A most powerful performance diluted by an over enthusiastic camera man who moved more than the dancers did. Wish I could see this performance as a stationary audience.

Ramli Ibrahim is a jewel of Malaysia who learned the Indian classical dance out of interest and a spectacular performer. He is almost 68years old with non-aging body and an humble artist.
A dance is not merely a technical presentation of foot work or speed of the hand movements alone...it needs grace, dedication, devotion and the love for the divine. What we see here is sheer light of Shiva dancing in the shadow of space! Simplicity, ecstacy and spellbound.....the Soul rejuvenates. There is a profound grace of silence in this beautiful choreography! Thank you Sir.
it does have faith.indian dances are devoted to different hindu gods and depiction of puranic stories, ramayan, mahabharat its not dedicated to islamic god or xtian god

Love every bit of it. In a world of female dancers it’s so refreshing to see, such masculine expression of this beautiful and divine art form. Beautifully captured and presented.
Wow! I've never seen videos of men performing this style of dance, just women. I'm grateful to the TH-cam algorithm for expanding my horizons. Om namah Shivaya 🕉🕉🕉
This is what I called the art of body movement , the true meaning of dance , I salute my gurus from bottom of my heart, I am proud to be a trained odissi dancer , one of the oldest dance form of India 🙏. Trust me this divine aura gave me goosebumps .
I am an old Canadian broad who can't dance any more due to a chronic condition in my legs. And boy, do I envy you! You are continuing a beautiful cultural tradition for your people, while fulfilling what I think is a genuine religious calling. I'm half Viking and half Pict. Um...my traditional culture and calling involves a lot of beer swilling, monastery rampaging, pillaging, walloping people over the head and stealing their sheep....drinking whisky a lot....attacking Romans, because let's face it, they have it coming. Um...attacking harbor towns, setting them on fire. Sigh. And keeping the axes, swords and knives clean. Because nobody likes a messy scabbard. On the whole, your dance tradition is much friendlier.
This is beautiful, I had no idea that Odissi was being practised in Malaysia…how wonderful ! While I love all the Indian dance forms , I find Odissi the most fluid and mesmerising..
The state of Odisha was earlier known as Kalinga, a most powerful state in ancient India, having maritime relationship with South East Asia specially with Malaysia & Indonesia. So culturally the both lands are connected, now it's being revived again.
Part of what's amazing to me is that one of the oldest cultures in the world is still able to maintain such a rich Heritage of its Origins. Dance and music and traditions. In today's world the way things change and the way that people tend to forget so much of the past in favor of something new. I for one love to study history and cultures. If I had my way I would teach history until the day I drop dead. I mean look at America with the way the Republicans are changing everything right now there now some states where you can't talk even talk as a teacher about anything to do with race or anything else is uncomfortable to some people. For instance in a couple States I'm not even sure people are going to be allowed to talk about the entire 1800's now because of the issue of slavery and the results of it so talkin about what leading up to the Civil War the Civil War and reconstruction in the Civil Rights Movement I'm not even sure we're going to be allowed to teach that anymore. And then you look at India in India does have its problems too but they can maintain this kind of tradition I find it amazing and encouraging. Course I've always had a bit of a Fascination for Indian history, religion, and cultures. I even have a big thing for watching a lot of Bollywood movies LOL. So I do get to know you don't see some dance and some music even though it's been probably made a little flashier too because it's on screen. This is a superb video. You usually only see female dancers I enjoy this a lot

I was transported back to my teenage years when I first met Ramli Sir and wanted so much to be eternally immersed in this world of divine energy and grace. Time had other plans for me. Now I feel reconnected, almost as if I never left. Thank you for this blissful jolt. Om Namah Shivaya🙏🏼
One thing I did not understand- everytime they made a formation, camera moved sideways. This was meant to be seen from bang in front - so we got the impression of multiple hands and heads of Shiva. But because the camera moved to the side, it couldn’t be seen. Otherwise the dance is beautiful. But camera was frustrating.
Thats not true....all cultures have beauty and meaning...while we rejoice in our glory lets not be consumed by the evil of pride that comes from discrimination. Shiva alone is dancing then how can you say He is not present in other cultures?? Isnt that contradictory??
Masculine and feminine are not depends on sex indeed it's depends on gender. Moreover expression of presence and behaviour. Scintillating performance...lots of respect.
Watched it with awe... bow down to your dedication, Lord Shiva or NATARAJA is the GURUDEV or KING of Dance forms and seeing all male dancers has re-instated that art is not all lost in the world of material gratification and especially in our male counterparts.
