    I suggest to make that bike more comfortable you add front suspension forks and possibly a springer seat, and if you want it to be more fuel efficient I would suggest a stage 1 kit, it allows the bike to breathe better, which makes it have better fuel efficiency. If you want the bike to be better on the trails, or even wheely, you could 212 swap it with a predator or a tilitson, with a stage 1 kit and a torque converter, and if you don't want to swap out from the 196 that is on there, I still suggest the stage 1 kit and the torque converter
    Edit:
    I would at least suggest you bypass or remove the governor, you will see a gain in a few mph

    • @Tommy06235
      @Tommy06235 ปีที่แล้ว

      isn’t there a screw that u can remove and it lets the throttle go farther

    • @Singh_1989
      @Singh_1989 ปีที่แล้ว

      @speedymuffin1759 yes, there is a stop screw that you can remove. It doesn't do much because the governor still kicks in. I recently got one of these Colemans and bypassed the governor. I however will be doing everything else I suggested to it too.

  • @420face
    @420face 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’ve had one for over three years just a couple months ago the clutch started slipping so I put a torque converter on her. Does 42 miles an hour and will absolutely go anywhere u want to go. Someday I might put 21 inch tires instead of the stock 19s. Everything is so simple it’s like everyone should have one as their first bike

      Mine does awesome it would easily take an adult up a slight hill, doesent steer very quickly, on sharp turns you may need to drag the bike a little, and there’s no suspension which can hurt your back, even for a 14 year old like me.

  • @AlaskaWild
    @AlaskaWild 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Was this stock? Suspension on bumps? I read where it’s brutal off-road is why I amazing.

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The bike in the video looks stock. The tires are the suspension and need carefully inflated. Too much air and it's very harsh, too little air and it gets too bouncy. Coleman sells a pretty nice front suspension kit for the 200U but it's a bit pricy with shipping.
      I have two of these bikes close to 8 years now. Pretty bad ass bikes after engine mods, torque converter and better gearing. I'm just north of 60 years old and can still handle moderately rough terrain on them. One of my bikes has the suspension kit. It helps.
      Coleman's top line 200 model has front and rear suspension with disc brakes. May be a better choice than these 200U's.

    I bought one for my 11 year old. Been nothing but trouble. Chain problems from day one. Can't let him get to far from the house because more than once he has had to push it home. The warranty sucks. Got it from tractor supply. Throttle cable is broken now. 2nd time. Order is online. Should get any day now. What next?

    I love the retro look of this mini bike. I went with the BT200X because I'm a big guy and needed the stronger frame but I'd get one of the CT200U-A just to have it in a collection.

      Does it still go good up hills.i am a little concerned about the weight capacity (I'm 6 ft 240 lbs )

    • @Buses2Bikes
      @Buses2Bikes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blakejohnson344 The BT200X? For guys our size it struggles with the 196 unmodified in any way. I did the typical throttle screw mod and zip tied the governor and it helped a little. Then I did the holes in the air box and straight pipe exhaust and that didn't do much. The real difference was a new HIPO carburetor that allowed adjustments and jet swaps and a torque converter. Now it zips along just fine and climbs fairly decent inclines. Just gotta keep in mind it's a 196CC motor and there's only so much it can do no matter how much $$ you throw at it.

      Tractor Supply and Walmart. You can order them on the website or bikes similar to them. I like that one with the headlight that Tractor Supply has, but it's like 700 or 800 bucks. I'd like to find a used bike for around $200.

    hey, I've been watching your channel for a while, and I love your videos. I live in northern Ontario and it's clear from your video that the terrain over here is more extreme than the trails you were riding in this video so I'm worried about the ground clearance. I want a Coleman ct-200-u because of the reliability, tires, and weight. I ride ATVs but I mostly solo ride so getting stuck in a mud puddle is a hard situation to get out of so I want something that is easier to maneuver and lift, and also smaller so I can go around the puddles if needed. would you recommend this mini bike for where I live or not? edit: I am 10 minutes away from a place called Ardbeg so there are a bunch of videos showing the terrain I ride.
