My two favorite DVD collections are ,"The Misfits of Science" &;"Max Headroom", I love them both!
Misfits of Science was awesome!
Misfits was good
There’s a DVD of Misfits??
@@j.p.6932 yup! It's German but can be changed to the original American spoken English, it also requires an International DVD Player.

I’m gonna have to get it!!!
I only remember Courtney and the guy with lightning hands;, but so much fun.
Although it started in 1979, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century gets my vote. It had a good first season, then they changed the format, and then a writer's strike ended. I didn't know it was cancelled for years!
It lasted for two seasons.
"Chicago, Chicago...yeah"
There was a great drama I believe from the 1990's that dealt with the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950's and 1960's. It was called "I'll Fly Away" starring Sam Watterston before "Law & Order", and it was gone way too soon.
You forgot Whiz Kids! I loved that show a lot, and then it just disappeared after 18 episodes.
Sledge Hammer was my favorite TV show from the 1980s. It got renewed for a second season, though.
One I'm surprised you didn't mention was Police Squad. It was the creation of the Zucker brothers of Airplane! fame and it starred Leslie Neilson and George Kennedy. The show only lasted 6 episodes. However, it turned into a huge movie franchise that most of you would remember as The Naked Gun series. The reason the show was cancelled was because the producers didn't think the audience wouldn't get the sight gags. The movie franchise proved them wrong. Oh, and Just Our Luck is our first example of 'get woke, go broke'.
I just rewatched Police Squad. It was way ahead of its time.
I loved that show and was so angry they canceled it.
As a teenager in the 80's, I watched all those shows!
Sarah Jessica Parker would become insufferable over time, but I recall liking Square Pegs a lot, and being disappointed when it went away.
Wild how TH-camrs use comments as therapy safespace to vent their frustrations and petty grudges
Sarah Jessica Parker Was A Pretty Nerdette! 🤓😍
For A 13 Year Old Teenage Boy! 😍🤓🤓
Just As I Was Getting Ready To Watch "Square Pegs" 📺 It Got Canned!😳😱🤯🥺😢

Oh these shows take me back. Especially Voyager. Family loved that one. My aunt was heartbroken when that lead actor died so tragically. Good list here my dude.
I loved voyagers
Bought on digital (prime)
I loved the show and cried when Jon-Erik Hexum passed. So sad.
I was in the 5 grade when Voyager was showing, and our History/Social Studies teacher always planned her lesson about that weeks time travel episode (she knew its all we would be talking about in class anyway so might as well make it part of the lesson!!).
He didn't die tragically. He died stupidly.
Going to the beach, that close to the water, and not expecting to get wet? You go Courtney Cox. That surfer dude had it coming.
Courteney Cox danced with Bruce Springsteen in one of his music videos.
@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc that's how she got her lazy eye
"Lottery" from 1982, an ABC midseason replacement that lasted seven episodes, about two agents who deliver the prize money and the people who are affected by their newfound wealth. Spoiler alert: money can't buy happiness.
I remember that show.
I like that show.
I remember Cracked Magazine did an article imagining if Lottery! had done a crossover with Dynasty.
"Blake Carrington III? I am thrilled to inform you that you have just won an incredible sum of money! Here is your check for one million dollars! Any questions?"
"Just one: When do I get the incredible sum of money you mentioned?"
The kidney donor episode indicated at the end that money can some times buy happiness. I remember the freeze frame at the end with the boys playing their ColecoVision...
One year later:
Two happy, healthy young millionaires.
LOTTERY was one of my favorite shows of the 80's. It should have lasted longer, despite the fact that anthology series were on the way out of Network TV.
Square Pegs was a freaking GREAT show! And it gave us Jami Gertz!!
Believe it or not, Jamie Gertz is worth 8 Billion.
Totally!🤟
I hated Jamie Gertz. She was a spoiled brat in Square Pegs and she was still a spoilt entitled brat in the movie Twister!!
I had read an article about square pegs that said one of the reasons why it was canceled is because the cast couldn't keep their clothes on and we're all messing with each other.
I loved this show!
Darkroom was an early 80's anthology horror series that only lasted one season but it was excellent. James Coburn was the host and the stories were very well done.
I was so mad when it got cancelled. I have the episodes on dvd R ,
Guess that show was a bit too sophisticated for those who prefer brainrot like The A Team or The Dukes Of Hazzard. 😑
@@tomlamb9677I wish I had it I love anthologies.
I loved it as a kid.
11:28 Age of Wilford Brimley (playing a retired pensioner at the time Our House premiered):- 52. Age of Brad Pitt (playing the commander of an M4 Sherman tank in an active theatre of war) at the time Fury premiered:- 51.
Yeah, some actors always look old. Brimley made it to 85, though.
Then there was Code Red, a show about the LA City fire department. It aired a few years after Emergency went off the air in 1978. Another show that got cancelled, although from the late 70's was the BJ, and the bear spinoff called The misadventures of Sheriff Lobo. That show was hilarious imo.
Wasn’t Adam Rich in that show?!? It was good
@@shannonblanchard8195 Yes he was, as Danny Blake who was adopted by the Rorchek family.

I love and a big fan of The Golden Girls, I wish it had lasted two more seasons on NBC. That way the show could have ended around the mid 1990s, for example the show could have ended in the Spring of 1994 or the Spring of 1995, but it did not happened, because Bea Arthur wanted to leave in the spring of 1992. Even Betty White said in a interview that the program could have lasted a couple of more seasons, but she also if one the actors is unhappy working on the show, you have to let the show go.
In many ways you’re so right!
I'm a child of the 80's & I remember all those shows too!😁👍 Just for reference, TALES OF THE GOLD MONKEY takes place in the Pacific just before the outbreak of WORLD WAR II. The show makes reference to the Japanese Imperial Forces preparing for their ATTACK on the US!
Didn't the first episode end with a gigantic gold monkey in a cave somewhere...?
But the narrator said it stars a former flying tiger (ww2) pilot, flying a 1930's plane, prior to 1915. How can any of that be wrong?
Views confused this show with Ba Ba Blacksheep and that’s why it failed.
I'm a little disappointed that there was no mention of Manimal or Street Hawk.
I was just thinking about Street Hawk. Another short-lived '80s show was the comedy Police Squad. It was so funny and it launched the Naked Gun movie series.
@@kevinpayton2664 Oh gahd! Police Squad for sure!!!!! The network (ABC, right?) screwed the biggest pooch on that one!
It's Your Move was legendary, especially with the Dregs of Humanity episodes!
I loved Max Headroom. I can still, remember getting the show bag at the Easter show. And thanks for bringing up Automan. I was trying to remember the show where a guy has a blue suit.
Max Headroom has ran for seven successful seasons from 1985 to 1991 on ABC after a series of failures such as Automan, Voyagers,
Darkroom, Otherworld, Wizards & Warriors, Manimal, Tales of the Gold Monkey and Misfits of Science.
Happy to see Tales of the Golden Monkey and Voyagers. I have always had fond, but foggy, memories of both those shows.
Both short lived shows were failing miserably for both networks.
Saw Bruce Springsteen video Dancing in the Dark. And said. That's not somebody random. That's that girl from that show!
Just finished watching Automan on DVD. Classic 80s.
Tom Hanks was asked if he would do a reunion show for Bosom Buddies. He said only if Peter would and Peter said no that part of his career was over.
Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari worked together again in the 1996 movie, That Thing You Do!
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Both appeared on Family Ties albeit not together LOL!

I really liked Starman with Robert Hays. Thank you so much for including Voyagers here. Automan must have costed a fortune to produce. Slightly before the 80s but Supertrain could have been better if managed differently.
I was enraged when they stopped small wonder, Vicky, the robot was ahead of her time
@@yell0wberry Small Wonder was fun as well. Remember Out Of This World? Good memories.
@@christianwootton100 yes, I remember that show with Donna Prescow, it also reminds me of her other 80s show that should have stayed on the air, a little longer, Angie, with Robert Hayes
Starman was my favorite. I loved small wonder as well.
Starman was dope! 💯❤️
The was a show called "The Wizard". .me and my brother loved. . it was pretty much a little person, toy maker Magyver. . Who wld solve crimes. . . I think it only had one season. . I use to think I must of imagined it till I found some episodes on TH-cam. . . I do believe its star was one of the little guys from Time Bandits.
I was just thinking of this. It starred David Rappaport of Time Bandits fame..he had all these inventions he would use to help solve mysteries. Loved that show!
Thank you....I remember that one!
It’s your Move (I’d read Jason character was influencing real life teen boys negatively copying his bad behavior and a lot of parents we’re complaining to the network about) and Bosom Buddies especially cut way to soon! Great video flashback bro
In my opinion, I think Jason Bateman‘s character on it’s your move was loosely based on his character on Silver spoons as Derrick…. The producers of Parker Lewis can’t lose probably used that show for cheat sheets.
It’s your move was hilarious. Jason Bateman was talented even then.
Episode 14 killed the show when Matt's mom catches him in a scheme. There was no where for the show to go after that.
@@MrShortWhiteGuy Agreed - show lost its edge after that.
It's Your Move, where you can see Steve Rhodes clash with a young Michael Bluth.
I believe that had 'Voyagers' not been canceled, Jon-Erik Hexum would still be alive. However, his follow-up show 'Cover Up' had great potential but went completely off the rails after his untimely death. 😢
Geena Davis starred in a series called Sara which did well in the ratings but was cancelled cause nbc didn’t have room for it. There was another show called all is forgiven starring Bess Armstrong that did well in the ratings but was dropped due to limited time slots.
A lot of veteran stars were having a string of
television flops that do not make money.
The networks had deprived viewers of good television by dropping TV shows that shouldn't have been cancelled.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc The fact is that most networks had deprived viewers of
good TV by dropping TV shows that
shouldn't have cancelled.
The Bess Armstrong sitcom was called On Our Own, it even featured Dixie Carter before her star turn in Designing Women.
@@luisreyes1963 the one im talking about was duting 84-85 season. In our own ibthink was in. 1980
Sqaure Pegs & then later Freaks & Geeks were both phenomenal shows about those high school years and both were never given a chance. It's Your Move, Jason Bateman was fantastic in that show & my sister and I will still tell people we saw The Dregs of Society back in the 80's just to see if they'll know what we're referencing. Max Headroom were too ahead of its time. That was such a cool & funny show, which funny is something you never really got with sci-fi shows.
The golden monkey... I remembered a movie like Indiana jones only it had a plane the Indy guy traveled around in. Also, I remember the killer monkeys on the island. When I grew up, I thought I had just imagined the show. Considering there was no movie like it that seemed to exist. 40 years later TH-cam finally opens up and answers my question. The movie I thought I might have imagined was called the golden monkey. Crazy.
It also had Roddy McDowell as a hotel/bar owner...
And there was another one just like it at the time that also only aired for a season titled "Bring 'Em Back Alive." It starred Bruce Boxleitner before he was on Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
Tales of The Gold Monkey
@@Manetho72 Bruce Boxleitner was also on How the West Was Won. James Arness starred in that one as well. Best Western series I saw other than Bonanza.
Oh man, Misfits of Science was my favorite thing back in the day. Still is a great show. Ray Walston playing a nursing home resident that gets super strength from eating irradiated burgers was awesome. Another show I'd toss in there is Otherworld. Really cool concept and visual design, plus it had Mike freaking Ehrmantraut, Jonathan Banks as, what else, a bad guy.
I wouldn't mind a reboot of Otherworld. Loved that show.
is Jonathan Banks the one from the TV series wiseguy?
@@dfangirl72 Yep!
@@Poizenne I would love to see it revived on Hulu, or at least Apple TV.
In Nov 1981 - to Jan 1982 , ABC aired a “ Twilight Zone “ like series called “ Darkroom “ hosted by James Coburn . Due to a lawsuit , it was canceled after 7 episodes. Also a crime drama titled “ Today’s FBI “ aired for one full season that same year .
I wasnt aware that Darkroom was cancelled due to a lawsuit, since I can't find anything online about it.
A pity it only lasted 7 episodes.
Loved this!! You should totally do another video on this subject. There are so many many, far too many to name, short-lived 80s tv shows.
Another good show that didn't last long enough was Sledge Hammer.
Loved Square Pegs & the show that came on after it Dreams with John Stamos (between General Hospital & Full House)
Sledge Hammer, yes! "Trust me. I know what I'm doing" 🤣😂🤣❤️
Beat me to it.

Voyagers was excellent! If you think about it, it's like a live-action version of Mr. Peabody and Sherman from the Bullwinkle days. It was educational and fun, and I was sorry to see it canceled. Also, it's tragic that Jon-Erik Hexum's accidental death made it impossible to revive with the original cast.
I loved that show as well. That kid could have at least joined his sister punky Brewster in helping her show go at least another season or two.
Jon-Erik Hexum's accidental death was preventable.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc exactly, he should’ve known better to think that he would definitely die from shooting himself in the head with a stage gun 😑 (where the hell do these damn trolls come from?)
It was a dumb and deadly move on his part.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc a stage gun is usually not supposed to kill you, nobody is disputing what he did was dumb, but 99% of everybody on set probably thought he wouldn’t have died because of it
Thank you for including Jon-Erik Hexum. His loss is still devastating.
"Our House" lasted for three seasons on NBC from 1986 to 1989 and moved to Disney's Freeform also lasted for five more seasons from 1989 to 1994
for Lorimar Television (1986-1993) and Warner Bros. Television (1993-1994) under Time Warner.
I LOVED "It's Your Move"
Great video! I remember almost all of these shows! I was particularly sad when Voyagers! was canceled.
A comedy show with just a few episodes I wished wasn’t cancelled is No Soap Radio. There’s a couple bits of it here on TH-cam.
I am SO happy I found your channel!! I LOVE everything 80s! You reminded me of so many shows that I LOVED!! Wilfred Brimley ❤❤ amazing! I feel like there were a few of them that shld NOT have been cancelled!! Bosom Buddies was a HUGE FAVORITE of mine. It makes me sad when folks have NO idea what I'm talking about!
one later show, in the 90's early 2k that only did one season was the Phantom, they updated the purple suit, had a good story line, and when the kid decided to take the role as the next Phantom..the Ghost who walks..... it ended
It's Your Move had one of my favorite episodes of any show. The two of them went on a game show and the neighbor told the kid in order to get them on he had to make up an elaborate backstory for the both of them about being explorers or some such nonsense. As a result, the kid was supposed to have sleeping sickness due to being bitten by tsetse flies on one of the trips. The kid used this fact to great effect when it cam time for him to answer questions only he would know, where he "fell asleep" mid show much to the neighbor's chagrin.
I loved that show.
love this stuff thanks
It's Your Move was one of the best shows EVER! With the vast majority of everything ever produced by Hollyjewood being utter crap, the rare gem that slips through gets cancelled after 18 episodes?!!!!!!!!!
Your channel is great! The clips of the shows run a bit long, but it’s great seeing these again.
great video! i was looking for "Street Hawk" on here!
I’d love to see a Max Headroom reboot today!
Stick with the 1985-1991 seven year run on ABC with Matt Frewer.
With the exceptions of Just Our Luck, Square Pegs and Bosom Buddies, I watched and loved all of these shows.
It's Your Move - I LOVE the Christmas episode where they were mixing up a chemical in the bathtub and giving it as gifts, either as cologne or liquor. At one point his sister come out and complains that it's starting to eat through the tub. Norman says that if he thinks so little of him that he'd give him a bottle of the stuff, he can forget it. Matt casually picks up a notepad and crosses his name off the list. Of course also the two part episode with the Dregs of Humanity. :)
Tales of the Gold Monkey was a good show. If given s chance it could have become a great show but now well never know.
“Bosom Buddies”: The two stars reunited briefly in Tom Hanks’ 1996 movie, “That Thing You Do.”
Tom Hanks wrote and directed the film.
Voyagers is where I learned about the Titanic sinking as a youngster. It was a cool premise that you can't help but believe Quantum Leap was inspired by.
Also learned from hearing what happened to Hexum on his other show the dangers of blank guns at point blank range R.I.P.😢
I also liked *Misfits of Science.* But I should say... I liked the IDEA of that.
In my young age I also started to draw a comic, based on that concept (and yes, I saw that show BEFORE the Marvel comics).
But my "need" to make a comic was fed from FRUSTRATION: the show had great potential, but everything was so slow and their skills never grew up to make it cool. I wanted more action and excitement.
As same as for the show *"My Secret Identity",* where I was hoping all the time to see the character to learn to master his powers and start to be cool, but it was slow, not that funny and at the end of the season he was still lame like he just got his powers that week.
For god's sake! He had a scientist friend able to create any freaking impossible device, to compensate his inability to fly (he can only float) and make other possible useful gadgets... but they chose to keep the castrating argument "I'm not going to help you to become a super hero, jeopardising your incolumity !", perfectly knowing that he would have kept going to act on his own, but without his precious help. (because in fiction, geniuses are all stupid).
To prove my point: even in the clip he used for this video, he had to add cool music to a collection of the few action scenes toke from different episodes and focus on the only 2 character with an interesting power.
And still, you can see every scene is terribly slow and they take forever to use it once... and the small man just kinda fit inside small holes.
That's all of the action of the show.
OMG, there were a ton of shows from the 80s that I wish didn't get canceled.
Starman(1986-1987)
Amazing Stories(1985-1987)
The Storyteller(1987-1989)
Braingames(1983-1985)
Kidd Video(1984-1985)
Sledge Hammer!(1986-1988)
Werewolf(1988-1989)
The Insiders(1985-1986)
Puttin' On The Hits(1984-1985)
The Comic Strip(1987-1988)
Out of Control(1984-1985)
Amazing Stories, Sledge Hammer! & Werewolf were the only shows I recall fondly.
Omg! Putting on the hits!!!!yeeeessss
Tales of the Gold Monkey actually took place shortly before World War II. The main character was an ex pilot for the Flying Tigers.
Also we did not fight Japan in world war I
I remember Tales Of The Golden Monkey. It was like an Indiana Jones movie. It also starred Jeff McKay, I believe, who was on & would later go back to Magnum PI. Bosom Buddies was also good, with Tom Hanks & Peter Scolari & Dan Aykroyd's Future Wife, Donna Dixon & others.
Great channel man! Enjoyed this episode very much and brought back a lot. One show that comes back to me is a show called The Wizard on CBS in the 80s. It was about a little person who was also a toy maker. loved that show but seems like ti was here then gone again.
It's Your Move ...was incredible. Soooooo much fun to watch as a 14-15 year old boy.
I was working on athe New Kids on the Block video, SINGLE, in Vegas. There was a set photog who looked very very familiar. So, I asked him if he was an actor, he said that he used to be. I then asked him if he was the boy in Voyagers. The look on his face was PRICELESS. He asked, how did I know that? Well, Ill tell ya , after 30 years he still looked like Jeffrey Jones, his character on the show. Only he now had a beard. He's a Great Great fella. Nice as can be and it was so very awesome to meet him. Cheere Meeno
Wow! I consider myself a vintage TV junkie. You've opened my brain with this!! I don't remember 90% of these. In 1988, my dad had terminal cancer and from late 1987 to 1989, I didn't watch much TV because I wasn't enjoying it as much. BOSOM BUDDIES and SQUARE PEGS have always been well referenced shows, I didn't realize they were ratings duds. Eventually, my 80s TV "must" watches were NEWHART and EMPTY NEST.
Bosom Buddies (1980-1982, ABC; 1982-1984) was great fun, but Norman Lear's Square Pegs (1982-1983, CBS) was a flop.
Type II Diabeetus! Wilford Brimley looked grumpy, but he was actually really friendly and down to talk to fans over social media or otherwise. I told him once we had a neighborhood kitty that had an uncanny resemblance to him and we named it Wilford Brimley. However, when Wilford had kittens, we changed her name to Winifred Brimley. He thought this was pretty funny and said he wish we'd had a photo to share. Unrelated to Type II Diabeetus or Quaker Oats, I have a cat currently who I inherited from my post-military friend and mentor who passed through the veil in 2021. 3 of them in fact. He wasn't good at naming cats. They were Fat Girl (who's not fat), Naughty (who's really well behaved...mostly), and White Guy (which is true, but he has orange spots, too. And he's hooge.) When we adopted them, we changed their names to Beep (a reference to her voice), Naughty (it was the only good one), and Ron Howard. This cat has an uncanny resemblance to the actor/director, Ron Howard, and whenever anyone sees him for the 1st time and asks his name, they chuckle and agree! lol When he stands he's nearly the same height that Opie was on Andy Griffith, as well!
Oh, did I miss it, or did "Manimal" not make this list? I remember when it was relegated to a very late time slot, I would stay up to watch. But then they'd switch its times without warning or announcement. Then... The Manimal turned into a hawk and flew away, never to ignite the imagination of young dudes again. I would sign up for Manimal experiments in a heartbeat! lol 🤣
a good name for the white cat with orange spots, could be Creamsicle.
@@markdepeppo4274 Yeah, for sure, but this is a hubungous male cat. If we hadn't named him Ron Howard, it woulda been Opie. The resemblance is crazy. Wish I could post his pic! He's a whole case of creamsicles and not really fat, just physically LARGE. lol
It’s Your Move was very underrated and most of the staff and David Garrison would all work together again on Married with Children, which like It’s Your Move had an edge.
Funny you mentioned The Dregs of Humanity episode, the very next episode right after that infamous Dregs of Humanity episode, he actually did caught by his mom when he tried to find a way to get his mom’s boss a raise and it backfires badly on him. That episode marked the beginning of the format change into a more traditional sitcom after the fuss about parents made about the Matt Burton character being a bad influence on kids as well as the move to Saturdays from Wednesdays.
Very brilliant video overall here.
Matt getting caught by his mom in a scheme killed the show. There would be no reason for her to trust him in future episodes. It's Your Move was a great show.
i had a crush on Jon Erik
Wow Kevin! Thank you! I cant believe i knew every single show. There must be more i forgot about. It was different back then. We must be around the same age. Not that many chanels. I do remember lee van cleef as a ninja. "Master" and "Ten speed and brown shoe" Thanks again!
In 1983 there was a midsession show called Ryan’s four a medical drama starring Tom skerrit and Tim Daly. It did well in the ratings but the network dropped it cause they had another medical show on the schedule so they dropped Ryan. And ironically the show they picked to standby didn’t last the full season.
And so, it didn’t last long because the network has finally dropped for good reason.
"Probe" starring Parker Stevenson. A reclusive genius that solved crimes with the help of his secretary, played by Ashley Crow.
I loved "Our House"...I remember Diedra Hall giving a speech to a boyfriend that had to do with lying by omission and the last lines were "you're a self-centered, deceitful man and I am very happy you're not in my life. And I will be even happier when you're not I'm my house" or something like that...
I cannot see Matt Freur or Max Headroom without having "Lawnmower Man 2" start playing in my head....cringe.
After the bonafide success of Emmy winning programs Dallas, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest...Lorimar Television was looking for new ways
to produced more successful programs and they are Rituals, ALF, Our House, Full House, Paradise, Midnight Caller, Family Matters, Sisters, Dark Justice,
Homefront, I'll Fly Away, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Time Trax and Babylon 5 with better ratings.
Lorimar has found some great success since The Waltons and Eight is Enough but they produced one of the most popular sci fi programs
for the production company: the Emmy Award winning Max Headroom with Matt Frewer. Aired on ABC and ran for a total of seven
successful seasons from April 1985 to March 1991. Filmed at Pinewood Studios, London, England and the Burbank Studios,
Burbank, California.
I remember some of these shows but I was a teenager in the 80's
That was Awesome, Voyager, Automan, The Misfits of Science, Bosom Buddies…..The Wizard.
I don't remember all of these, but it's weird that i remember watching them on different televisions. My parents divorced when i was 7 in 83. I remember coming home on Sundays from my dad's and watching Our House. I remember Chad Allen being every girl's crush.
Game shows weren't immune to quick cancellation! I can recall when The Price Is Right with Tom Kennedy had its 1985-86 run along with The $100,000 Pyramid (1985-88).
Too bad Bosom Buddies co-star guy name Tom Hanks(I think was?) never amounted to anything after the series was canned.
"Bosom Buddies" (1980-1984) has lasted for four years on both networks: ABC (Nov. 1980 - May 1982) and NBC (June 1982 -May 1984).
Remember It's Your Move There was an episode where Justine Bateman guest starred as a nerdy girl She was of course Mallory on Family Ties and Jason real life older sister 😊
Gotta love those 80's special effects! 😂
I don't remember Voyagers being cancelled so much as Hexum accidentally fatally injuring himself with what he thought was "harmless blanks" while joking around with castmates on a different show.
Fantastic Vid!! Can't say enough good stuff! Liked and gladly subbed!👍
I loved Misfits of Science when it was on. I was thinking of it when i saw the title of the vid...glad you included it
Square Pegs, too! and Voyagers! You really hit my tv-watching years right here
My brother always threw himself up against the car window whenever I was driving and making a turn. I half believed I dreamed Automan.
I loved all of these shows. I would also add My Secret Identity with Jerry O'Connell, Beyond Westworld (yes, it is related to the 2016 HBO series Westworld), Rags to Riches, and Blacke's Magic.
Oh yes, Rags to Riches 👍🏼
Westworld and Futureworld were both movies way before the show. Both creepy, dig it. Too much recycled nostalgia. Can anything be original anymore?
In the UK we never had the show. We just had the pilot episode released as a stand alone movie! I loved it!
The premise has kinda been redone though (to a point) in the UK show simply entitled Misfits. Which if you haven’t seen, you should totally check out.
Manimal and Other World always comes to mind when I see a list like this.
Voyagers was my favorite show! It got me excited about history.
Happily Divorced and Inside Herman's Head are just a few of my favorite cancelled shows.
There was also a 80’s show called The Charming’s which was short lived and very funny. Sure wish it would come out on DVD.
I’m sorry but that’s not your decision. I don’t think it’s fair to say anything about this and that when it comes to everything that’s all. I think it’s fair to say that they don’t have the time to do this because that’s not important anymore. Let them decide what they want to do and figure out an better way to do things. We have
plenty of chores to do and don’t have to argue about television
stuff anymore. I’m sorry but I cannot go on and on for a long time - sometimes it’s best to let
everything else go away and
moved on with our lives just like
the way we used to.
I LOVED Tales of the Gold Monkey!
New subscriber here and lover of all things 80's! Keep up the good work!
I wished these shows would come back on tv some of them are your favorites
LOVED Automan, Tales of the Golden Monkey, Max Headroom, Bosom Buddies, Square Pegs.
I was so mad about Wonder falls. I've seen every episode multiple times and love it.
I loved that show. I was pissed when they cancelled it.
It's crazy how some of these shows feel like they were on a lot longer than they actually were, but others seemed like they were on for a week retrospectively.
It’s Your Move was absolutely awesome. Was so pissed when this show got concealed. Tales of the Gold Monkey was really good as well.
2 shows that I loved that didn't last long were Earth 2, and The Pretender. Both from the 90's.
The Pretender lasted 4 Seasons
Yes.@@bryanhayes1218
@@bryanhayes1218 Tell it like it is.
As an 8 year old I loved 'Misfits of Science'. Another one was 'StreetHawk' which featured a 'futuristic' crime fighting motorcycle and sped up film during 'mach' speed sequences. Still that show and 'ChiPs' made me a lifelong motorycle enthusiast.
I was already to jump in here all indignant that you didn't mention Square Pegs. But you did. I was a freshman and sophomore in high school when it was aired. Loved it. Thanks 😊😎
Oh I loved Max headroom! I remember that I could not wait for each episode. I loved the premise and Matt Frewer was excellent. Great show. One season. Just like new Amsterdam, and journeyman from 2007. Great shows, one season.
That said, I would like to personally warn you against applying today's silly standards of social life to the past. It was what it was. If you think it's problematic today, don't watch it.
Wow, didn't realize bosom Buddies only had 37 episodes. That's the same as Firefly twice and the first season of What If put together ...
It's Your Move was one of my all times Faves!!! And Square Pegs.
Alienation was a show cancelled too quickly but that may have been due to the fact that it was too expensive to make...
Thank u for taking me back to my childhood I loved all these shows they was all gone to soon thank you thank you
The entired season of It's Your Move is on Crackle.
