    Instant follow man, what a killer video and great idea with the light switch cover. Looking forward to following your music journey!

    Good video's, man! Patch bays are great for pedalboards. In my next board there's also gonna be a USB hub for all of the computer editable pedals, so you only have to plug in one USB cable instead of multiple separate ones to connect all of them.

      That’s brilliant. I never considered patching everything through to one USB plug. Maybe I could’ve done that

    Awesome video and great explanations. Just FYI, the "D series" panel mount jacks you used spec a 24mm mounting hole. That additional 1.4mm to 1 inch can leave ya with a small amount of material to drill those 1/8 inch mounting holes. A metric step drill is a relatively inexpensive solution to get the exact spec hole. These are available online for about 15 bucks. BE SURE that the one you buy has 24mm! HTH!

      Good idea. I think I have one somewhere now that I think about it. Since this video, I’ve gotten a drill press too so in the future I would struggle so much with a hand drill. Working on stainless steel was tough.

    Looks slick! I hadn't thought of putting these features on my board, thanks for showing us something original and informative. One question: In this config, are you using the HX Stomp primarily for Amp + Cab sims? Maybe a compressor at the front? You mention using the FX loop, what do you have in front of that?

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On this board I just have the Wampler Terraform (modulation) and an Archer (klon-style overdrive, not shown in this video) going into the front of the stomp. Then I have all of my compression and overdrive and amp tones happening before the rest of the pedals on the board happen in the FX Loop. I’m mostly using my premium amp tone packages lately for this.

    CIOKs are the gratest power supplies since the invention of the outlet.

    Wow ... looks like the "Overkill-Pedalboard" ... but looks like one to have fun ;-) Like this patch pay ... and the DI box... but biggest question: Can you tell more about the IEC wiring? Since there is full mains power on it - how did you make it "safe"? I need to get some power distribution also, but I am hasitating to get it really safe... Thanks, Stefan

      Plenty of heat shrink will be fine. All you need to do is make sure that nothing carrying live voltage will be exposed

    Hey man! awesome video, awesome rig and the fact of building it is so amazing, one question, did you make the inlet cable yourself? or is there anything already made. Tnx ma, appreciate it.

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Luis - what do you mean by inlet cable?

    Nice build, Alex. But dude, next time check out redco.com. They have those USB connectors for $5-10. I get all my cable and connectors from them. Way better prices than anywhere else that I've found.
    Edit: lol I just checked your links and you have links there. Ignore me...

    Thanks for sharing Alex. Quick question; what did you put on the back of the 120 ICE so you don't have raw juice exposed under the board? Cheers, sh

    Great video! Do you need to buy a special IEC input by any chance? Would this add noise to your signal in any way?

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What I bought was just a pass through. No, it shouldn’t add any extra noise. If you decide to do the same as I did though just make sure you cover up the bare wires well since it’s like 120v

    why didnt you put the guitar input on the patch box?

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just because I wanted it on the opposite side of the pedalboard so the cable wasn’t crossing in front.

      @@AlexPriceMusician Thank you for the info. How is it? Have you tried vertex pedalboard?

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s great. Relatively lightweight considering the size. I bought it before the Vertex boards were released but I bet those are great too. I’ve been looking at them. One plus side of the Vertex would be that you could easily build it into a road case.

    Yeah didn’t show any diagrams. Total waste of time

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s pretty simple man. It’s a standard 3 slot light switch plate. Just measure and drill.

      @@AlexPriceMusician I have a six bay patchbay that is just wired for TS, and I’m going to pull one of the connections and put in TRS, but I can’t find any way to find a wiring diagram for it

    • @AlexPriceMusician
      @AlexPriceMusician  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What is the TRS connection going to? Is it a balanced signal or unbalanced stereo (like headphones)?
