Just bought one of these to take away on our travels (not in a van but tenting and cabins). Great little machine! I found a wee toast rack in my cupboards that will hold hash browns and fish portions on their sides. Have cooked salmon, frozen fish portions, scones, spuds and homemade fries. Will be very handy when we don't have use of an oven.
I've been waiting for someone to review this air fryer, as I've had my eye on it for some time. Thanks so much for the review. It's exactly what I wanted to know.
We're travelling around Australia in a 4wd and so far it's cooked: steak, chicken, pork, fish, boiled eggs, eggs on toast, bacon, scones, mini sponge cakes, bread rolls, bread, puff pastry for a deconstructed meat pie, quiches, toast, mini pizza, salami and chorizio slices and it reheats a treat ...chips , pizza, sausage rolls and pies.
Thats really awesome and its great to hear its getting a lot of use . Happy travels and travel safe . Really appreciate your comment and thanks for watching 👍🍻
I’ve had one in my van for a month and it’s brilliant! Uses very little power from my 200 amp battery and 2000 watt inverter. Check out the anko $15 rice cooker (200 watt) Mate I love a sausage roll in the mini air fryer.
Cheers mate. The small size and power draw is awesome. Yep and done a sausage in it and it’s awesome. Yep seen the rice cookers .you can’t complain for $15 👍 thanks for your comment and appreciate you watching. Happy and safe vanning 👍🍻
I checked this online at kmart - very nice! I think I will go for the larger 25L Air Fryer and Oven at $139. I have plenty of power and can easily support the 1800w this uses. Tanks for planting the idea Dino!
@@EFFICIENTSELF That is hitting the nail on the head Dino. For example, with 800W AF, if you cook for 20 minutes, you need to replace 267Wh from your battery, with 20 minutes in a 1800W AF you need to replace 600 Wh from the battery. A lot of simplifications here, but it does illustrate the point "sufficient means of charging" !
Great review mate. The Healthy Choice 3L air fryer is also $39 and would be almost twice the size. It has those pesky rubber feet too and I lost two down the drain and ended up buying a dozen of them on e-bay. I can see the practicality in the anko unit and fully agree with you on its merits. Ten nuggs in 12 minutes is gold. A frozen meat pie usually takes around 20 - 30 minutes depending on its density. I thought I might get one for the work kitchen, but then thought....Nah! The grubs there will ruin it in no time flat. Still a great addition to the c-van, camper or towy. I'll have to get me one of those power supplies you have. Cheers 👍😀🇦🇺
Cheers mate The Healthy Choice 3L air fryer at the same price is definitely tempting if you need more capacity, but yeah, those rubber feet can be a real hassle. As for the work kitchen .yeah, I get it. Sometimes it’s better to keep your gear away from communal use if you want it to last. But for the caravan, camper, or even a tow rig, it’s a great, compact addition. The powerstations are handy to have . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Bought a slightly larger one from anko. Very pleased with it as I earlier had a PHILLIPS much more expensive and it did not work as well as the Kmart version.
The air fryers from kmart work well and great bang for buck . I have a slightly larger version of the anko air fryer and they are excellent. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Great review mate! Just got one for my birthday, quite excited to try it out, be great as I live alone and dont have an oven! Chicken nuggets here i come! 😂
Ive got a 600/1200w gandal inverter in the prado. This airfryer would be great when i go solo camping & sleep in the swag. I might get one & see if it can run it. Cheers
I have this inverter and will only run 600 watts continuously only will surge to 1200 watts for only a short time like few seconds. You will need minimum of 1000/2000 watts inverter to run this air fryer . Hope this helps and hope all is well. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
You beauty Dino, I'm off to Target tomorrow, thanks buddy, take care, stay safe my friend. Seeya Rob................also, does the outside of the machine get too hot to touch the sides.

Hi mate, do you need to remove the 3 little black rubbery sleeves from the rack? Not sure if they are plastic or silicone. Thanks
No im sure they prevent the rack scratching the bottom of the tray. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Cheers deno

G’day newy seems to be a steel element mate as I just checked. Hope all has been well 👍🍻
You can get square air-fryers, and probably should aim for that shape when battling for room.
