I have a collection of bank bags that go back to the 1970s-from my college days in Alabama, my hometown Chicago, to where I’m living now (Durham NC). They were all free for the asking, of sturdy builds with great zippers, and versatile-canvas, vinyl, horizontal, vertical, various sizes, etc. Fun and highly recommended.
That sounds like a fascinating collection of bank bags! It's wonderful that you have accumulated such a diverse range of bags from different locations and time periods. The fact that they were all free for the asking must have made it even more enjoyable to acquire them. @@RushfasterTV … I’d also like to add that items gotten for free, as gifts or otherwise, almost always have a stories behind them. That adds to the joy of using them. I love fresh new gear but I suggest finding a balance between purchasing new and collecting gear in other ways.
l got one of the alpaka tech pouches (mini), and the feature I use most is the included strap, I never thought I would use it as a sling, but its sorta perfect as a smaller option vs the belroy venture 6L sling I have. My only regret is that I got the mini and not the normal size, the normal is not much bigger, and is virtually the same weight, but its a little thicker, and sometimes I'd like to have that space. If I wanted a thinner tech pouch, that alpaka is prob not the play (unless you like a thin sling option), maybe the dayfarer or waterfield, or the aer small thin one.
