- Our sweet Pearl turned 20 so we had a fun tea party to celebrate! She made English Tea Party treats and a Narnia inspired "marmalade roll". I guess it was supposed to have beef suet in it, but she could only find beef tallow, so it wasn't quite the right consistency, but it sure tasted yummy! She also made a lovely cake and some little tea sandwiches. Her friend Dovey from Juilliard came to help her celebrate. Mo was very happy with the froggy soap container he picked out for Pearl! I think he may let her use it from time to time 😅. I'm still learning how to be ready for guests, I think we need a couple extra tea pots! That’s what was thinking. Im actually reading Anne of Green Gables right now! I read it years ago but my husband got me the entire set for Christmas. I love the books (and movies)

I agree, am much older but never got use to mom and dad. You are the age of one of our granddaughters.
I’m 65 and to this day refer to my parents,( now deceased) as Mama and Daddy,( or as a teenager in my letters to my dad who worked off-shore),” Dear Lovable Pop”.
Pearl is so gentle and kind. She's the kind of friend everyone should have. It was nice to see she brought a friend to celebrate!

My best friend is one of 16 kids all from the same mom and dad. I used to love the chaos at her house. Although her mom had so many kids, she always welcomed me as one of her own. Such a sweet lady. I was at her house almost daily.
