i watched a documentary about 9/11 in my social studies class once, and it showed a recording of the plaza in between the two towers after the first tower was hit. in the background you could hear the faint cracks of corpses hitting the ground from the top floors. the atmosphere sounds in this video kinda remind me of that. or it could just be gunshots, idk

This reminds me of a dream I had where I was in New York and everyone was pushing and rushing as I heard the nuclear sirens and I went with them and as the bomb dropped I saw a flash but I wasn’t dead just pain lots of pain and I saw the city looked completely destroyed and falling apart with the Statue of Liberty’s front completely destroyed and I started to hear music like this except it has different lyrics it was difficult to make out i couldn’t tell but it seemed to be in German cause I heard a few words i learned when taking German in school
I had a similar dream but it was more like me and some others were being escorted by the army probably to a bunker and the radio was mentioning cities all around the world being bombarded by nukes.

The radio in my suit is broken yet this song still plays. I feel a sense of rexalation as it chimes into my ears. I start to relate to the lyrics. I have a feeling that we're going to meet again sometime. But it's not true. She's dead. I still roam the radio active dirt pile that is left. Whitout her.
There’s something haunting about the idea of this being the specific song that plays on loop, echoing into an empty, ruined world with no one left to hear it.
POV: You’re in a ruined New York as you are fighting you get separated from your squad. Alone and fearful of the looming threat that could attack at any moment, you hear a radio starting to play in the distance. The last strands of your sanity snap as you listen to the music. You forget why you are fighting. You ignore the gunshots from around you. And you just start to joyfully dance in the ruined plaza.

Your brain isn't getting much blood from your throat, but you're somehow still alive. All you can hear is your radio, and the destroyed New York square... You think about ending the suffering, but you get a good view, so you wait for your time to come. Watching the Sunset, the guns, the planes of different countries fighting for the state. Your life fades as the radio malfunctions, and you get glimpses of how society was before the conflicts.
In this universe, Bill wins, but he was tired of toying with the pines. He moves on, taking over more worlds, and he now owns Ford and Stan. He's trying to get the mystery twins to join him (Mabel and Dipper) so he can bring chaos upon every universe.
This is one of my favorite songs, so to hear it like this is oddly comforting yet creepy. I think it may be because the song is such a happy song, so it being played during this setting is really a juxtaposition to the situation. Especially since the last line "One sunny day!" Is staticed out

This actually makes some kinda odd sense in an apocalypse, due to society no longer existing, it just somehow makes sense for the occasion
I like how it went from global cooling to global warming to climate change within the span of 30 years. A new politcal veiw for the masses every ten years. And a new dooms day date every 5. I think pollution should be our main concern. Not the fact that our climate isn't, never has been, and never will be, stable.
