I don't know what it is about Gigi Hadid, but I absolutely adore her. I know she's paid by Maybelline, but I remember an interview with her and Bella when they first started really getting out there.and at that time Bella was naming a bunch of famous Makeup Artists and brands she "trusted" for her runway looks..and Gigi was all " I don't know, I just buy my makeup at the drugstore, whatever there".. and I think that's when I was like, " she's a real person".. lol..
The thing that I love about these videos is that Jessica tries new techniques, even when she isn't sure about them. So many people do the same thing every time and pretty soon, you know what they will say before they say it. Jessica is my favorite creator! She is honest about her reviews and leans more affordable because she is careful about her PR. Way to go, Jess!

I just found your channel recently and have been binging your videos ever since. Something I really appreciate about your videos, specifically with videos like this, is how you seem to really admire everyone’s personal beauty and how you’re so receptive to new ideas/techniques. A lot of people can be really critical when looking into someone else’s (especially a celebrities) routine and you are just so positive and kind! It’s refreshing. You’re just right in that beauty is so personal and it’s nice to appreciate that some people do things differently and we can all learn a thing or two :)
That eyeshadow palette is so incredible, especially given that I’ve never loved Maybelline’s shadow formulas. I also love the idea of mixing skincare products-I’m totally trying that tomorrow! I have the same issue with shadow in that upper corner of my eye. Allie Glines does that a lot as well and it looks stunning on her, but I never feel like it looks right on me-cant’ tell if it’s my eye shape, or if it actually looks great but it’s just different than what I’m used to. For what it’s worth I think your shadow looks fantastic!
I love that mascara! Quick tip: if you find it smudges on you, try skipping eye cream if you can. I found that if I use a light serum instead of an eye cream during the day, then that mascara wears beautifully 😊 which made me happy because it gives a gorgeous look.

I’ve tried many, many concealers, high end and drugstore, but that Maybelline one is my all time, everyday favorite. Nothing compares. They better never discontinue it!
A few people I follow always say that if they were a normal person and didn't do TH-cam for a living that they would use that concealer bc its just that good. I haven't used it since I was a teenager but all this talk about it has me wanting to try it again. I'm having a hard time liking a lot of high end concealers.

I've seen a couple of videos like this from others where it seems like all they wanted to do was criticize the original video "subject" instead of thoughtfully trying the routine. Ok, completely unexpected, but when you did her shadow technique with more in the inner part, it REALLY lifted your eye and looked amazing. Wow. I'm gonna have to try that! I completely disagree that it doesn't look good on you. It's so similar to your normal look, but just so fresh and beautiful and lively, if that makes sense. Def. keep these tips because they work great on ya!
I think its a nice change to see you with what feels like very thin layers in a less ‘eye heavy’ look. Liner is def your jam, but by no means does a lack of it not suit you. In fact, your face in general looks so lifted and effortless in this video. Even the tones are lovely on you, like a wash of watercolors instead of starker more defined colors. Its a great look on you if you end up feeling its vibes. ‘Hallo, gooo’geous’!

I love that Fenty highlighter brush. It’s highly angled to hug the contours of your face, so you only need the very smallest hint of product with it.
How one person contours isn’t how everyone should. Everyone has a different face shape - so contour to YOUR face shape.
I'm sure she knows that. She is just following a tutorial and as she said she doesn't typically contour
