Thanks for your videos! First time rebuilder and I'm having fun learning!
You make it look so easy thanks!!
Great to see new vids! Good one!
Thanks for this. A most frustrating thing is having start/idle troubles associated with carb rebuild or choke/idle problem motor work re-start. Messing around with electric choke tension and that 1/8 inch primary flap offset can really bugger things up if not careful.
Great video! I'm working on a 78 Olds quadrajet rebuild. Accelerator pump looked like a dried up banana from that ethanol junk. The rebuild kit came with cork choke shaft seals, and they are leaking already. Wish we could still get the good stuff! Subbed!
Buy our kits for www.quadrajetpower.com and you will get the good stuff. If you aren't in the US visit our ebay store.
Great video and I was wondering where you might know a site for an 1987 4 bl electric choke housing because my 3 housing screws were so tight they broke the crew hole casings off getting them loose?
Very timely video, I'm just fixing a mates Qjet off his 79 vette. The hot air choke hasn't been working properly. Pulled it off and the shaft seal had dry rotted, guess it was sucking air through the back of the housing instead of heated air thru the pipes.
Question, which way round does the seal go, bit hared to tell from the video, do the "lips" go towards the carby, or face inwards?
The shaft seals can go either way. I prefer to put the "lips" toward the carb.
Howdy from western Colorado! I have been working on Qjets since 1982. I wish there was a way to adapt a manual choke cable to it!
we sell manual choke cables for the hot air/electric and divorced choke carbs.
@@QuadrajetPowerLLCOk thanks. I found it on your web site,
Thanks for the video. Do you have a manual choke setup available?

How hard is it to find a early to mid 70s 800 cfm divorce choke quadrajet?
Buick 455 quadrajets were 800 cfm capable 1971 to 1974 were divorced chokes
Hey man I’m just rebuilt my carb and can’t figure out why it’s idling so high. I’d really appreciate if you reached out to me for a little help.
What is your quadrajet code number? What kit did you use?
@@QuadrajetPowerLLC it’s a model 210 duel jet. 5.0. And the kit I used was Walker products carb kit. 151041a.
Now that I’ve cleaned it and it’s back on the truck it starts no problem but idles VERY high. The idle screw isn’t even touching the throttle blades. If I pull it to where it is touching it kinda calms down.
@@QuadrajetPowerLLC I have both of the idle mixture screws all the way down and it still runs so I’m at a loss
