It makes me happy that fighting isnt such a large part of the game any longer. This is coming from a guy who played up until Junior level having to fight in tryouts to prove something. There will always be the "un-written on ice hockey rules," and sometimes a tussle is needed to get the point across, but hockey should be about skill and abilities first. Just because you cant keep up, doesnt mean it is a good reason to drop the gloves....*clears throat....Rob Ray.*

Good points. These old days are long gone. Usually the heavyweights would fight themselves. They knew not to drop the gloves with the non-fighters... usually. ✊✊🏒🏒

Pretty sad! Buffalo relies on Rob Ray for past Glories. The only fights he won, were when he lost his shirt and equipment. And if you think that wasn't on purpose your crazy. I hope Jack Eichel brings some respect Buffalo, I really do, but up until now older players and losers have gone there to get a paycheck. period. Even Staal who supposedly turned down going to Boston. He knows he couldn't slack there.

Ray won plenty of fights when his jersey stayed on. Keep hitting those talking points, though.

Its funny when I read that fighting is part of hockey. A player fights - gets penalized. Therefore, its an infraction that results in a negative consequence. Meaning = its frowned upon. Imagine if someone said "Tripping is part of hockey". I wonder what the response would be?

Dumb.... Tripping is a part of hockey, so is slashing, hooking, and cross checking. Learn the sport before you criticize it. And fighting is very accepted by players and coaches. If you dont belive me, play one game of ice hockey if you can even skate..... Then let me know that those are not part of the sport. Lol 🤣

The fact that fighting is allowed proves hockey is a loser sport.
