I agree that dupes are great and I own so many, myself, but makeup is my thing and I like luxury sometimes. Even if there is a perfectly good dupe available. There are so many things I won’t spend money on for myself but, if every morning I have a few minutes of something that makes me feel special and worth it, that’s okay. I don’t judge anyone who chooses another way to get that feeling. Or who doesn’t feel the need to experience that, at all. Nobody needs to justify anything to me or anyone else.
I am so old that I remember when Wet 'n Wild makeup came out with polish and then other makeup. It was the cheap stuff that teens bought. As a teen we could afford to buy 20 bright colors to do the 80's color-blocked eyes plus you could get a black liner pencil for a buck so when you heat it with your lighter and gob it on your waterline you can afford to get more. LOL They have come a long way... and so have we! Great review!
Do you remember back in the late 80's early 90's the lip liner 666 was a supermodel favorite and mentioned all the time in seventeen magazine. It was always sold out!!
My favorite red polish was from WnW. It was a deeper red. It had a number not a name. I threw it away not super long ago. I wish I kept it. I had a red silk blouse I wore with a denim wrap skirt. The nail polish matched my outfit perfectly.
I'm 45 with dry skin. Do you think they'd be good for me? I've really been wanting to find a good light coverage foundation and I'm always on the lookout for a nice brightening concealer that doesn't make my undereye area look worse.
I've fallen sooooo in love with the tinted hydrator that I've bought two backups... I DO NOT want to risk that they get a wild hair and pull it from production... As long as I prep my skin really well (dry skin type so I prep w the elf luminous putty mixed w a primer oil) it turns out so glowy (not dewy, not oily) and skin like... I'm just in love so hard with it!! 🥰🥰 Edit sidenote: if you wanna build up the coverage, I suggest letting the first application dry down a bit before adding more product... It layers on itself really, really well that way... Putting it down when the first layer is still a bit wet kinda moves around the first layer of coverage a bit.
@@sheena3913 light medium is my fave shade and undertone... but when I was first shopping I picked up light and medium and medium tan, too... so as to not waste the other shades, I just mix them all together in varying amts and it turns out usable, as well ... but light medium is def the best for me and my fave
I’ve been using the impossible primer, tinted hydrator and the concealer for about a month now and I am really enjoying all of the products. Impossible primer works really well for my dry skin bc it doesn’t cause my foundation to cling to the dry rosacea on my cheeks.
I was thinking that I haven’t really tried Wet’n Wild’s eyeshadows, but I just realized that I literally use one everyday and have for years...the single Brulee...I bought so many when I thought they could be discontinued!
You’re sitting on a goldmine! The formulation changed so the color looks different on me. I miss my old Brûlée! Sigh. I have a Tarte shade in a palette that looks similar. I’m always trawling eBay for the old Brûlée but the prices are too dear. Hold onto those Brûlée pans, darling! 😘
The Tinted Hydrator is amazing, even with those who want a little more coverage (not full) but nice medium coverage! I reviewed it on my channel and I have more pigmentation to cover than Jessica does!
I'm so obsessed with their tinted hydrator.. legit haven't warn anything else since getting it. LOVE IT! For me, the best application is using a dry sponge to get a medium coverage
I have been using the tinted hydrator for the past couple of weeks. I have oily skin and very large pores. This product is AMAZING! Makes my skin look so healthy and smooth! And it wears soooo nice throughout the day. I LOVE IT!!! Sn: I do set it with loose powder
I love their vlogs. I wish I could leave comments on Tyler’s channel. I want to seriously ask him if there is ANYTHING he CANT do?! Lol! He’s truly a jack of all trades!
I am LOVING the new launches from the drugstore! Some of my ride or die products are drugstore and I can't wait for my whole collection to be drugstore again! Way more affordable and just as good as high end!
I just had to put my dog down yesterday and hearing you speak to your dog was so sweet. ❤️ I used to tell my boy how handsome he was. When I’m healed I can’t wait to own another dog again. ❤️
I was pleasantly surprised with the tinted hydrator! It makes my skin look so fresh and healthy. I don’t wear too much to work since I wear a mask but I’ll put it on and set it. The fill my brows and mascara and I’m done. I also have super sensitive skin and it doesn’t break me out. Such a win!
Hey Jess, I adore the Wet & Wild tinted hydrator. I bought it on a whim one day when I took my son shopping at 5 Below. At that time, I hadn’t heard anyone review it, but I figured if I hated it for 5 bucks, I wasn’t out much. But I ended up loving it and I use it regularly. I remember the first time I used it I was like, “this is …wow! Why is no one talking about this?” And then like 2 weeks later I started hearing the buzz about it. It wears on my dry/combo/mature skin so well. Now I need to try the concealer and the shadows. They are already in my Ulta cart. Thank you for your first impressions. I hope you continue to enjoy the products. Hi to Tyler, Gigi, and Pinocchio. Hugs, Brenda 💄💄
First impressions are always good, but it's usually about the wear time. Does the eyeshadow fade or the concealer make you look like crap during the day
Jess frequently does Speed Reviews every couple months where she will usually talk about products that were in first impressions and that she tests out for the next month, and she’ll go into wear time and that kind of stuff 🙂
I agree! I would love to see a clip at the end of the day to check in on how things wore throughout the day. Sometimes waiting for a speed review seems like a long time to wait when you are contemplating a purchase!
I have been using the wet n wild tinted moisturizer for a few weeks and absolutely love it! I've found you can get complete medium coverage if you use a brush ( I use the elf ultimate blending brush) and stipple and then add another layer and then go over everything with a sponge to pick up any excess 👍.
I'm 45 and have loved so many wet n wild products since my teens. You can't beat the price point & that they are cruelty free is a plus. Can't wait for your opinion on the Neutrogena concealer you bought in your vlog. I happen to love it & I'm a medium coverage fan too. Plus I'm older and I think it works great for my skin.
I haven't watched any of your videos in a while (been slacking on a lot of my makeup folks recently) and I so enjoyed hanging out with you today! You are so sweet, silly, down to earth, and I know you're always genuine! I appreciate you, Jessica. (:
In my mid to late 40's and this WnW tinted moisturizer in fair and the incognito concealer in light beige have become treasured favorites! Gives me the perfect amount of coverage and looks beautiful. When I pair them with the L'Oreal age perfect blurring primer, I swear my skin looks like it did over 20 years ago! Because they're all so affordable, I was even able to stock up with a couple of extra tubes of each as well. Loving all the drugstore products lately
The wet and wild tinted moisturizer is so so so good I love it so much it looks amazing on my 42 year old skin.. I bought doubles and one for my summer shade. Also the sponges are really good as.well.
I love the $3.99 darker pink wet n wild sponge--it is actually my fav-nice and soft, love the slanted side and tip. Also the tinted hydrator does come in more shades--fair, fair light, light, light medium, if you need additional choices in the lighter side options. (although "light medium" pic looks lighter than "light", so I went with " light medium".) Will have to check out once I get to a store.....
Trying to order online and I too saw "light" looks darker than "light medium". Have you seen them in store to help direct? I'm looking for something that would be a normal light neutral tone. The fair Jessica uses in this video would be too light for me. I saw there's also a fair-light option. Why can't someone show them all swatched side by side or on wet n wild's website! :)
I definitely think you might like the tinted hydrated more if you applied it with your fingers, I know that it seems strange but the coverage is better when you don’t use a sponge or a brush, at least for me. And I typically always use a brush. Have a great day! 🙂🙃
Did you guys used to though? I was there for a family vacation in 2001 and remember my mom buying a few WNW pieces 😄. I believed for the longest time that Wet n' Wild the water park sold their own make up too 😆.
Loved this, really helpful! Video idea - walk through your favorite eyeshadow palettes from your favorite brands and tell us why they are favorites - which are most buttery, smoothest application, longest lasting, least fallout, best colors, etc. Might be fun!💜
I'm just so grateful that you show such respect to affordable products. I've seen a couple of negative reviews on the eyeshadows, but I knew I would get the "real story" from you. I do have one request.... if you could use a brush to apply foundation on one side of your face? Just for those of us who like more coverage and use brushes! Thanks so much!!❤️❤️💋
Hey Jess! I just got my Warby Parker Esme glasses delivered last night and OMG , I love them! 😍 Thank you so much for recommending them! I needed new glasses and I trust your product reccomendations. I'm so happy I ordered them! ❤
I LOVE the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator! Looks incredible and lasts all day even with wearing a mask. I like to apply with my fingers and then smooth out with a sponge ❤️
When I think of Walking on Eggshells I think of you. You’re the reason I bought that palette years ago. Eventually I tossed it out it was so old and I’m excited to get the new 5 pan one. And probably the other one too 😉
I try not to get attached to any beauty products because companies are always discontinuing or "new and improving" things. The best BB cream I have ever used was Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream, the fragrance was wonderful, the feel of it was amazing and it made my skin look phenomenal. Of course, they discontinued it and I have missed it ever since and I still think about it from time to time.
I just bought Lights Off in the 10 pan palettes. Omg, there’s a forest green that’s gorgeous!!! There’s one shade that doesn’t work well, but maybe if I get that first layer off. But the shades are really pretty.
I'm so thankful for your drugstore videos. I seen the tinted moisturizer at Target yesterday and since it was only 4.99 I picked it up. I got in the car and checked TH-cam so that I could watch a review later & your new video popped up. Which is great because just watched ur elf video and got the CC cream from that lol. I was like yes queen keep reviewing that drug store makeup
I feel like the tinted moisturizer was a great match and then when you put the powder foundation on it changed. But that totes could be just how it comes across on camera.
The drugstore has been KILLING it lately! I'm really looking to try out the tinted hydrator, it looks stunning on you! Another amazing video, love you Jess! I honestly look up to yo like a role model 😊
AOA studios from shop miss A’s BB cream in light is AMAZING! It reminds me so much of your favorites. It starts out looking grey also. My skin looks absolutely flawless like no other foundation or BB cream I’ve used. Light to true medium coverage. It’s also under $2. Paired with their concealer and OMG game changer.
I use this tinted moisturizer with a damp microfiber sponge (Real Techniques) and it’s a pretty solid medium coverage that way! BEAUTIFUL satin finish, too!
I noticed that the foundation seemed like a good color match for you until you added the infallible face powder. Is it possible that it was the powder foundation that made the tone darker?
The new L'oreal new creamy serum concealer is absolutely AWESOME. I have it in the shade ivory & wear it as a foundation & oh my goodness I am speechless. Would love to see what you think of it if you could do a review on it.
I got the notification for this while driving. I could not wait to get home to see what you thought of the tinted hydrater! And now, I need to get the concealer. Thanks for sharing! 😊
The pink wet n wild sponge is awesome and super soft! It doesn’t last that long before it starts falling apart but I’ve recently learned you’re not supposed to keep a sponge longer than a month or two anyway lol 😂 and it’s only like $3.50 at Walmart!
I LOVE the 5 pan walking on eggshells palette. It’s my dream perfect nude palette. I got the 10 pan nude awakening as well and am not quite as thrilled with it due to some shades being super similar and others more sheer than I wanted. Still quite good for the price. The tinted hydrator I expected to be sheer from reviews, but when I applied it with my fingers for the first time it was more coverage than I expected! Full medium to me. Sheer with a sponge. Quite happy with that flexibility. It has a nice soft matte effect on my normal-dry skin, and I felt it held what little oil I produce through the day very well. Really pleased with their new products
Wet and Wild has an amazing lipstick line called Mega Last High shine lip color. It is not glossy despite called "high shine; instead, it is a matte lipstick with a subtle natural sheen. Fragrance free and infused with jojoba oil. $1.99 on amazon. I bought one and absolutely love it and bought another two.
Please never stop trying so many drugstore/affordable products! I feel like so many of us can't justify buying from brands with higher price tags..

Agree! Also, so much of what we're paying for isn't the formula but the packaging.
Youve been mentioning a lot of brushes especially affordable ones lately and I’d LOVE and updated video of your favorite brushes
I heard a MUS day to try ELF and are the best (at a lower price point). You can get them separately and in a whole set (about $50 on Amazon).
jessica uses a lot of brushes from sephora and bdellium tools!
Powder foundation brushes? AFFORDABLE

Yes!! It’s my go to!

Omg I love that Mickey little pan
FYI...I’ve had the sea shanties in my head for about a week too! Right now I’ve got “Leave her Johnny” stuck in there. Love them so much!❤️
I noticed that the foundation seemed like a good color match for you until you added the infallible face powder. Is it possible that it was the powder foundation that made the tone darker?
I am loving all these drugstore videos!! 💜💙💚
I love your personality! Thanks for putting out great content that I want to come back for 💕
The elf brow wow is awesome. Great drugstore product.
I’m loving their tinted moisturizer!!!
The Wet n’ Wild pink sponge is my favorite sponge ever!
The new L'oreal new creamy serum concealer is absolutely AWESOME. I have it in the shade ivory & wear it as a foundation & oh my goodness I am speechless. Would love to see what you think of it if you could do a review on it.
I haven't seen any of these in stores yet! Shadows look really nice ....your eye look came out gorgeous 😍
I got the notification for this while driving. I could not wait to get home to see what you thought of the tinted hydrater! And now, I need to get the concealer. Thanks for sharing! 😊
The Wellerman. Yeah. Me too! Stuck on repeat.
Your eye lashes look amazing! I watch your videos all the time and this is the best I’ve seen them!!!!
The brow gel reminded me of colorpop. I think they try to give the “soap brows” feeling
Looking gorgeous Jess! Always love your eyeshadow reccos!
I was soooo impressed with there new tinted hydrator. It was beautiful on my skin
The pink wet n wild sponge is awesome and super soft! It doesn’t last that long before it starts falling apart but I’ve recently learned you’re not supposed to keep a sponge longer than a month or two anyway lol 😂 and it’s only like $3.50 at Walmart!
I love the Wet n Wild pink sponge for foundation and the orange sponge set for my concealer.
Love Walking on Eggshells. Thanks for linking your necklace. So pretty at a great price!!
Love the Moon gloss too!!!!!
