+++ on the room treatment, (thorough) as those 8 inches in particular are slightly more sensitive on a room / placement, but once set right in proper environment, they really shine without being boomy or too harsh, providing quite clear picture of what is going on in the mix, clear mids, tight low end, crisp hi end, as well as having pretty decent translation for the most part. As said - monitors perform as good as the room they are in. HS8 keeps its own well above most of the competition in this price rank imo. The known modding options also seem to provide excellent sounding extension, expanding the HS8's potential, for resonable money, and if done properly - with excellent results pushing the monitor into the new realm of fidelity / clarity - at least in the words of those, who went down that road . Enjoy these !!!!
Absolutely!! I wanted to unpack some of what you said in the video but it was like 20 minutes long and I didn’t want a very long video. I should’ve gone more into about room treatment so I will keep that in mind the next video.

@@romarianmusic You made a good choice, if interested about the modded versions, those are available on Zen Pro Audio, but given the fact you already have your HS8, this won´t be really helpful. In anyway - there is some relevant info flying around about the diy mods, and how to proceed with these. All the best !
