Even Michael Buffer was on his A game. One of the best fights ever!
A boxer remains firm and resolute, you take a few punches to gain grounds to overthrow.
The coach of Manny has so much to correct on his client than only to apply cream during fights.
To be able to see this with only the ambient sound from the ring, I mean, without the noise of commentators, is absolutely amazing. Thanks a lot, DAZN Boxing!

Close fight. I had it 115-112. But if I gave R7 (hard round to judge) to Marquez, it would be 114-113. The KD was what clinched it. No robbery here.

One of my favorite fights ever. They were just at their top in speed/power, both at the same level just waiting for the minimum mistake. Pacquiao with the explosive combinatios and Marquez with accurate counters.

A few things I noticed in their 4 fights:
- Marquez's style is give while taking
- Pacquiao's style is give and take
- Pacquiao gets overwhelmed whenever Marquez counters
- Marquez gets overwhelmed during sustained exchanges

In the last match, Márquez was already getting desperate, so he was looking for the exchanges and waiting for Manny to make a feint movement. His strategy was successful.
I agree but I think Marquez won this fight. Manny did not win this fight he was in the battle but Marquez did enough to win and because Marquez isn't a big name for boxing he lost the decision.
Don't understand why some people say that Marquez was robbed. Manny Pacquiao clearly won this fight. If anything, it was Pacquiao who almost got robbed when one of the judges scored the bout 115-112 in favor of Marquez.
But still, mad respect to JMM! For me, Pacman's hardest bouts was all against him.

No. Pacman's hardest was Morales the first fight. He got beat up. You can see he would go backwards all the fight. Too bad Morales became indiscipline and not hungry anymore. Else that way for me was the best in that era.

Pacquiao was starting to come into his prime and Marquez was already in his. Manny was quick as a cat and his punches carried real thunder. Marquez was a picture perfect, textbook counter puncher, and timed Manny perfectly many times in this fight. Two true warriors. Their first two fights were so close, and both fighters fought so well that you hated to see either fighter hung with a loss for such a valiant effort from both.
Even their 3rd fight was so close too...but in their last fight..we all know who won there...

IMO…Pacquiao’s greatest opponent that he ever fought was Marquez…I’m biased cos I appreciated all 4 of their fights & they were so evenly match that they both had to figure out a away to win. I watched this fight live before, I rewatched it around 5 years ago and rewatched it again today... 6 rounds to Pacquiaom, 6 rounds to Marquez, all based on Clean Connected Power Punches... If Pac did not have the knockdown on the 3rd this would've been a draw again...

Their are great rivalries in boxing: ali frazier, sugar ray tommy hearns and marquis Pacquiao. Both these pugilists have fought the greatest and the best in their generation but clearly marquis and Pacquiao is the best and bitter rival. Kudos to the two great fighters of their generations

I’m Filipino and always root for Pacquiao. But i like Marquez. He is determined and tough fighter. He is one of my favorite Mexican fighters. The other is Maidana ‘El Chino’ from Argentina. Always exiting to watch Latinos and Filipinos fight. True warriors.

I had JMM just edging it out 114-113 or 7-5. Pac did excellent work when he either sped JMM up or allowed him to force the action at times to counter him. JMM did great work to the body with those left hooks and started to time Manny coming in. Great adjustments throughout, I think the lack of jab by JMM is what caused Manny to hurt him so many times. Either way, 2 great fighters giving it their all
Honestly I had the same scorecard even without the knockdown. If anything I thought JMM won the first fight but Pac-Man learn his mistakes from the 1st and implemented that in the 2nd fight and did better.
I actually think Pacquiao clearly won this fight hes just the aggressor all night long and if i was a judge i might favor him in those close rounds. Although in marquez vs pacquiao 3 i think Marquez clearly won that. Anyways, it was all great fights. Fans won and i hope this new generation of boxers would also replicate how competitive the boxing scene during this times, fighting the best in their prime.
@@jdr8364 Manny wasn’t always effective with his agression and Marquez was outboxing him in those non-effective rds. It definitely could’ve went either way so it wasn’t a bad decision. But, yes, I agree, new aged fighters need to stop the social media wars and just box it out in the ring.

I'm a big Pacquiao fan but Marquez left one big impression on me after that knockout punch in their last fight. The rest were really close but the one that really nailed their victory was Marquez in that fight. A great deal of respect to both of them.
