RECOVERING HEAT STRESSED LAWN ~ After years of testing this is the best way!

- This is what I get for listening to the "traditional way" of watering a lawn... "YardBrah... you have to water in the morning deep and not was frequent."
MY ASS 😂
The proof is in the pudding our neighbor Rick is on the same water schedule as we were last summer and look at his lawn compared to ours... we have officially moved to 4th place for best lawn of the neighborhood behind CSM Rick, Next door Rick and Jonathan.... who are also following my water schedule from last year 🧐 Funny how I don't do my own method and my lawn is drying up.... but my neighbors who we helped renovate and overseed follow our watering method and their lawns are looking prime time!
Since we listened to everyone who said water deep and not as frequent we now have to fix the lawn. This is how you fix a heat stressed lawn.
Officially never listening to watering advise anymore cause OUR METHOD WORKS! If you're stuck in the traditional way of lawn care this channel is not for you move along 😂 Old and busted... NEW HOTNESS! 😂🤙🏾

Thanks for watching my dudes! My name is YardBrah and this is my lawn care journey! Subscribe to get updates on lawn care tips, product reviews and tool reviews.
Bro has 1 mower for each blade of grass at this point
Yesss new yardbrah video! You keep me entertained at work lately. I bought my first home about a year and a half ago and I'm finishing up the inside, I've been living vicariously through you until I have the time/money to get working on my own lawn. I did mow diagonal stripes into the lawn the other day after watching you though, just had to 😂
Back to work after being off for 2 weeks. Long ass day, and this video just made it
I give it thumbs up before I watch the awesome video
How do we get over 2k views and only 225 likes on the vid. Give the brah some love people.
"Check your sprinkler" is such a good point. Last year I had a section of lawn that was struggling. It also happened to be the section that had no tree cover so got the most sun. I just assumed that was the issue and hand watered and upped the length of time. Finally, in like August or September I was doing something and noticed nothing was running when that zone was on... I'm still working to bring that back and fill in, but it's slowly spreading stolons to fill in where winter weeds took over.
Rick is a DUDE 👍🏿
This video came in clutch bro! Yard wasn't looking to hot and was trying to figure out what i should do. Once again yardbrah saves the day! Seriously thank you for this video!
Whole neighborhood is on fire with the lawns man. Awesome to see. Rick needs to get on that scissor game for his edges ✂️. Regardless YardBrah is putting in work and that’s awesome to see man. Congrats on the growth of the channel 🤙
Hey Rick! Your lawn looks great.
Hey yardBrah, still loving the truck. Wanted to let you know if you don't already, LMC Truck specializes in excessories for old rides. They carry anything and everything you could want for it. 🤙
Keep killing it my dude! Love seeing your videos pop up in my feed!
Look at ALL THAT SUNSHINE without that tree!!!! NICE.......
What's up bro hope your day's awesome
Botj Rick's yards are smokin'!! Solar screens on those back windows will prevent the glare from reflecting on the yard...
Man one thing that I've noticed with these batteries is that although it says that it's fully charged, if you haven't used them in a while then they are drained a bit. You can unplug them n plug them back in and see that they will start charging again. I guess the charger doesn't keep them topped off
I believe that patch on the curb is due to lack of water and it’s going dormant. Just water it by hand it should come back in a couple weeks. Mind you I commented before you mentioned your sprinkler was off. It’s funny how you freak out over a lil yellowing and automatically reseed. it’s natural my dude with some love and more water will be back in now time (patience).
I mowed my lawn today, I wish it was Washington weather, but I live in South Texas 😰
Aye YB its been a tough summer for me as well.
I thought i had fungus until i put a soil probe in the lawn. At least i tried to put a soil probe in. I had some serious dry areas and couldnt even break surface. My lawn is in desperate need of aeration. Gonna have to wait til fall, just too hot🥵so for now i just put down some soil loosener from lawn solutions. I would love to have an Amick😢
The Brahhhh mobile I use to have a 1970 but it was an automatic trans.
Great content Brah🤙🏽
So far, you haven't mentioned if it's been hot and dry lately. Maybe you will so we'll know if that's the cause. Yards are looking pretty ragged around the KC area also.
It was a full almost 3 weeks no rain.... average temps were high 70's but reaching 80's some days. Hot and dry for sure... we just got major rainfall yesterday thank the Lord 😊🤙🏾
@@YardBrah Whoa! 3 weeks with no rain is a LONG time. My clay soil would turn to concrete.
I need to fly you down to Louisiana so you can make a video called “lets try to save this shitty centipede in 95 degree weather”
Let’s go!!
Bro I had my yard looking amazing. Then the heat came in and ugh hard to figure this stuff out. I went and thought I was doing an awesome job water but nope looks like the Grand Canyon. I just had the complete system replaced.
First comment!!! Keep bringing the heat!! 🔥
Letsss goooo!!!
First watch and comment! This is a first for me. 😂🎉
Les GOOOOOO!
And the first one
Dude @yardbrah take the battery cover off the sun Joe. It will keep them cooler and you will get a long run with it.
I’m in Central California where it’s between 100-106, with good ol Fescue grass. Should I still verticut monthly during summer with a cold season grass during the California summer?
I mean a very tall verticut and a major watering and fertilizer after wouldn't hurt... if you didn't already do one... but if it's good to go and you're watering a ton just keep watering and fertilizing and wait to verticut once you see cooler temps for a week ☺️🤙🏾
Isn't verticutting going to stir up the weed seeds?
It totally can you're right... but that's what our post emergent is for 😊🤙🏾
You need a bigger garage. You know Ego has a mini e-bike.
DId you dethatch (with the rake cartridge or the verticut blades) at the lowest settings or highest? What's your daily temps? I want to dethatch but am worried I might cause damage to my fescue lawn, I'm in NJ. Keep up the great work!
Blades for sure... I only use tines on major overseeding or really messed up lawns. also just go high verticut tallest setting... if it's not enough go one setting lower and then don't do it again for another month 😊🤙🏾
What are your thoughts on something like the "All American Sharpener" branded guide for attaching your grinder to for sharpening blades? I maintain 9 acres so I can go through a number of blades in one season.
Love your content bro! One suggestion tho, please please don't use the lords name as a cuss word. You are so blessed I would love to see the blessings continue. Love ya bro.
Got you I'll use someone else's name in vain my bad I was super heated at myself for not charging my batteries... Lord knows I'm sorry 😅🤙🏾
No shame bro. Love you and what you're doing. Stay blessed!
Hey Yard brah how would you do this on a big lawn and no verta cutter or bagger ? But have a dethatcher and a shoot blocker?
First 🤙🏽
I’m contemplating doing my very first verticut or dethatch this weekend. Is there an ideal temperature for this? Im a little concerned about stressing the lawn. Any input would be great!
do a high verticut so you don't stress it out too much... if you didn't get out too much do one setting lower as the second pass then don't do it again for another month.... I verticut in any weather as long as you water a ton. Water deep after and fertilize if you can ☺️🤙🏾
@@YardBrah noted and appreciate the comments. I tried using the Corona manual aerator and it was quite challenging. So I’ve Applied Simple Lawn Solutions’ Liquid Soil Loosener yesterday and watered in for 20 mins after. In the hopes the soil will loosen a little so I can aerate better. I picked up a bag of Milorganite so I’ll spread that after verticut. Liquid Iron is on the way as well. Should I spray that too with milo? Cheers!
Do you like the Ryobi or sunjoe best? I was going to buy a verticutter
ego needs to make a reel mower and dethatcher
Sun Joe or The one you got from Amazon? Trying to save some money but willing to spend if it’s better? 😅
They are both good... but low key wish I had the wen here too 😅😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrahAwesome just what I wanted to hear haha! Thanks for the daily motivation 🍻
BRAH! Can't be letting these neighbors get curb appeal better than yours! time for them to come over and help a brother out! Jokes aside, even stressed out your lawn is billion times better than mine.
you replacing the corner tree with something else? seems blank without something cornerstone.
🥇🎉
First...?
Way too much watering once the grass has been established. Going to have fungus issues.
Orion X7? Is that the shitty robot mower?
