Has a manual interface with just two dials instead of a digital one, so there are no fancy presets or things like that. It has 1500 W of power and goes from 160 to 400° and holds 4.5 quarts.

The concern about flame retardants in electrical cords, including those in appliances like air fryers, stems from the use of substances such as brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and organophosphate flame retardants (OPFRs), which may contain heavy metals or release harmful compounds. Possible Substances and Risks: 1. Lead and Heavy Metals in Components: • Some flame retardants used in electrical cords contain lead, cadmium, or other heavy metals, especially in older or poorly regulated products. Lead exposure can cause neurological damage, while cadmium can affect kidney function and bone health. 4. Antimony-based Flame Retardants: • Antimony trioxide is often combined with brominated flame retardants to increase effectiveness. It is classified as a potential carcinogen, and chronic exposure can lead to respiratory and gastrointestinal issues. If you suspect that a specific air fryer or electrical cord might pose a health risk, consider contacting the manufacturer to request safety information or certifications (like RoHS compliance, which limits heavy metals). Additionally, to minimize risk, look for appliances with third-party safety certifications like UL, ETL, or CE that adhere to stricter environmental and health standards.

Does anybody know if Italians have an increased incidence of Alzheimer’s in its population? Italians are amongst the healthiest and longest living people in Europe by the way, did you know that? Speaking of aluminum cooking wares, I don’t see Asian countries, where most of these aluminum pots and pans are made, using stainless steel instead. Aluminium is a serious health problem because it destroys the grey matter of your brain. Exposure to aluminium literally causes cavities in your brain. You should never let heated aluminium get into contact with food or drink.
I believe the aluminum link was debunked, Teflon though, can kill birds from the air fumes, and if a canary can survive a coal mine and not a Teflon pan heating up, you need a different pan. I bought an air fryer once. I couldn't tell you why it was bad, but my instinct told me something was off and it wasnt healthy. It vibes like a microwave and felt like it was making my food toxic, so I returned it. I'm sticking with baking and frying. Cast iron + fire is the best solution ive coming up with.
A slow cooker with a stoneware container should be in your future for insanely tender chuck roasts (or any type of roast). So damn easy and so good! Just a stoneware container and a glass lid. Nothing toxic in sight.
Slow cookers are my preferred way of cooking. For variation, frying in a stainless steel pan or cast iron skillet is a good option. Airfryers were made as a low-fat option to pan-frying, so, if you're not afraid of fat, you don't need an airfryer.

Hi loved this review! Didn’t know glass ones existed. Just to let you know , I have clicked on all three links Amazon to glassfryers and they all linked into standard fryers!!?? Strange , very strange.
I had a choice of ONE air fryer made of glass base, the Daewoo Air Fryer 5.50L ❤ & it is heavy glass on plastic, that does not burn from the heat! Oh & did not come with a rack to put my steak on 😢 I do lamb leg steak, ribeye with or without bone & use a temp sensor for thicker roasts to get rear to medium rare donnes 😊
Bit off topic but i use sio2 ceramic spray to detail my cars and every time i use it i feel like death the next day . Pitty it works so well on the car.
It took me 60 years to discover the Air fryer. Oh what a joy my normally sad attempts at cooking chicken have become. Now if only Mr.Spice will return with his awesome Garum Masala powder.
I have a Tower/Scoville air fryer that comes with two stainless steal racks, it also has a rotisserie attachment. I've use it consistently since i bought it a few months ago, and it is a lot easier to clean than the backet type air fryer i had before it. I got rid of the former, because the non stick started peeling and burnt on grease was impossible to remove. I also have a halogen whixh i use for bulk cooking. Stainless steal is much better and healthier for sure.
I've had a great funny time with you, as (I'm french) almost nobody cares if teflon or plastic or aluminium are harmful here (or so it seems to me), and I'm used to be the "bizarre" person. Thank you! I appreciate your sense of humor!
I gave up trying to find a basket style air fryer that didn't have the Teflon basket. I just got a COSORI 13-in-1 Ceramic Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo and hopefully it'll be good. And I can cook in the cast iron in it 🤷♀️. It also has a dehydrator function which will be nice for backpacking or traveling.
I was wondering the same. I just threw out all my Teflon plans for stainless Steele and cast iron. Was thing about air fryer, but not sure now if i really need or want one.
Thanks for the review. I'm like you, if it stinks I'm not buying it. The Salton might be OK. I would put it on the stove and turn the vent on to suck out the plastic fumes. Companies are trying to pull a fast one on unaware consumers by calling their toxic coatings ceramic. Lol! Do your research people.
Your funny!I have never had a air fryer before because of the toxic crap..I just found The Wonder oven that i think might work for us...We needed one that would air fry bake and make toast....This does all that...What impresses me about it is the inside looks to be all stainless steel instead of aluminum mixed in steel and the air fry basket is stainless steel. The pan tho ARE aluminum and coated with ceramic...Ceramic is safe as far as i know but dont like that there is aluminum under that..Will probably use glass and stainless steel sheet pan to cook in it..Get the Oven on the 4th....Its pricey and small but worth it if no toxins coming in contact with my food..Our gov is so messed up to allow these cooking devices with all the toxins in them.Hope that changes someday...Ur right most people could care less about all this...Blows my mind and all the people who wrap food in Aluminum foil to cook with??!Crazy! They think were the crazy ones..lol.
It is good that you are conscious of the dangers but details are important here. Aluminum is bad indeed but totally not a problem if it's coated in ceramic. The reason why they make the rest of aluminum is because of the heat conductivity and light weight and low cost.
Thank you. I’ve been trying to research this. Does anything leach out if the aluminum is coated in ceramic? 🤷♀️ I really don’t like the idea of a hot glass bowl sitting on plastic. Seems the fumes would be dangerous.
@@HobbesnCalvin124 if the ceramic layer has been scratched to such an extent that the aluminum becomes visible, then aluminum can leach out. If the food only touches the ceramic layer, how could aluminum leach out? It would have to cross the ceramic layer, impossible.

Its 2 disadvantages are the price tag of US $400 and it takes a lot of counter space. You get what you paid for. Thanks again.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Thank you for this; very helpful! I just found the glass Aria 5 quart and I hope it doesn’t have the same problem of sitting on plastic like this one. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
All pans including cast iron contains tin which will result in heavy metals in your food- even stainless steel. They are certainly safer than aluminum/teflon. Ultimately glass is the way to go.
Which is why I quit using my pressure cooker/air fryer a few weeks ago. I've only been using my cast iron dutch ovens/skillets with an induction cook top. I can practically cook all my steaks/bacon/pork chops etc just as fast or if not faster than any air fryer & same goes with the dutch oven.
The glass situation makes me a little nervous. Did you look into countertop convection ovens (or toaster ovens) which I believe are the same thing as an air fryer, except they have a door instead of a basket. Those things come in all-metal, I think. I am a loser instant-pot air fryer person and I was thinking getting another one, that’s how much I love it. But because of you, I will probably stick to just one or transition to a toast oven apparatus.
here's the thing, i agree with the no teflon and else but steel pan or iron skillet ftw. horses for courses.. maybe if you had 2 racks so it was closer to the heat element?
I found one on Amazon that is made by a company called Greenlife, They are very environmentally conscious, and they make their appliances without things like that. The tray and basket are ceramic. It does not say coated with ceramic, but just ceramic. It has two dials rather than a digital interface so it doesn’t have presets or anything fancy. But you can buy an optional three year Asurion warranty for only $6.99. The thing itself is $50.
Yeah that's the exact wall I kept hitting - even if its coated in ceramic its alluminium underneath.. so if you scrub it in the wash it will probably wear off and start circulating around.. only things I've managed to find are like glass or plain stainless steel tiny ovens. At this point, my concern is the smaller brands can they guarantee low electrical fire risks etc... tbh I think I will risk it and never leave it unattended
I always wind up going down these rabbit holes every time I think of purchasing certain things and wind up feeling like the stress caused by it could be more harmful than anything else 😂 The day nothing harmful is allowed to be sold will be a great day but then again I wonder would almost every product not be available if that was the case.
I love ya for air frying a grass fed steak. Corn and soy fed meat causes metabolic syndrome and worse over time. Not only because of what it does to goo up ones filters, the GMO part means it has traces of RoundUp/glyphosate in the final product. The top 5 farm bill commodities the USDA subsidizes to FOOD INC are all GMO/RoundUp Ready crops. Sugar (beet/cane), wheat, corn, rice and soybean make up 60% of the western diet.
For frying I use grass fed/finished beef fat (tallow). Insane how much food is cooked in seed oils.
@@reylove33 Isn't extra virgin olive oil safe ?
@@rainerrain9689 Not for cooking. Every oil except coconut oil becomes toxic when heated.
LOL, thanks, I appreciate this video. We need a clean air fryer. A company must go all in and make it! I promise I’ll buy it 😊
put a silicon mat between the glass and plastic
A slow cooker with a stoneware container should be in your future for insanely tender chuck roasts (or any type of roast). So damn easy and so good! Just a stoneware container and a glass lid. Nothing toxic in sight.
Slow cookers are my preferred way of cooking. For variation, frying in a stainless steel pan or cast iron skillet is a good option. Airfryers were made as a low-fat option to pan-frying, so, if you're not afraid of fat, you don't need an airfryer.
Some stoneware slow cookers have lead 😤
@@audioupgradesNot, afraid of fat. I just love how quick and easy they are. It’s so nice to throw in a piece of salmon and it’s done in a few minutes. I even do hard boiled eggs in mine!
Check out the Oster countertop ovens (the ones with Turbo and Air Fry buttons). They’re just straight stainless construction inside and out. No non-stick coatings or aluminum. I’m on my third one in 15 years and they are excellent in every aspect.
Cool! I'm looking into Cuisinart or GE Brand Stainless Steel Air Fryers.
Are Oster oven fryers reliable ?
Ninja just released the Ninja Crispi Glass basket with two size glass baskets, one for small stuff and other for large items. Also, come with refrigerator covers, so you can marinate your food prior and they claim this glass can go from fridge to room temperature without cracking.
When you took that first bite! It so reminded me of Kerry Mann. He does the same thing 😮
I had the exact same thought. To complete the picture, all he needed to do was raise his arms.😊 Kerry is awesome. Can't wait for the documentary!
You would make a good story narrator 👍
I'm back! I've got another question for you. If you're on the lookout for the perfect diet, why not adopt the dietary habits of individuals in the blue zones? These are regions where people consistently live to be over 100 years old.
Omg, where have you been? 😮
@@flumpaustin1994 😁
What do they eat ?
@@teekandy People in Blue Zones areas have a diet that is 95% plant-based. Fruits, vegetables, beans, tofu, lentils, nuts, and seeds are rich with disease-fighting nutrients and the cornerstone of their diets.

Getting the Yedi. Thank you for this video!
Yeah was gona say I dont think aluminium can leak through a layer of ceramic unless you damage it
Hi loved this review! Didn’t know glass ones existed. Just to let you know , I have clicked on all three links Amazon to glassfryers and they all linked into standard fryers!!?? Strange , very strange.
What... All I wanted was the perfect camera and I see this channel. Who knew!
Sorry about your frenchness 😢
@@wireycoyote3544I'm sorry 2 😁
I think Typhur might be the best. I replace the ceramic insert, with a stainless steel one.
thanks for the research and finding the glass air fryer
I gave up trying to find a basket style air fryer that didn't have the Teflon basket. I just got a COSORI 13-in-1 Ceramic Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo and hopefully it'll be good. And I can cook in the cast iron in it 🤷♀️. It also has a dehydrator function which will be nice for backpacking or traveling.
I was wondering the same. I just threw out all my Teflon plans for stainless Steele and cast iron. Was thing about air fryer, but not sure now if i really need or want one.
I don't generally comment on TH-cam videos but your style of narration is dope 😂
Are there stainless steel options safe? Sorry. There’s so much information out there it’s hard to get through…. Hoping for knowledge on this. 😊
I got the ninja foodi XL .... its huge and no teflon.. works great too I cook large amounts of food at a time
Thanks for the review.
My Big Boss is cumbersome, but I like the glass idea.
They think were the crazy ones..lol.
truth, should do more of these// try to find a coffee maker with a steel glass path..
@@netional5154 thanks!
If you’re trying to avoid eating aluminum look into the alarming amount of aluminum contained in sardines which you’ve been eating
Where does the aluminium come from? I buy my sardines in glas, not in aluminium cans.
Only use stainless steel now or cast iron
Thanks for the great video. I’ve been wanting to buy an air fryer, but like you, I’m hesitant based on the plastics. Love your commentary 🎉
Slightly open a window on the opening side of the appartment to help the fan blow.
That's why raw carnivore is the ultimate diet in every way although it is hard to sustain and takes a lot of willpower, but its the healthiest diet in the world.
Raw meat hurts my gut, or I'd be raw ;)
If you get the toaster oven style air fryer they are all stainless
I have a "Kalorik" brand air fryer with glass doors and stainless steel racks, and I love it. Steaks are fantastic; crispy on the outside, medium-rare on the inside. It's a beast to clean but then I think they all are...
Thank Vegetable Police for this Informative video about Salton Glass Air Fryer. If it's possible, could you please make a video review about Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro? Both the fryer and the basket are made of stainless steel. Reviewers on TH-cam praised it for having much less toxiticiy and making quality food. It also works as an oven and it's durable. Its 2 disadvantages are the price tag of US $400 and it takes a lot of counter space. You get what you paid for. Thanks again.
You know what else offgases?
Glad someone else noticed how toxic most air fryers are…
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Thank you for this; very helpful! I just found the glass Aria 5 quart and I hope it doesn’t have the same problem of sitting on plastic like this one. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Your the funnyest most honest guy on here thanks buddy.
How about the Cuisinart or GE Brand Stainless Steel Air Fryers? Are those any good? Anyone try those out?
What is wrong with cast iron pan and fire?
All pans including cast iron contains tin which will result in heavy metals in your food- even stainless steel. They are certainly safer than aluminum/teflon. Ultimately glass is the way to go.
@@theboraxbandit9563 sources for this?
@@paulojose7568 You don't want too much iron in your blood, it's not good.
Clean the blades on your fan and it will push/pull a ton more air..
All I want is the perfect air fryer.
Air fryer conspiracies.
Just wear your Q-link or two and you've got this, Casey!
idk if aluminium is actually that bad
iirc it only is bad if it interacts with citric acid (or other acids maybe)
You are better off with Iron, stainless steel or copper materials for sure.
I gave up too on finding g the Teflon free air fryer. I use the parchment paper ALWAYS ❤
look for Air Fryer ovens, i use Cuisinart TOA-70 when traveling.
At home I just grill my steaks on cast iron pan.
But because of you, I will probably stick to just one or transition to a toast oven apparatus.
yeah the ninja air fry oven has metal rack and metal-air fry basket (stainless I presume have not researched that)
Enjoyed the content and delivery. Cheers
here's the thing, i agree with the no teflon and else but steel pan or iron skillet ftw. horses for courses.. maybe if you had 2 racks so it was closer to the heat element?
The aluminum in jabs more easily passes the BBB before digested aluminum does.
There has to be a better alternative on the market now. Right?
I found one on Amazon that is made by a company called Greenlife, They are very environmentally conscious, and they make their appliances without things like that. The tray and basket are ceramic. It does not say coated with ceramic, but just ceramic. It has two dials rather than a digital interface so it doesn’t have presets or anything fancy. But you can buy an optional three year Asurion warranty for only $6.99. The thing itself is $50.
How about a toaster oven?
I have an unopened Big Boss and thanks to the Little Boss (you),I may never open it~
I use an Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid. It’s stainless steel.
I giggled at 3:42. I enjoyed this video.
Good review and funny, like your camera reviews.
I started limiting them two years ago when Wuhan Fauci disease was released. I friggin knew not to take the koolaid jab so I binged on nutritional lectures.
Is there an air fryer you like besides the Salton? Or an updated one?
those Ninja air fryers always smell like plastic fumes for a week when you first get them
mine didn't but itis the 5-1 grill one not an airfryer alone
@@TatiachaI have the same one and it never smelled.
Most apartments come with this thing called an "oven" that most people forget about, or millenials dont know what it does.
I don’t get the air fryer mania. It’s just a small oven. I fry my steaks in a frying pan. Does a perfect job.
It cooks way faster than an oven and uses way less electricity.
@@stargazerbirdI just use a small oven.
😂💀
Glass in the oven is the way to go! you can even grill a steak really hot this way without overcooking :)
I use the glas fryer at 3:25 and it's perfect imo.
The greatest benefit of that air fryer you have...you can do Timelapse on it. Works on both your channels.
I cook everything in cast iron.
Are the plates you are using non toxic? I have glass plates but even those I'm not certain are free of all the bad stuff
