Don't expect these people to help poor people they feel they should spend it the way they want to they have no regard for the suffering of people. They would rather buy a expensive mansion they barely use, that has twenty rooms, and they don't even walk in half of them. While complaining humanity is destroying the environment when they have wasted resources on big mansions, and things they don't need. They would rather pay thousands of dollars on ugly clothes, and purses they use one time it seems. There are cheaper things that look a hell of a lot better. This is the disease of narcissism everything has to be perfect even if it looks ridiculous to the rest of us, but anyway I hope one day they snap out of it, and find the real truth out there. Help others instead of giving to just charity that is apart of the organizations that control them. There is so much they could do, but their image is not as good as they think. I'm happy some did help if they did.

I'm not guessing, because Europeans have built this way for decades. If you want to live in a little grass shack, that's your choice, but there are inexpensive ways of doing it properly. And an interesting side note:............ If you look at the ship routes of the slave ships during the Trans Atlantic slave trades, its interesting to note that if you look at the paths of hurricanes for as long as anyone has been tracking this information, it might shock you to know that all of these hurricanes form off the coast of Africa, and they all travel the same pathways that the slave ships traveled. 🤔

What has happened in the Bahamas is indescribable and should never happen again. However, if anyone in the devastated area is reading this, you should not give up and show your not going to give up and begin to rebuild as soon as possible. This is how mankind has survived this long by not letting nature defeat us. I would recommend using stone and/or concrete for the homes during rebuilding and make you homes hurricane resistant or proof if you can. To eat you can use the sea during reconstruction. I would also recommend the construction of large hurricane PROOF shelters using stone or rock native to the region and/or concrete. If you want to survive the next big hurricane you need to do this. Buildings do not have to have wooden roofs and steel roofing would work much better. Welding steel roof panels to a steel subframes anchored with heavy steel bolts to the stone, rock or concrete walls would secure the roof from coming off in high winds of over 300 mph. Build the new homes on mounds of sand or dirt surrounded by a concrete foundation a mound system that could be as high as 8 meters/feet to avoid flooding. The stone or rock could be quarried from the surrounding mountains on the island or use coral stone being only 24 to 36 inches in length by 18 inches wide or larger. Wood will not due here and its hard work but it would be worth it in the longer run. The new stone or rock structures could be quite comfortable and be very appealing in appearances too and best of all SAFER. We did this kind of thing thousands of years ago and the structures are still usable and quite good looking too. Make your island and its buildings unique and indestructible. I'am from Europe and this is what we did to survive countless attacks by nature building pyramids and many other indestructible buildings still used today across the European Continent. You should not run from it but look at it as a challenge and don't let nature defeat you there are plenty of resources on your island that are just waiting to be used.

You are so right. On a serious note: billions of dollars were stolen. Imagine the payoffs in order to do that. After all, the Clinton's net worth is somewhere around 134M. Now you know how people in politics retire as millionaires on government salaries. There are a lot of palms to grease in order to steal 100M. That's why no one goes to prison. It's like the Post Office scandal. It transcends party lines.
