- Wanted to do one of these videos for a long time. Basically society is meant to have collapsed due to global warming, the economy crashing, disease, riots, lack of resources and humanity going further more into a downwards spiral and this is playing decades later on an old broken radio in the wastes of New York.

This always reminds me of the story of Wolfenstein, in which the Nazis got the atom bomb first and dropped it on New York during WW2. The picture is what I would imagine it looking like.

I know it's not real but this makes me feel such a profound sadness. I think it just feels a bit too real. Seeing the earth slowly withering before our eyes makes this future seem like a very real possibility.

This reminds me of a dream I had where I was in New York and everyone was pushing and rushing as I heard the nuclear sirens and I went with them and as the bomb dropped I saw a flash but I wasn’t dead just pain lots of pain and I saw the city looked completely destroyed and falling apart with the Statue of Liberty’s front completely destroyed and I started to hear music like this except it has different lyrics it was difficult to make out i couldn’t tell but it seemed to be in German cause I heard a few words i learned when taking German in school
I had a similar dream but it was more like me and some others were being escorted by the army probably to a bunker and the radio was mentioning cities all around the world being bombarded by nukes.
statistically speaking NYC doesn't really pose a tactical value as a nuclear target just someone being a giant asshole in a city of assholes. Likely someone would see the cloud and go "jesus I just paid my rent"

i watched a documentary about 9/11 in my social studies class once, and it showed a recording of the plaza in between the two towers after the first tower was hit. in the background you could hear the faint cracks of corpses hitting the ground from the top floors. the atmosphere sounds in this video kinda remind me of that.

So here we are. The heavy clanking steps of my power armor is suppressed by the rain that is falling onto my helmet as I roam what's left of our world. This wasteland. The radio in my suit is broken yet this song still plays. I feel a sense of rexalation as it chimes into my ears. I start to relate to the lyrics. I have a feeling that we're going to meet again sometime. But it's not true. She's dead. I still roam the radio active dirt pile that is left. Whitout her.

There’s something haunting about the idea of this being the specific song that plays on loop, echoing into an empty, ruined world with no one left to hear it.
Imagine knowing your the only human left and while scavenging for food you hear this start playing far from you in some smoke and getting closer.
Okay imagine this but with like a voice singing along with a shaky breath, maybe that someone would be rocking back and forth, trying to comfort themselves as the world has ended. Probably a young person that was left alone by the downfall, maybe their parents would have gotten killed or something during this. Maybe they're waiting for them and slowly realizing they'll never back.
Spiderwebs make their way up over the walls, winding and twisting over cracked panes and collapsing in a blanket of silvery silk into the chests of rooms. Hollow stars snap and crackle in the heavens, radioactive faces twisting into pictures of pain and memory. The trees, the trees bend their heads in mourning, and the girl's crooning voice wraps around them, a lilting sweet tone cracking over pops in the sound. Somewhere sometime, the world was vibrant and full, and now the sun cries teary radiation at what has come to pass now.
This is the kind of creative writing I love. Especially when it's from random people on TH-cam.

Once you know everyone else is dead, this song gives the truest feels of emptyness, it doesn't feel lively anymore, nobody to talk to, nobody to change something, only you, alone, animals are most likely dead too, now all you can do is wait till your death, or just live the last time remaining of your life in emptyness.

I think pollution should be our main concern. Not the fact that our climate isn't, never has been, and never will be, stable.

This is one of my favorite songs, so to hear it like this is oddly comforting yet creepy. I think it may be because the song is such a happy song, so it being played during this setting is really a juxtaposition to the situation. Especially since the last line "One sunny day!" Is staticed out
There’s always been something so bittersweet and unsettling about this song. Probably since it was based off a wife saying goodbye to her husband going off to fight in WW2 and doesn’t know when/if she’ll ever see him again. Saying goodbye but holding onto the hope that one day you’ll be reunited and things will be okay again. If not here, then on another plane of existence. I think it’s absolutely perfect for the dystopia/horror genre.
I’m glad that someone also understand that this will happen if we don’t do something about pollution and global warming

Arstotzka has fallen. Chaos has broken out and the world has gone crazy. A war ripped apart Arstotzka and nuclear weapons were indeed used. Now soldiers pour in to Arstotzka. You are a soldier Moving car to car as gunshots echo through the city. The main battle has ended. And now the survivors are murdering everybody they see. You get nervous as the gunfire gets louder. Music echos from a bus and the gunfire gets closer. you raise your rifle while taking light fire at time to time. You have no idea what is going to happen next. But you pray the enemy has not found you.

this takes me to the time a read an account from one of the foot solders of Germany who were apart of the berlin 3 tear defence plan and i just remember thinking to myself that would have been hell if not even worse.
Well, there will always be some radio station that’s solar powered, and the transmitter got left switched on. Funnily enough I actually have a crank radio, which when batteries inevitably run out I can still pick the ghosts of the old world.
