Whenever I listen to this track I think of one particular night in my childhood. It was a cool summer day in 1996 (I was seven), me and my brother had four of our best friends over for a sleepover. We literally did everything we wanted to do that day. We went hiking at this awesome state park, then played at the castle park. Then we went swimming which was followed by going to the video store and renting a few SNES games (this being one of them) and picking up pizza from the local pizza parlor in town. We came back and played the shit out of those games, especially this one because of the co-op. This track captures everything about that night and I will never forget it.
Cool anecdote. For me, it was the middle of 2 weeks off from school, around xmas time, 1992. A friend of my brother's had rented Turtles in Time and Super Double Dragon (a new release at the time!), and took them with him when he came over. We played both for hours that afternoon. It was awesome! The music really takes you back, doesn't it?
Nice story! For me it was renting this game and playing it with my friend after school (around 95-96 too). It was only a couple of hours that one day but it stuck with me!
Bad Dudes had a beastie soundtrack too... DD1&2 were also bad ass... But I agree w you... Super Turrican level 1 stage 3 had the best run and gun beat ever!!! Check it out ASAP
It reminds me of something that could be in a Jean Claude Van Damme 90's Karate movie. Someone needs to make a rendition of this song stuck over the last fight scene in Bloodsport, sound effects & all. Tell me it wouldn't be perfect!
Easily the best song of the entire game. The soundtrack is great on this game, but damn it all this track always got me so hyped whenever I played this game as a kid. The moment I saw my brother and I spawn onto the top of that truck and the music started, it was time to beat some ass. I was always so sad that this stage was relatively short compared to the rest of the stages because this music was next level. On another note, this is also one of my favorite beat em up games of all time. Grabbing an opponents arm and kicking him in the face repeatedly is one of the most satisfying things a human being can experience on this earth. Thanks for uploading the extended version of this. I’ve had this song on so many different playlists throughout my life, and an extended version is absolute perfection.
In the Japanese game, this song was the final mission song. A real shame that in the international version they changed the subject of place. It is much more epic there and can be heard for much longer.
Truly, the soundtrack of this game inspired a little comic I drew all the damn time in high school lol. It later became a little beat-em-up game, which we called Epidemic of Violence lol. I will definitely remake it.
MrWiesspet but it's just it sounds so damn epic I mean you wish if you had to fight 100 guys this song would come on and you would feel like you could win lol
I remember when I came from France to live with my correspondent from Quebec, I was 10 years old 92´ and I saw this game for the first time in a video and game rental, I was crazy, I took it right away and we played non-stop
Used to LOVE this game when I was 11 back in 1993. My favorite move was trapping the enemy's arm and repeatedly kicking them in the face. Used to rent this all the time.
This music really brings back memories. It has the magical power of stucking my eyes to the end of a sunset reddish horizon and dreaming about what I haven't been able to grasp, about all that I've let slip out of my hands while I stare into the "time telescope"
Bought it on release day and to this day have never played a better Double Dragon. Like so many other posts here I literally have hundreds of excellent memories of this game.
Esta música aprovecho la capacidad técnica de la Super Nintendo. En mi humilde opinión, para mí este es el mejor Double dragon de la saga en los formatos de 16 Bits.😊
My brother and I loved this music and part of the game so much. It inspired one part of the brawler game we created back in high school (which will be remade). You end up having to fight on the truck, you helped get back from this trucker, who is a bit of a fanatic about his truck, even having it modified, which caught the interest of this gang, who also deal in human trafficking, and found the truck a perfect transporter for their goods... The character and his truck are obviously inspired by the movie, "Big Trouble in Little China" lol The gang is actually in bed with a terrorist organization, that had been kidnapping people for slave labor. This terror organization is actually the main enemy in another story/game. As the truck is going through the city, you have assassins running on rooftops and jumping down onto the truck, it was so damn fun!
I loved this, always thought it was a bite off of Bad Dudes. You wonder what that driver must've been thinking. "Fucking Double Dragons fighting on my rig, HEY, WATCH THE PAINT JOB"!!
This track could be in a Jean Claude Van Damme 90's Karate movie. Someone needs to make a rendition of this song stuck over the last fight scene in Bloodsport, sound effects & all. Tell me it wouldn't be perfect!

The 90's were a great time to be a kid!
Whenever this plays..... A single manly tear falls from my eye for all of the Soldiers I killed on top of that truck.💯💯💪🏾🕊️😥
So many victims 🙏🏾🙏🏾😂😂😂
Lmao 🤣 rip soldiers 🙏
Thank you for your service. 🫡
On me they was jumping from the time the game started, no love!!!
Best running music ever made
best stage in a beat'em up too
Bad Dudes had a beastie soundtrack too... DD1&2 were also bad ass... But I agree w you... Super Turrican level 1 stage 3 had the best run and gun beat ever!!! Check it out ASAP
That karate kid flute rides the beat

Criminally Underrated Game Ever Release
The manly way Billy and Jimmy walks makes PERFECT sync with this music
This is the best music I've ever heard. I love double dragon
The very best soundtrack of Double Dragon series, full of power and passion! Let's go and fight!

Joseph Ornelas I'm think of make a longer version soon.
Hell yeah to me the game started at this point... sadly we never made far past it after the truck crash lol
Agreed! This track stands out as being the best of the OST.
In the Japanese game, this song was the final mission song. A real shame that in the international version they changed the subject of place. It is much more epic there and can be heard for much longer.
I can honestly still hear Billy cracking those folks over the crown
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's like a 80s energic pop song. This is very nostalgic.
Yea. Like the music u hear in the movie Scarface lol
Still inspired by this track to this day. Really incredible what game soundtrack artists could do under such constraints
My favorite track on this classic game. Beautiful music my generation rocked.
Truly, the soundtrack of this game inspired a little comic I drew all the damn time in high school lol. It later became a little beat-em-up game, which we called Epidemic of Violence lol. I will definitely remake it.
The nostalgia hit hard on this one! Feels like I need to embark on one of those hardcore alleys beatings!
This song was made to tap into your nostalgia
I love this song I never stop listening to this song this song never gets old P.S. this song is like driving in the daytime
Lifehack: listen to this while driving on the freeway.... youll thank me later
Listen to this while with a girl thank me later
Listen to this while streaking through the hood, you'll thank me later.
Bad idea. If you listen to this while driving on the freeway, you'll end up crashing into a wall.
About the crash... Hahahahahahahs
I do when I can! I look for people brawling on top of trucks too 😂
This song is also in the new game Double Dragon Gaiden. I was like 🥹 hearing this song again. Very good game, a love letter for Double Dragón fans.
Best song in the game tbh
the skelesquid Yep by far.
MrWiesspet what makes this song so damn good I mean it is but I can't put my finger on it 🤔
The Man 316 it's a great track from a great old school beat em up game.
MrWiesspet but it's just it sounds so damn epic I mean you wish if you had to fight 100 guys this song would come on and you would feel like you could win lol
The Man 316 oh fuck ya I would win.
I remember when I came from France to live with my correspondent from Quebec, I was 10 years old 92´ and I saw this game for the first time in a video and game rental, I was crazy, I took it right away and we played non-stop

Music to my ears.
Rohan Padiyar it is music in both our ears lol.
Music is sooooooo important to immersion in any medium🙏🏽. They dont get it.🍇 Many a Hours playing this game
Nostalgic
and i believe this is the reason they kept this track for the final level
PAL version this is the stage 4 or 5 (the one on top of the truck) music
@polatbedirkan7257 that's how it is in the international versions.
Freaking love this song. I tried to write a similar tune. But just doesn't have that same feel lol.
This music plays during the final level in the Japanese version of Super Double Dragon.
Two things that always remind me of my childhood are this game and the movie starship troopers.
Esta música aprovecho la capacidad técnica de la Super Nintendo. En mi humilde opinión, para mí este es el mejor Double dragon de la saga en los formatos de 16 Bits.😊
I randomly remembered this song when I heard Michael Jackson's "Beat It"
Sounds like what you could've heard on Smooth Jazz radio!
I can't stop listening to this. This is awesome thank you for sharing/uploading 👍

One of my absolute favorite snes games growing up really wish Nintendo would add this game to the other snes classics I’d be playing this everyday
Fingers crossed!
No Dislikes. This must say this way for all eternity.
well, shit, there is one
I agree with you 💯
I can just hear the swooping and snapping of the konbo staff as it strikes an enemy, as well as the “CRASH!” at the near end of the stage.
Great song 😊
I loved this, always thought it was a bite off of Bad Dudes. You wonder what that driver must've been thinking. "Fucking Double Dragons fighting on my rig, HEY, WATCH THE PAINT JOB"!!
The game played a little slower than I would have like but the combat was solid and that music was fantastic!
I'm told if you emulate, you can step up the framerate a bit. Zsnes.
This track could be in a Jean Claude Van Damme 90's Karate movie. Someone needs to make a rendition of this song stuck over the last fight scene in Bloodsport, sound effects & all. Tell me it wouldn't be perfect!
This is how u make a soundtrack for you worms, germz, and jabroniez!!!! Take noteznfrom the 90s bae bae!!!!!!!❤
Sounds like an A-ha song
I love this theme. It screams never say die!!
Beautiful song
I listen to this driving on Euro Truck Sim thinking of the scrap that’s going off on the trailer 👊🏻
3rd floor of 2054....mad nights from 92-95 whoopin ass on that truck as a youngin. 6-9 year old me had a nice childhood
These 8 bit tracks are so good and nostalgic
This is actually 16-bit.
Totally awesome!
Perfect ost for a credits roll,it's so fitting and I like it.
15 minutes. I need 15 hours of this song. Got me shaking my ass all often the place
神秘的な音楽に私の心は癒やされます🤩ちなみに私はジミー・リーが好きです😍🌸
"what do you want to do when you grow up?"
"Well gee Dad, I wanna roam up and down streets beating up bad guys, isn't that what the world is...?"
Originally, this was supposed to be the Mission 6 theme.
No 1 track 👍👍
I remember going to blockbuster video to rent this and super star wars
One of the best music game ever
thank-you
Sounds like an 1980's Stevie Wonder hit.
Soooorta hearing it
nice my childhood
Wish I had a time machine, I still own this game though and I'm gonna get it from my moms house in a few weeks
One day we'll get a rerelease of this game.... ONE DAY! especially since we're seeing a new Influx of Beat em ups ❤️
This lvl was too short lol
For some strange reason double dragon advances did not have this music. Despite having part of the stage in the game.
Thanks Skjmin...
WATCH OUT FOR THE KNIFE!!!!!
Anyone who like music like this needs to listen to the Jackie Chan OST for nes or pc engine
Mi infancia ❤ junto al nes snes 64 ps1 legendarios ❤
Oh yes.
I wonder how this theme would sound on the Yamaha DX-7.
King of fighting games
That song is awesome
Such a double dragon song that it's in double dragon#SpikeandHammer
nice ost 😄
*puh puh puh, puh puh puh puh*- HAUGH!!!!
I want this game on xbox live so bad.
that's tight!!!
It’s just on Bad Dudes truck stage
it sounds like megaman 7
best theme of the game, just sucks that in the American copy that most of us have played, its wasted on the shortest stage of the game.
Agreed. Same thing with Neon Night-Riders in TMNT IV: Turtles in Time. Great song wasted on a short stage.
hey by any chance can you do the the ending credits extended for this game that one is good too
Bruuuuhhh. Dope
Sorry dopeness
Classic
That chain on those nunchucks is WAY too long
No.5
😑🔥
The music is a bit repetitive, but still the best song in the game.
Brian Edwards BOO THIS MAN! Haha
why? hes not wrong. its repetitive but like he said, still one of the best in the game
Repetative and videogame music is like PB&J
Rock clássico para vencer com Deus
