My sister recommended the toastie maker she bought from a store for over $50 but I couldn’t justify spending that much for a toasted sandwich. Then, to my surprise, there was this one from Kmart for $15 so I just had to buy one!! I used day old bread rolls in it and it worked well. I also have the same microwave which I bought 5 years ago - best $40 ever - and it is still going strong. Thank you Kmart!!
Hey mate, I just bought one early August, from Kmart. Absolutely brilliant 👍😀. Great for home use or at work where time and space is limited. I have a 800w flatbed microwave and the job is done in 3 minutes without turning. Just remember to put the footing side down first or it won't toast evenly. I paid only $5 delivered for mine after applying 2000 flybuys points = $10 and free OnePass membership delivery. Laughing 😂 Cheers for the demo 👍😀🇦🇺
I bought a Mico Toastie for $50 a year ago. The Toastie from Kmart is so very similar that I would buy it if a replacement was needed. Favourite feed is cheese and pepperoni with t-sauce. Thanks for the review!
Yes pretty much mate . It’s probably all made in the same place but just everything is branded with each brand name . Thanks for watching and hope all has been well 👍🍻

I have the Kmart one. It’s great. I discovered if I put it in for 30 seconds to warm it first, then cook the toastie, the 2 mins 30 second at 1000w works well.
Try using the mayo in lieu of butter or margarine for the outside. It works. Thanks for the review. I think these are pretty good. Might finally have to retire the Breville snack maker, after 40+ years. It’s a pain to clean.
Great comparison video. Makes you wonder how much profit they make on the original one. Hey mate have a look at the anko mini rice cooker. Only used 200 watts. $15 as well and they work great on my 200 amp system.
while the saying "you get what you pay for" They say , higher cost equates to better quality, it's not always true. Brand reputation, marketing, and supply chains can influence prices, sometimes leading to overpriced products that don’t deliver corresponding value. Conversely, some affordable items can be of excellent quality due to efficient production processes or lower profit margins. I will check out the rice cooker thanks for the tip and thanks for watching 👍🍻
Possibly you could but probably you could just put your toastie in the air fryer as they circulate the hot air around the food probably best just to use the air fryer . Thanks for the comment as you just give me idea on a video to do a comparison . Thanks for watching mate 👍🍻
These would sell like hotcakes for sure they are awesome. If you buy online and if you spend over $65 you will get free delivery otherwise I think there is $10 charge for delivery if you purchase on its own. If you had a microwave safe plate you should have used that to put the maker to save your fingers! 😢 You were completely ripped off on the eBay one though. They're all made mostly the same other than the earlier cheapo version that had exposed aluminium alloy grill plates with only blue or red silicone handles (VERY dangerous)😮

@EFFICIENTSELF I know, I have 4 of the Kmart ones myself! And I know the history of Wesfarmers owning both Kmart & Target too, they purchased both of them & Coles from Coles Myer in 2007. Their ANKO brand is a reworked version of their previous '& Co' store brand too! I'm generally the one telling others that one company owns them both not Kmart owning Target like most people assume. Coles was spun off in 2018 as it's own company but we actually wouldn't have Kmart in Australia at all if the original version of Coles ( GJ Coles & Coy) didn't make a joint venture with US Kresge (Kmart) in 1969! 😁 If I had the money I'd have bought the original orange Morphy Richards MICO one from the UK that's existed 2019 but that one wss about $100 on its first release, now its as low as $46. That's the actual original version, all others are the copycats! This aluminium alloy cooking plate technology has actually existed for over 70 years now but at one point microwave cooking was falsely considered to be unhealthy & unsafe as people believed they got radiation from them but that's been proven false so many times now. Back in microwaves early days there were a heap of cooking books released too! At least you didn't get the other cheaply made ones with exposed plates! 😁
This guy obviously hasn’t got the heads up on how toxic vegetable oil is. Oh, and by the way if ppl can’t see the conglomerate monopolisation going on in Kmart, it’s virtually one brand name in the whole store now. This is happening everywhere but not as blatant using the same brand name for everything. You can usually see it on the small print on the back of food items for example where the head company has 20 other brand names but has the same company name listed
