. This new system will be fast after you have at least P3 the characters you want the perks. that's it.
Thats what I was thinking I've been playing on xbox and it shows that exact thing I purchased Franklin's and huanted grounds and it only deducted 1,500 both times.
i still dont understand at all how this is cutting down the grind. wouldnt it take longer to prestige a character 3 times regardless of your inventory resetting?
You no longer have to rely on luck for a certain perk to appear in your blood web. Let's say you want to use iron maiden on huntress. So you level up legion until you unlock iron maiden, but then you have to get through the blood web on huntress multiple times until eventually iron maiden appears (could take ages). Now you only have to do the grind once, basically hitting prestige on legion multiple times, and iron maiden would be unlocked on all killers without having to rely on luck with every single killer.
If you'd rather not prestige a character three times, after you get the tier ones on everyone from the first prestige, you will still be able to find the tier 2 and 3 thorugh the bloodweb of the characters that have the tier 1.
it should be 1500 for every perk level imo level 1 = 1500 level 2 = 1500 level 3 =1500 Considering you have to buy it 3 times over so you'd get level 1 for 1500 and then spend ANOTHER 1500 for level 2 and so on so in total Level 1 = 1500 Level 1 + Level 2 = 3000 Level 1 + Level 2 + Level 3 = 4500 if it's really 1500 + 3000 + 6000 for all the levels that is absurd...10500 for ONE perk being level 3? I might as well buy a damn character at that point jesus...

the gold shine for p3s seems to be a character select portait thing only so no one will see that aside from you i hope they at least show the prestige level with a cool banner or symbol like with the p3 skull things that everyone can see now

tbh this is good, I wouldn't want to automatically be prestige 90 or something, capping it at 12 gives a sense of progression and purpose to dbd veterans and long time players who have nothing to do.

No- prestige 12 is the theoretical max bloodweb where you get any new perks. You can endlessly prestige- I mean in the thumbnail, it goes up to 100, but all you’ll be getting is items, addons, and offerings for hat character

What happens to my teachable perks I bought from shrine of secrets prior the update? Do I get tier 3 version of that or only tier 1? (btw, if I only get tier 1 that would suck)
I grinded the past 2 weeks to get most of killers and most survivors to lvl 40 so I can get their teachables lvl 3, or so I thought. I went into PTB today and expected all of those characters to now be at P3 since their p3 perks should be teachable(given that old P1 and new P4 should give bloody clothes, so it made sense that all of them should be new P3). What I currently see is none of the characters or killers are Prestiged, so it seems like I will still have to prestige each one three times to get it, seems kinda dumb to be honest.
if i made perks teachable before the update so other characters could learn it but they havent been unlocked in the bloodweb like devour hope, do i now need to perstige hag 3 times to be able to use devour on other killers?
someone needs to work out whats the minimum amount of perks you need for your character to be level 3 after the change. will save ALOT of time. if his p3 now turns to prestige 11, then prestige 1/2 will go to 3 easily
i heard a friend mention that if you have a character on prestige 1 you will get 2 bonus prestige levels with the update that would mean every p1 character would automaticly go to p3 after the update and you get all perks on every character at tier 3 but i obviously cant confirm that :D
How does it work with perks pruchased in the shrine of secrets before the update? After the update, can I still use them as before or will I need to buy and prestige every different character/killer?

I'm kinda annoyed about the prestige 3 thing, I really want to get that shimmer on my claudette, I could easily since I already got her to prestuge 2, but at the same time especially during this event I invested so much time into getting loads of cakes for her and got a bunch of items and things it doesnt seem worth it. I hope theres a way to get it after the update but I know they probably won't be. I wont be able to forget about it either because I have p3 myers and I'll see that whenever I open killer and itll bug me.

I feel it, I never leveled up my Claudette which is my main and i have a massive amount of items from all the events that I don't want to lose, yeah I get a gold banner but that's not gonna be worth it if I lose a massive amount of hours of items I have farmed.
I invested 10s of millions of bp on nea and still decided to p3 her from level 50 just cause I was able to do it because of the amount of bp I got cause of the event just to get whatever the p3 thing was just for it to be a shimmer not like it was hard to p3 her but still that's it?
Well my main goal before this releases to get my licensed characters to p3. Just because I want to set an achievement for me to achieve before it releases. I still have a lot to do so I guess I'll go back to the game now.
I know this might be a stupid comment, but I'm confused about something. If I for example get the level 1 perk from the shrine, am I given the option to buy it 3 times in that one shrine, or do I have to wait untill the perk appears again to get another level? And if I can only get the level 1 perk at one time, can I still level it up on each survivor in the bloodweb like it is right now?
Yeah, bhvr said you can pay for all 3 tiers of the perk from the same shrine. My guess is it appears yellow, tier 1 then when you buy it it changes to tier 2 and then tier 3. Or you can buy it once from the shrine as a tier 1 and upgrade it manually through the bloodweb getting T2 and 3 from there
prestige characters after patch but as others have said, farm the iridescent and purple items and add-ons for characters now, before patch, staying at level 50 and not prestiging your characters is going away
If I’ve put like 25 million bloodpoints on a p3 50 killer, would that give the killer multiple additional prestige levels? I’m not sure whether to save bloodpoints or just keep levelling up the bloodweb. (This update is really confusing so I’m sorry if this is a stupid question)
Here is my question, say I have a killer AT level 50 and keep pumping blood points into him without prestigeing him will I still get more progress when this new system goes live? Or should I just try to get more killers/survivers to level 50.
Very cool. I noticed you did not unlock anything for prestige survivor to 1. Plus I agreed bloodshard to BP is so off. They can add the perk lvls system and leave everything else alone. BTW why does bloodweb cost start at 3000 bp per space and not something like 100 bp per space and increase cost to 3000 as you get higher in lvl. Since they removing BP gains from perks like bbqnchili i wonder if gaining BP will be issue long run

Spending shards for bp is obsolete now since any new surv or killer that gets released js going to have every perk, you only need bp to increase prestige so by removing the bp cheese from the shop the prestige will be more representative of actual prestige and not a gimmick lvl Plus, 15k for one T3 perk now means you have to go out of your way to not progress a character if youre only interested in 1 perk like lauries ds or zarinas off the record for next patch. Hopefully this means we’ll see more diversity in surv character picks too Edit: so I dont think they need to change the shrine at all
Wait I'm a bit confused. If I'm level 50 on all characters and not prestige to I go to prestige 11 on the new update? Or do I get level 3 prestige? Also, if I just prestige before the update does this mean I get all the level 3 perk and cosmetics with no add-on since I technically prestige before the update. Please help. :(
If you have a character in lvl 50 without prestige (prestige 0) when the update comes you’ll be on prestige 3, because for each prestige in the old system you’ll gain a piece of his clothing, on the new system you get clothings from prestige 4-6, so you would be prestige 3 and yes, if you prestige now you won’t have your stuff when you transition to the new system.

Its a little nerf for getting event items and offerings. Getting a killer from level 1 to level 50 costs about 1,3m BP and gets you approx 60 cake offerings. Having the bloodweb for a killer at 50 and continue skilling it will get you 3 cakes and with luck another from a box. This gives you approx 60 cakes for 1m BP.
Has anyone else had their survivor blood web levels reset during the ptb? In preparation for the update I leveled up 5 survivor's to level 50 and they all got reset to level 5 and 40?
You'd still find their upgrades through bloodweb. Upgrading them through the shrine just makes it so that you get the perk in its respective tier on all characters, but you can still just do it individually through the web of each survivor/killer once you purchase the first tier
Be careful dowsey, there's reports of people losing progress on live due to the ptb, you might lose your twitch shirt

The shrine change seems more like a ploy to make people just buy characters instead. They should at least increase the amount of shards you get if they are going to change the shrine like that. Make it proportionate.

Shrine change, at least the 15k cost, seems to be a bug. You can look up "shrine of secrets nerf" and find a vid by dstrike showing the ones he already had at tier 3 costing 15k to get bloodpoints, but the one he didnt once he got to tier 3 only cost 4.5k to get the bp.
@@KazumiKiguma While that is significantly less than the 15k, 4.5k is still an increase in shards. That’s still a 125% increase with no increase on shards. Shards are already so few and far it just seems like they should also increase how many shards you get. But like someone else said it might change because it is the PTB so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Really hope that shrine is changed. 15k shards is a ridiculous amount to pay for a teachable perks, like you could literally spend 9k shards for the character (unless it's licensed). So the question what's a better trade, 9k shards and maybe 5 million bps for p3 character to get their 3 perks, or 45k shards...... Like it's not even close

It's 2k for tier 1, 4k for tier 2, 6k for tier 3. So it's 12k shards for one teachable perk tier 3. 36k for all three perks tier 3.
And yes, it's not even close. Either you buy tier 1 perk and get it immediately for all characters to level it through blood web or buy dlc and prestige. I don't know if someone would want to buy tiers 2 and 3. Maybe that's the point.
when you buy a perk in the shrine, it will automatically unlock the perk to every character at tier 1, there are 3 tiers in the shrine, tier 1 is 2.000, tier 2 is 4.000 and tier 3 is 6.000

I mean I see nothing wrong with the shrine. It essentially works the same as before for in terms of getting perks, (in fact it's better since every character auto gets them after purchasing them). Also buying them now for BP isn't necessary anymore, because you never lose anything for prestiging and you will have to buy less perks overall in the bloodweb. Plus if you were spending 2k shards (which takes like 5 hours) for roughly 3-5 games worth of BP that you get when running BBQ or WGLF. Then it probably wasn't worth it considering you can now just get the free killers that now also come with all your tier 3 perks.
Should've made it where any prestige you do after the update restricts you from receiving a bloody cosmetics. Sorta like legacy skins. It'd represent a time we had

One thing I like is being able to show your love for a character or main by having a pretty high prestige level on them. I just wish there were more rewards or at the very least that the charms were prettier.

@@marcomoreno900 if you go back to the character select screen at say 5.06 you can see that all characters that are prestiged have this kinda ugly yellow/gold colour on they pictures while say ashley williams who isnt prestiged doesnt have that colour to the portrait

Like in the original, getting to level 30, 35, and 40 will unlock the character's perks in everyone else's *bloodwebs.* However, prestiging the character unlocks the character's perks in everyone else's *inventory,* and you don't have to go through the bloodweb to get them. For example, if you really like bbq and chilli, you can prestige bubba 3 times and unlock all of his purple perks on every character without having to go through the bloodweb; it's just unlocked and ready to use.

Shrine of Secrets is useless now, in my opinion, unless the player in question cannot afford to buy licensed chapters. I would rather save up the Iridescent shards to buy cosmetics and new characters.

I barely have touched the game since a little before the Artist came out. I think it's a bit dumb there's nothing to lose from prestige. It's great they made more reasons to prestige but they removed the reasons to not prestige.

If you have every perk on every killer/survivor you’re have prestige 12 - Otz has Sadako at P12 but everyone else P11!
Correct, on the PTB patch notes you can see that there's a "breakpoint" from 319 perks to 320 perks where you get an extra prestige level. So you actually need to have ALL perks INCLUDING Hadie's or Dredge's unlocked on your character in order for them to be P12 when the patch releases. P11 means you didn't unlock the new characters' perks. One single perk tier not unlocked can cost you a whole prestige level.

@@Maverick19789 yes, if you check Otz's VoD you can see that he has Cheryl (survivor) already @ P12. Killers are capped @ P11 because there are not enough perks to get to 320 on killer, so the max. bonus prestige levels via perks is 5, for a total of 11 (3 base + 3 bonus for P3 + 5 for the perks). Survivors can get to P12 because they can get 321 perk tiers in total. I was mistaken about killer side, even if you get all Dredge's perks you can't P12 when the patch arrives.
The old system gave many addons at level 50. Now you will always need to complete the first 30 useless levels. I want have to return the permanent 50 prestige for those who have made 11 prestige.

@@carrot6525 that will be P6 reward, from P1 to P3 you get the perks then from P4 to P6 current skins and then lastly from P7 to P9 charms. Then you can go to P100 but it doesn't unlock anything special.

Started playing in 2018 and I really love this update. However, I do find it stupid you have to level up 3 times to get one piece of bloody clothing, and then doing it all over again to crest 9. But overall, AMAZING!
All we get for p3 before the update is the icon being shiny???? Suddenly I'm less incentivised to bother now

tbh i didn't think the game would get any worse after they made sbmm reward immersive no skill game play but i'm pretty sure with the next patch that nerfs all the established perks people like instead of buffing the bad perks nobody likes will be when i uninstall. i can't even enjoy dbd as a casual game anymore because the devs are more concerned about releasing lgbq charms than actually improving their game
My favorite take is that they are supposedly working on some kind of DbD dating simulator, you know instead of fixing their game or at least adding some new game modes.

I'm confused about the teachables still. I have most of my characters at level 40 to unlock the perks on each character's bloodweb. If I prestige them does that mean I then get them unlocked as base perks for every character? If so then I should grind everyone up to 50, so I can get them prestiged immediately once the update goes live.
Basically how it works is say that you have Claudette at level 50 that has never been prestiged. If you then prestige that Claudette then the level 1 version of her 3 teachable perks will show up immediately on every other survivor that you have. These tier 1 perks that were unlocked on everyone can be upgraded before prestigeing Claudette a 2nd time and you still unlock the teachables normally for every other survivor at level 30, 35, and 40. The 2me time you prestige a character you get the 2nd tier on everyone and the same thing happens the 3rd time but with the tier 3 version. The 4th, 5th, and 6th time unlock the prestige outfit for the characters. So basically yes you should very much grind everyone up to level 50. I hope this helps
I don't think this new progression system makes it easier to get all the perks. It seems you have to spend longer time to me because after prestige, you get only 1 perk on each bloodweb, which you can't choose.
ikr, this doesn't look like the 75% grind decrease as advertised, looks more like a grind increase
It definitely does help if you want all perks unlocked on everybody, but if you only care about your main I don't think there's much of a change.

I think there seems to be confusion here... from my understanding you can still get t2 and t3 perks on individual characters thru their bloodweb progression. You just need to first unlock them at t1 from the original character. So nothing changes for those who only care to play on 1 or main chars. However... this makes is much easier if you just want to get all perks at t3 on all char being letting you p3 on one char vs all of them having to level bloodweb over and over at level 50.
@@silentguardian8349 It still takes a lot to P3 a character to get a certain perk to t3. If you want different perks from different characters, you have to either p3 different characters, or just p1 those characters and keep leveling your main characters until you get all the perks you want. In either case, it still takes a lot.
This new system will be fast after you have at least P3 the characters you want the perks. that's it.

You no longer have to rely on luck for a certain perk to appear in your blood web. Let's say you want to use iron maiden on huntress. So you level up legion until you unlock iron maiden, but then you have to get through the blood web on huntress multiple times until eventually iron maiden appears (could take ages). Now you only have to do the grind once, basically hitting prestige on legion multiple times, and iron maiden would be unlocked on all killers without having to rely on luck with every single killer.
If you'd rather not prestige a character three times, after you get the tier ones on everyone from the first prestige, you will still be able to find the tier 2 and 3 thorugh the bloodweb of the characters that have the tier 1.

Considering you have to buy it 3 times over so you'd get level 1 for 1500 and then spend ANOTHER 1500 for level 2 and so on so in total
Level 1 = 1500
Level 1 + Level 2 = 3000
Level 1 + Level 2 + Level 3 = 4500
if it's really 1500 + 3000 + 6000 for all the levels that is absurd...10500 for ONE perk being level 3? I might as well buy a damn character at that point jesus...

They stay level 3 on the character you have them on at the moment and I think they would also be unlocked on everyone automatically

the gold shine for p3s seems to be a character select portait thing only so no one will see that aside from you i hope they at least show the prestige level with a cool banner or symbol like with the p3 skull things that everyone can see now
after the update I lost some of my perks, and most add ons and offerings on most of my killers. the perks I lost weren't teachable ones though.

They also said something about getting exclusive prestige shadows/plates based on if you got prestige 3 or not
tbh this is good, I wouldn't want to automatically be prestige 90 or something, capping it at 12 gives a sense of progression and purpose to dbd veterans and long time players who have nothing to do.

No- prestige 12 is the theoretical max bloodweb where you get any new perks. You can endlessly prestige- I mean in the thumbnail, it goes up to 100, but all you’ll be getting is items, addons, and offerings for hat character

That shard price needs to change. way too grindy if dont want to buy a specific character. Even if it is the final tier it is still brutal.

I grinded the past 2 weeks to get most of killers and most survivors to lvl 40 so I can get their teachables lvl 3, or so I thought.
I went into PTB today and expected all of those characters to now be at P3 since their p3 perks should be teachable(given that old P1 and new P4 should give bloody clothes, so it made sense that all of them should be new P3).
What I currently see is none of the characters or killers are Prestiged, so it seems like I will still have to prestige each one three times to get it, seems kinda dumb to be honest.

someone needs to work out whats the minimum amount of perks you need for your character to be level 3 after the change. will save ALOT of time. if his p3 now turns to prestige 11, then prestige 1/2 will go to 3 easily
i heard a friend mention that if you have a character on prestige 1 you will get 2 bonus prestige levels with the update
that would mean every p1 character would automaticly go to p3 after the update and you get all perks on every character at tier 3

I'm kinda annoyed about the prestige 3 thing, I really want to get that shimmer on my claudette, I could easily since I already got her to prestuge 2, but at the same time especially during this event I invested so much time into getting loads of cakes for her and got a bunch of items and things it doesnt seem worth it. I hope theres a way to get it after the update but I know they probably won't be. I wont be able to forget about it either because I have p3 myers and I'll see that whenever I open killer and itll bug me.

You can turn the special P3 effect off in the settings. There was a popup that said something like that
I feel it, I never leveled up my Claudette which is my main and i have a massive amount of items from all the events that I don't want to lose, yeah I get a gold banner but that's not gonna be worth it if I lose a massive amount of hours of items I have farmed.
I invested 10s of millions of bp on nea and still decided to p3 her from level 50 just cause I was able to do it because of the amount of bp I got cause of the event just to get whatever the p3 thing was just for it to be a shimmer not like it was hard to p3 her but still that's it?
Well my main goal before this releases to get my licensed characters to p3. Just because I want to set an achievement for me to achieve before it releases. I still have a lot to do so I guess I'll go back to the game now.

If I for example get the level 1 perk from the shrine, am I given the option to buy it 3 times in that one shrine, or do I have to wait untill the perk appears again to get another level? And if I can only get the level 1 perk at one time, can I still level it up on each survivor in the bloodweb like it is right now?
Yeah, bhvr said you can pay for all 3 tiers of the perk from the same shrine. My guess is it appears yellow, tier 1 then when you buy it it changes to tier 2 and then tier 3. Or you can buy it once from the shrine as a tier 1 and upgrade it manually through the bloodweb getting T2 and 3 from there
I guess we can pretend yellow is orange and everyone can keep leveling up their tier 1 perk through bp instead of using shrine again.

I would hope they increase the amount of shards you get from levelling up, but even then wouldn’t long time players get the brown part of the stick?

So now you have to grind through loads and loads of small shitty bloodwebs, youre even forced to do it. Even at prestige 9+

If I’ve put like 25 million bloodpoints on a p3 50 killer, would that give the killer multiple additional prestige levels? I’m not sure whether to save bloodpoints or just keep levelling up the bloodweb. (This update is really confusing so I’m sorry if this is a stupid question)
Here is my question, say I have a killer AT level 50 and keep pumping blood points into him without prestigeing him will I still get more progress when this new system goes live? Or should I just try to get more killers/survivers to level 50.

Very cool. I noticed you did not unlock anything for prestige survivor to 1. Plus I agreed bloodshard to BP is so off. They can add the perk lvls system and leave everything else alone. BTW why does bloodweb cost start at 3000 bp per space and not something like 100 bp per space and increase cost to 3000 as you get higher in lvl. Since they removing BP gains from perks like bbqnchili i wonder if gaining BP will be issue long run

I thought you were supposed to get rewards on nonP people so long as you have a bunch of T3 perks on them?
found out it was bugged on ptb, nice to know that I have 213 perks (they include levels) so Ill be P3 on some characters.

Spending shards for bp is obsolete now since any new surv or killer that gets released js going to have every perk, you only need bp to increase prestige so by removing the bp cheese from the shop the prestige will be more representative of actual prestige and not a gimmick lvl
Plus, 15k for one T3 perk now means you have to go out of your way to not progress a character if youre only interested in 1 perk like lauries ds or zarinas off the record for next patch. Hopefully this means we’ll see more diversity in surv character picks too

Wait I'm a bit confused. If I'm level 50 on all characters and not prestige to I go to prestige 11 on the new update? Or do I get level 3 prestige?
Also, if I just prestige before the update does this mean I get all the level 3 perk and cosmetics with no add-on since I technically prestige before the update.

If you have a character in lvl 50 without prestige (prestige 0) when the update comes you’ll be on prestige 3, because for each prestige in the old system you’ll gain a piece of his clothing, on the new system you get clothings from prestige 4-6, so you would be prestige 3 and yes, if you prestige now you won’t have your stuff when you transition to the new system.

Small thing you missed, it cost 50k to prestige now. Not the most expensive thing but overtime to get p11 it’ll cost 550k bps

I feel like they should give prestige cosmetics WITH the perk tiers, I don't think that's too much to ask for
They said there wouldn't be a max prestige, and in the image they showed a prestige 100 symbol, so I don't think a prestige cap is accurate.
Its a little nerf for getting event items and offerings. Getting a killer from level 1 to level 50 costs about 1,3m BP and gets you approx 60 cake offerings. Having the bloodweb for a killer at 50 and continue skilling it will get you 3 cakes and with luck another from a box. This gives you approx 60 cakes for 1m BP.
Has anyone else had their survivor blood web levels reset during the ptb? In preparation for the update I leveled up 5 survivor's to level 50 and they all got reset to level 5 and 40?
the snapshot of live data they pulled for the PTB is old. for example I was level 51 devotion 4 on PTB just now, but on live I’m level 72 devotion 4.
how will we upgrade perks that we got from the shrine without being able to prestige the character since i dont have them
You'd still find their upgrades through bloodweb. Upgrading them through the shrine just makes it so that you get the perk in its respective tier on all characters, but you can still just do it individually through the web of each survivor/killer once you purchase the first tier
What happens if u never prestige a survivor but keep updating their blood web and have all perks unlocked, do I lose everything?
I got the level 1 perk of all the characters I had to level 40 previously
I somehow don't really see the reduced grind, idk i expected more to actually reduce the time that you need to spend just to really play the game..
