    From previous comments advise I cleaned out the tracks first with water and white vinegar, wiped them down then sprayed silicone wd40 in the tracks, let it sit for 5 mins, wiped it off and now my passenger side goes up faster than the driver side😂gonna have to do the other one now to even them out! Thank you so much, I was ready to take the whole side door panel off😊

    If you have access to high power air pressure, blow your tracks out a bit , loosen any surface loose dirt off before application of lubricant 👍😉

    I am glad you are using a silicone based WD 40 rather than the Petroleum based WD 40! I am a retired Ryder mechanic and since 2000 WD 40 petroleum base sprays was BANED in all shops and I heard Penske shops as well. What you didn't add was to spray silicone spray on CV boots and the boots on rack & pinion steering ends as well. Silicone spray keeps rubber/neoprene components flexible.

    • @brucesteger2699
      @brucesteger2699 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@harryharry3193 petroleum based sprays deteriorate rubber/neoprene products and evaporates on wear surfaces many times in days! It was fine when there was nothing else in the 50’s when it came on the market but no more. Silicone spray with Teflon is the best in my book.

    From what I understand, their spray is dries to a filmy layer as apposed to being traditional greasy/oily silicone. I guess this particular formulation is better for tracks, wheels.

    I think spraying on the upper horizontal track is not a good idea. It will add the lube to the glass edge when closing, and those lube will be transferred to the bottom edge when closing, and when re-opening its gonna spread over the entire glass. You will have a greasy glass which will take weeks to fully recover. It happened to me. So don't do it, it's gonna mess your shutters.

    I csnt see what you're spraying😢...I just see your hand, the can & outside the window.
    I think because you are holding the camera AND doing the spraying.😢

      Hey, it’s not my fault some people could mess up a glass of water, also a 10 year old also knows how to write a sentence with proper spelling and grammar.

      Pretender doing simple things look complicated. Your grammar is worse than your car knowledge. Newbies.
