    Mr. Denny in my humble opinion I think there is more fishermen than fish.😄I understand everyone has to make a living, we also have to think of the future. Give the baby fish a chance to grow. Other solution, farm raised. Always enjoy your trips, especially the ocean.🙏🏽

    Denny, yes I agree with you, overfishing is a threat to many species of fish especially the bluefin tuna. UN pointed out that China and US are two most overfishing nations in the world. However scientists do believe that climate change is also responsible for the shrinking of the fish population. Truly a nice adventure.

    Well said concerning the fishing season!

  • @bysonchi
    @bysonchi ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Guyana's government needs to regulate the fishing industry by setting standards of catch. No catch beyond a certain size, no catching of fish during spawning and certain seasons, and educating fishermen on the need to conserve. That's the only way they can have a future.

      That is how they doe it in Dominica u can't fish and hunt in certern places only on different season of the year.but I understand when a country don't have much jobs the people don't have a joice but to clean the rivers to catch fish even if the fish is small

    I've been looking at your informative, entertaining and breathtaking videos for some years now. Parika market, Lusignan, Mon Repos, Mahaica Creek, Orealla, Essequibo Coast and so many more countless ones. What I observed about this video in particular is the safety regulations. I ask myself why is it so difficult for a fisherman working on high seas to wear a life jacket. You've personally promoted safety by wearing yours but I wish you could use your influence to encourage a greater sense of safety too. Tell Captain Blackbody he needs one too.

    • @ITSOURLIFEARD
      @ITSOURLIFEARD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The kind of jackets available in Guyana are not fishermen friendly. The fish net can easily get tangled with the jackets and drag the fisherman overboard. They would need a special jacket I would suggest

    Good morning, where do the fishermen store their fishes when the do not sell all. Do they have to rent a freezer, so they can sell it the next day.

  • @GlobetrottingSuccess
    @GlobetrottingSuccess ปีที่แล้ว

    Research indicates that oil-related activities give rise to grave concerns, as they imperil the sustainability, development, and productivity of both fish populations and their respective ecosystems. Despite the manifold economic benefits linked with oil exploration and production, the lack of effective environmental management has yielded unfortunate repercussions across crucial sectors of the economy, particularly the fisheries industry. Moreover, these factors are speculated to contribute to the potential threat of Georgetown facing sinking issues.

    No, the fish is not disappearing from the Atlantic Ocean, but the oil drilling will no doubt affect the pristine waters of Guyana. The oil drilling will be devastating to the shrimp industry. Peace.

    Let me tell you, from all the reports I heard, you have to have a strong stomach otherwise you´d be puking like crazy. Just as you said: pay the fishermen for their fish, it is not an easy job and it is dangerous as well. The way that boat was rocking on the waves you have to be accustomed to that not to be afraid that the boat might capsize.

    • @ITSOURLIFEARD
      @ITSOURLIFEARD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed it’s a risky job. I almost puked 🤮

    I see in foreign countries people make Artificial environment under the sea for fish to live so fishermen always can get fish
    Industrial Development and offshore drilling for oil creates pollution in the sea so fish will not live in those areas.

  • @trevden7665
    @trevden7665 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    With all those oil vessels dumping waste into the sea the fish taste might change..

  • @ricardotulsie
    @ricardotulsie ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No it's not that it's the climate change and the water is sometimes hot so normally you would think fish will come in the fish season but no it's going to change to my perspective

    danny fishes are not disappearing, it's over fishing in guyana, catching too many baby fishes , in other caribbean countries they monitor the catch and some are seasonal fishing, meaning let the babies grow and reproduce. but our people always bout dhal rice and fry fish, especially the gilbaka, butter fifh and banga are being taken out too small. y'all be safe the most dangerous job is fishing in deep rough waters ,people ya must pay the price when buying stop crying big up to all the guys
