- Oh the chaos! 😬🥰 Our kids love going trick or treating at this block that is closed off on the upper west side, but wow is it crazy! Most of the kids dressed up in Star Wars costumes, but Josiah (the rebel lol) dressed up as a British WW1 officer. After trick or treating we had a party with Naomi's beautiful charcuterie boards and some fun treats we got at Trader Joe's. We also made some individual apple pies which the kids loved eating the next day. We finished off the night with some good teeth brushing of course! 😅 #largefamilylife #momof10 #nyc #halloween

Fantastic costumes! Josiah looking dapper in his WWI British officer costume and how sweet he is to look after Melody. Pearl did a beautiful job sewing her costume. Naomi is quite the baker and great makeup! Elijah doing pull ups in the subway is a true New Yorker vibe😄 little Mo as R2D2 is everything. light saber battles with Noah, Anna, Chloe and Enoch so much fun. And to end the night sorting and trading candy 🤩 Great Halloween haul!

Love that Josiah was Melody’s candy ally! Her face as he describes staving off the crowds is precious. I thought WE had a lot of tricker-treaters. I was wrong-that was crazy!

Wow you all had a fun and safe Halloween and trick or treating I had lot trick or treaters but some went church for trunk or treat everyone decorates the trunk of there cars and give the kids candy. Always lots of hugs and love to you all sweet dearest friends The Happy Caravan 😊❤️

Thanks for posting the holiday celebrations so quickly! It’s all just so great! But I think my favorite is watching all the kids enjoying their candy on the subway ride home. I live in the Deep South, small town, Alabama. For the 2nd year straight we had not one trick or treaters. Love your video, I miss the days when my street was crowded with lots of kids, and decorations. People down here are quite skidish, they trust no one. The costumes were great.

This brings back memories. My brother and I would go trick or treating, come home, dump our bags, and swap the stuff we didn’t like. Luckily we had some stuff in common and then the other stuff we were opposites in so it worked out nice.
When my sister was 4, my brother and I were teenagers practically screaming at her to not give dad any Reese’s cups because he didn’t do anything for them and she did all the hard work walking around 😂 she thought it was the funniest thing ever when she gave dad Reese’s cups and we were like “how dare you do this to us, it’s tradition to not give dad any of our candy. He’s a grownup he can buy his own!”
Haha yes! That’s so cute the story about your dad. I heard one of the dads out trick or treating asking his kid “hey what did you get for me?”😅 the kid looked at him like he was crazy lol…

WOW! I have never seen so many trick or treaters in my life. 🎃🦇👻All of the kids looked so cute. I have to say my favorite was little Mo. You tell Josiah I said he looked very nice in his costume. It was very fitting on him. I think the reason I have a warm place in my heart for him is, he reminds me of the way the guys dressed back in the day when I was young. It would be nice if the young ones would still dress like that, but I know times have changed. It's nice that they block the street off for the tricksters. It looks like they all had a good time. Don't know if you have a Walmart close, but their candy is 75% off. I got a bag that was $19.99 and it rang up at $4 something. I just got it because one of my sons is coming to visit this weekend and wanted to have a few sweets that he likes to munch on. That was a nice little party all of you had afterwards.

Loved the video but it gave me full on anxiety . that many people crowded in a small space and the “ candy “ eating before it was checked by an adult ( maybe it was , just not shown) . I grew up in the times when jerks were putting pins , needles, etc in the candy where the hospitals would have X-rays where they would check them for you. Loved the candy swapping though , reminded me of my sister and I doing that as children.
Yes it was definitely nerve racking! I’m glad it worked out! So grateful for Josiah who help Melody’s hand the whole time!
