I gave up alcohol December 2010. I never looked back. Greatest decision I made in my life. The first 6 months was very difficult, but then your body adjusts. Then your productivity and thinking goes to the stratosphere. No more ups and downs. I'm so much healthier too.
@@Moledmc Only way out is to isolate. Discipline. Get used to not having the same friends. I say this with all sincerity. Once you hit 6 months, the demon will be removed. Then expect your life to become 100x better. No exaggeration.

Only those who are in the same boat can help you see, by their own example instead of meaningless platitudes, a direction forward for you. Even then, if you're still so unique that the usual methods don't apply in your case, be prepared for a rough ride -- even to the point of going off the road.

Well, if youre already asking yourself those questions, theres your answer. Its very likely your drinking will get worse, alcoholism gets worse 99% of the time. So the earlier you quit the easier it will be.

It's excellent that you can be so disciplined. Not everyone is like that. Everyone has a different capacity for moderation and a different tendency to addiction. The only probably with being a good dribbler like you is that you make alcohol seem harmless. Your friends and family (especially children L will see how controlled you are and will think alcohol is fine. But it's a percentage thing. A small percentage will be prove to addiction. So the risk for people like you is that by normalising alcohol, the risk is that you influence someone with a greater tendency for addiction to drink. And they then develop the problem. So I would say think not only of yourself but those you may influence. Of course you may be one of the fortunate ones, whose family have similar abilities of moderation to you.
@@hugo2216 for some it's cultural. I've met many who wear a cross for sentimental reasons and say they don't believe in Christianity. Does he say anywhere he is a christian. He has lots of interviews. If he was one he would have mentioned it. In also not sure he always wears one. I'll check Google images for evidence. What's your source?

Alcohol was apparently different then and not as strong as now.

I drink a sensible amount about once every 2 months and I actually enjoy it. Drink is a night time thing.
