    I see why a lot of people rave about the Yamaha HS series. They truly shine in the mid and high range they don't crank the low rang up so there's absolutely no distortion at all no matter how high the volume is.
    I see why my cousin and the man at guitar center were trying to get me to purchase the Yamahas.

      I have the HS8’s. They’re fantastic. If you add the HS8 subwoofer, it’ll bring the low end down to 22Hz effortlessly. Truly amazing. And that sub is under $400.

    The Yamaha HS8's are crystal clear👌 I'm running the HS5's which have less bass but are even clearer! Going to add a subwoofer later for a real fullrange sound👀 I think that will be a unbeatable sound for the price.

    • @AwinashGuptar
      @AwinashGuptar ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@JESS-E_official considering to do the exact same thing. I just miss the low notes that I'm used to hear from my full Klipsch speaker system with 2x 12" subs😂 Then, when it's time to make music myself and i switch to my other setup with the yamaha's, there is 0% bass below 50hz. It just feels like the entire weight of the sound is non existent. I know how to work around it by using a analyzer plugin called "SPAN" while mixing/mastering. But just hearing what I'm doing in the low frequency range is still pretty necessary and also more enjoyable if you ask me. It's not that i want my bass to be boosted (i do like to do that every now and then because it's fun😁), but 90% of the time i just want to hear low notes when the content has it.

      I got the hs8 a few years ago and don't regret it. I also listen to music on them too, just so I know the speakers, so when I am mixing or mastering, I can get the best possible mix. though I don't think any frequency is too much in them. I did have to add some acoustic treatment to the back of the speakers though, but since then I have moved my desk back to the wall. So I guess there wouldn't be a problem anymore with the phasing of the bass.

      You can not hear the advantage of the ribon tweeter if you hear this video on your speaker at home with a normal tweeter. Go to a shop and hear the HS8 and T8V side by side. You will hear the big difference. The HS8 sounds like a towel lay over the speaker. The Adams have way less distortion in the highs. So hearing is much less ear tireing.

  • @OMPTraxxs
    @OMPTraxxs 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    I heard circa 30 Monitos at Music Sore Thomann. And the Yamaha, KRK and the Presonus have a midrange Overboost (like the old NS10) The Adams have a linear frequency response similar to genelec or neumann. The Yamaha, KRK and Presonus are not linear. This is for they who think Yamahas are linear. They are not!
    Go to a music store and hear it by yourself.

    The Yamahas are really clear. The Adams have a different "tone" on the higher frequenzes, maybe its the type of elements they use that just sounds different.

    Thanks for this test, what I found really interesting is that after a while I could tell with my eyes closed which was playing. The Adams, had the widest sound field with a bit of a hole in the middle (almost like a phase issue?), the KRK's had a slightly nasal mid range, the Yamaha's's had the most neutral balance and the most pronounced centre image.

  • @rubenz2147
    @rubenz2147 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thank you for the comparison. I think it depends on the type of music you want to mix if one monitor works more than the other. Personally in the electronic I find the KRK more interesting because it seems a more analog sound, while Yamaha seems more digital to me. Adam shines on acoustic and vocals. It could also be that some difference could be due to the position of the left microphone in the KRK, more towards the cone than in the others. The bass also seems more sonorous on the KRK, which is a monitor more suited to the type of music I compose. This video changed my preference for the Yamaha 8H that I wanted to buy. Now I'm leaning more towards the KRK rokit 8.

    First of all, you rock dude. This is the greatest comparison video ever. It was the dealbreaker for my decision, I needed it. Thanks so much.
    And second, I'll have to go with the KRK's. Reading reviews I was inclining towards the Yamahas because they have their reputation, but man listening to this it's clear that the KRK's are the best for pop/rock/urban music production in my opinion. The three are awesome, but love the balance between mids and highs on the KRK. The Yamaha sometimes was too sharp on the high end, and the Adams were too focused on the low end.
    Again, thanks so much!!!

Insane mid and high range characterized by fullness, clarity, strength of sound and a nice stage, they will never dissapoint you and if u just like to listen music just add an DAC like ex :"Topping E50" with xlr cables conections and u get a nice set without spending much money!!! Remember most recording studios have a pair of Yamahas.

    I prefer the adam t8v, overral better clarity & more airness, open sound and better soundstage thanks to the ribbon tweeter and overral quality & fine tuning i think. They sounds better in the lows (deeper lower end response). The test by amir on audiosciencereview recommand them to erveryone, they are the best in their price range far better than the yamaha and krk.

    You have a piece of music between 1.30 and 1.45 minutes that in those 15 seconds you should have changed from KRK to HS8, the same 15 seconds of sound on two speakers.
    Yet you change from KRK to HS8 when exactly at 1.46 a different piece begins. So this suggests a change in sound but you can't judge if its different because of the change of speaker
    or that the music changes. You do this several times after that. The best way to test is a continious music that goes on for 15 seconds, after 7 seconds you change the speaker to present
    the sound of the remaining of the 15 seconds. But don't change the speaker when the music changes cause then its not clear if the speaker is performing better or not.

      The Adams have no midrange weakness. The Yamaha and the KRK have an overboost in the midrange. I heard circa 30 Monitors side by side at Thomann Music Store. And for example Genelec and Neumann have a similar frequency response like the Adams. The Yamaha, KRK and the Presonus have a midrange overboost. And they are not linear.

    Hi guys, I need some new speakers..I’m a keyboard player on tour, but i also play my keyboards at home…
    I run all my keyboards in stereo into my Soundcraft EFX12 Mixer, then from there into the speakers… I’ve just sold my Yamaha HS7’s, I hated them! Awful sound and way too much midrange and boxy sounding, all I want to do is play my keyboards and sing through whatever speakers i now buy, also listen to TH-cam and WAVS and MP3’s
    I do NOT do any mixing or recording…
    Would the Rokit RP8 G4’s be okay for me? I will have to have them on stands and they will be around 8 inches from the wall, my room is square and no I don’t have any acoustic treatment…
    My room size is 9ft 2 inches by 9ft 5 inches
    Thoughts?

    thank you very much, but to an accurate analitycal listening you should play more complex music, like classical or jazz, not only EDM music, which is flat...in my HMO 🙂

    Hs sounds a lot of high freq range which in my opinion may cause hearing fatigue and its incredible to me that adam has less attack on low freqs idk why, it could be because the yamaha has more high freq range??¿¿?

    It was quite hard to choose between T8V and HS8 (dont like KRK), but at 7:30 rock melody showed a lot. Listen close to that electric overdriven guitar playing. On HS8 you hear it clearly. On T8V guitar is muddy, deaf and not clear. Then at 7:49 guitar plays smth over the main guitar melody with higher strings-like 2-4 strings. And again. On HS8 I hear it well, but on T8V its quieter and too much bass. Muddy even
    Maybe its the way you recorded them? Something to do with the mic? Because if it has nothing to do with how you recorded it and HS8 just sounds way better here, then if someone makes rock music-he should go HS8
    Do you also hear this difference? Why do you think that is? I am into rock listening and mixing
    On T8V that whatever guitarist is doing is simply sounding off and bad and bassy. As if some cloth is hanging over the speakers. How can they be more analytical than as you found out? That rock thing sounds perfect on HS8. Mid range guitar riffs is there, bass is there and highs. All balanced

    • @lb659
      @lb659 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The waveguide on the T8V is designed to reduce vertical dispersion on the AMT ribbon. The mic is sitting just below the ribbon and may be out of the sweet spot.

    • @christelhall9379
      @christelhall9379 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lb659 hm. If thats true, its good. Otherwise, T8V sounded really worse there
      Also, many people report that T8V color music and they give that HiFi experience. HS8 translate better. Also t8v have exaggerated bass
