  • The 2019 C43 AMG has a secret eco mode!
How much MPG does the 2019 C43 get?
In this video we test how much MPG the C43 gets in my 18 mile journey to work.
We are going to do two drives. One in a mixture of sport+ and comfort and the second in the custom built eco mode.
Then once the results are in we are going to work out exactly how much petrol I would spent per month based on which drive mode I used.
So sit back and find out how much MPG you can get in the 400bhp 2019 C43 AMG!

Great video. Looking to pick up a C43 but was concerned about mpg since I do a fair number of longer drives. But 25mpg with a combination of comfort and sport+ isn't too bad at all. Even 20mpg isn't terrible for hooning around. I figure on my motorway drives I'll get closer to 30mpg.

Got my C43 (Estate) in November 2022, 2019 build! Eco around town I manage about 20mpg, motorway run to work 27-28 over 30 miles or so with the odd hard acceleration! To be honest, if you get one of these cars your best bet is to assume your current fuel bill + another full tank or so. Getting around 300 miles per tank mixed driving. Came from an F40 M135i X-Drive for reference! I also got about 300 miles from that tank but to fill that up cost around £70, compared to the C43's £90+ with today's fuel prices.
All in all a great car though, and very thrilling!

What’s your view on my viewpoint? Great fuel mileage, but most likely in my opinion driving this car on eco-mode with the RPM at no more than 1500 RPM is probably going to cause a lot of carbon buildup issues on the valves as opposed to keeping the RPM at 2500 to 3000 RPM in city driving. Who knows if I am correct because it’s very hard to compare two different C43 cars driven differently in terms of RPM over a long-term period of 5 or 10 years. Unless there’s some kind of product you can use to eliminate carbon buildup that’s been proven to work.

It's all relative to how many miles your doing. I for example only have a 30 minute commute to work so if manage to maintain 25mpg then it would be easy to run the C43 on £170 a month. Petrol rates ain't cheap here in my area either. However if I use sport+ a lot then it does become more expensive. But ultimate it all comes down to how many miles your doing :)

I have the exact same car it’s not an AMG mate no where close to it BMW 340i kills this car off the line

Not sure I compared this one to the 340i in this video but il give my thoughts. I actually found the 340i to be much slower off the line than the c43 from my own experience, I think it's almost a second slower in timed 0-62. Unless you mean the new m340i? The new m340i is a great car, sits well along side the c43.

ABAUTO no you didn’t compare I was just saying that due you calling it “AMG” I drove the new 340i x drive it’s def faster however great content keep on going

It's not a true AMG in that this engine is not hand built. It still is proper for him to call it an AMG because that is the name of the trim of the car: AMG C43. I don't see a problem with that. The performance is still amazing.
As for the 340i, I drove it back to back with the C43 repeatedly to decide on my purchase and the 340i definitely is faster in a straight line WITH Xdrive. However, the dynamics of the 340i is horrible. Everything feels disconnected. I'm not 20 years old anymore and only care about raw power. I can always get a tune and mods for more power. The C43 is a better car overall by far!

It will get killed by c43 that now has more hp and torque than 340ib58
