I just went to the V Island my 1st time
❤ it for sure. Was in full bloom, a nice break.
A wonderful place…mountains, ocean and forests all relatively close. Glad you had a great visit!
Thanksssss so much . 🙏🙏
Appreciate the comment! 🚐
We love Green Point too. Thank you for sharing your other top spots, our list of places to visit is growing. Cheers!
First was easy for us…but so many other spots that could be second or third..often just a matter of personal preference.
Great reviews as always. Such beautiful scenery at the end. I grew up on Whidbey Island which is just south of Washington state’s San Juan Islands and I never get tired of island scenery. It just feels like home. Thanks for sharing!
Small islands are wonderful…we have yet to visit any in our van, but look forward to it. Gordon’s trip to Portland Island was one of his favorites and he can’t wait to go back! We even looked at sailboats afterwards!
As always enjoy your channel!! BS & BK & BC !!
🙏
Have to agree with Green Point for sure. Crystal Cove is a good fallback if GP is full. Those beaches are a wonderful hike.
We stayed at Crystal in the off season when Green point was closed. Bella Pacifica looks like a nice option too if GP full.
We love Ralph River campground on Buttle Lake. It’s close to some really good day-hiking!
We enjoy it there as well! It was so close…could have replaced 2 or 3.
We love our provincial parks but no flush toilets are a deal breaker fro me. Those provincial campsites you showed looked beautiful but we find ourselves on the Oregon Coast because of the amenities in the state parks. Nancy
On our list!
But, but, but...Vernon Lake (between Woss and Gold River), Link River (Port Alice neighbourhood) , Kissinger Lake (Top of Cowichan Lake area, towards NitNat.) We live on the Island and have back country camped it for years and years. Each time we camp in a Rec Site or campground or Provincial Park we use a yellow highlighter to hi-lite the listing in the Backwoods Map Book. Still less than half have a yellow streak.
Nice idea! We enjoyed Link River, but have yet to try the others.
