WOW She really is so dedicated to her dog! Incredible bond. And she cleans up her dog's poo. Bless her soul and may she be blessed and may things work out for them ❤
What a lovely lady. I'm a single mom to one teenage boy. I'm almost 47 and struggle with such anxiety and fear thinking this will be me one day as I don't own a home and still rent. We are on my one average salary and it's difficult to get through the month. Cost of living is so high.
She can reach out to the Lilly Rose Community Farm, which primarily serves an elderly population living on the farm who benefit from the farm's assistance and resources. Donations to support their efforts are generously provided by Anna Maria Helpers, along with contributions from the broader community.
Rose, you're the same age as my older brother - we were also at Bergvliet High, living in Kirstenhof. Do you remember David Clode? A massive nature lover. Bless you, and I pray that circumstances turn around for you 🙏 🇦🇺 ❤
Hi. You are an amazing strong woman! Keep believing in yourself. EVERY word you said is so true. I also had to live in my car for 3 years, now December I'll be cack in my car. Lost my job and not on sassa yet, also have 2 tiny doggies, they 18 now. Still love and exept me unconditionally. I so pray that there could be a soul out there that can give us a plot of land, where we can sleep and be safe and be there for each other. Allow cars, tents caravans and our fur baby's. You just believe in yourself. Im also in cape town and no one cares, so sad. Lots of love to you
Sending you lots of love! I'm middle age and have a small business. No pension. This will probably be my future. I feel sorry for us. And you. Stay strong girl. It's temporary. Your true home is on yhe otherside ❤
If the lady gets a pension of R6000 pm and lives on the street in a car 🚗 😮 Pls 🙏 do a documentary on how 🤔 😭 😔 😫 😩 😪 the old age sassa pensioners survive daily 🙏 ❤ 😢
There's a general apathy towards the issue of homelessness and it's manifested itself in the political decisions that exacerbate the issue. It's easier to blame "alcohol & drugs" than to face the real causes. We're all one bad decision away from being on the streets. There is no social safety net and that's scary.
Family sucks! I totally get how this lady must be feeling.. My mom took her family to Australia, they left all their debt behind, put all the animals down and left me here, when I was just 22.. 19 years later, my siblings are complete strangers, I only see them when there is a death in the family.. My life became turmoil.. While I suffered extreme financial stress, I would see on Facebook how they all went on fancy holidays and cruises every few months.. I eventually lost it mentally, I had no support, no one to run to, for help. I was just expected to survive on my own.. My mom pretends like I don't exist.. On a better note, I have my own family now, whom I dedicate all my time to, to make sure they never end up where I have been.. I've taught my children many different life skills and worked on their talents to make sure they can make it on their own if anything happens to me.. Family just isn't what it's supposed to be anymore.. It's really very sad that the people who are supposed to love and protect you, could not care weather you are even okay.
@GiNjA_NiNjA_83 that's sad. Australia doesn't have green cards. My wife is South African, and her getting permanent residency is no easy task, despite our marriage. People think getting married automatically grants you residency, but it does not. It's also very costly for the lawyer fees, etc.
You have to be creative. If you get R6000- a month move to a small town or rural area with your dog and rent a small cottage. Ridiculous that you are homeless with an income of R6,000. No need to stay in the city.
Let's face it, the most desperate and disenchanted people on the Earth are those who are in families who are totally dysfunction...in other words their proposed help is. "Is n' Helse Genade".😢😮😢
U can fall down in the street, people might and try to help U up. U can be swept out sea, people might help to save U. For if they give U something, there is always a hidden clause that U owe them...and by gum they will make U feel it...a sort of mental persecution is involved here, a disgust, aliken to have disease or that U are a sufferer of leprosy.😮. As my mother always said, and experienced in parts of her life. For the Grace U receive from other people is usually a Grace from Hell. That is why she would always professed in saying it is better to "SHARE" than to give. U have money U Share some of it, U have food U share what U have...etc...etc. As others people idea of giving is to often based upon I.O.U. kinda thing...Which can become very negative😢😮😊
@michellelewis1090 but she gets R 6000 pension a month ,have money in a fixed account in bank ,owns a car ,why is she on the street. ? So many have nothing and lives on the street what about them ?

Seriously, even if she manages to afford the rent, how will she cover the costs of food and other essential items? Where will the money for these daily necessities come from? Are you aware that rental costs have skyrocketed by over 465% since 2004? Even I'm struggling to keep my head above water with the rising costs. Have you ever been in a position where you lost everything and found yourself with nowhere to go? I’ve been there-I was forced to live on the street with my wife and our 9-month-old baby, sleeping in our car for months just to get by. So before pointing fingers and assuming she has money, consider the reality: today, it takes at least R15,000 a month just to cover the basics.
@cuetm she also has family that will offer her accommodation but she chose not to live there. There are people on the street that has no family no money no nothing. She also has a car so she is able to sort herself out. I don't see any reason why she is on the street.

Yes..let's do this!!!!!
Consider Riebeeck West Humanitas. She might be able to keep her dog
So so sad! She lives for her dog!
Cape Town is so expensive. You can rent a small flat for half the price in Gauteng

Why didn't you also go to Australia?
@bradleyheissmann4538 I didn't qualify to get in.. a Matric certificate means nothing to Australia when you're over 21..
@GiNjA_NiNjA_83 they didn't try to sponsor you after they acquired citizenship? This sounds so strange.
