Amazing song, immortal.. Massimo Ranieri won Sanremo with this song named "Perdere L' amore " 1998. We all know and sing that song here in Italy and a lot of people made covers of it. Lara made this song her own song, she just nailed it and even Massimo Ranieri did compliment her a lot. She did change the lyric a little and added few melisma compared to the original, showing her amazing resonance. That's not a easy song to sing and Massimo Ranieri is a great singer with such powerful and passionate voice. As always great passion and interpretation by Lara, you can see her eyes and facial expression, her gesture and her grit! (3.26 "E vorresti Urlare" in English "and you want to scream", it really looks like she is screaming, but she is not of course, eheh , otherwise she wouldn't be there performing lol😊 but her supraglottal distortion is so powerful! ) She knows exactly what she is singing about , she understands the meaning of lyric and live them, she is not repeating them by memory..and her italian diction is just amazing. And lyric are sad, that song talks about losing love in advanced age, with all sadness and malincony of it.. But talks about hope to find back that love one day.. And Lara is so good to show that hope with her smiles while performing. She is a masterclass, her melisma on key change before the guitar solo(4.15) is so beautiful! (and without breathing) 😮 I'm italian and of course I love her singing in my language. If you want to hear something else about her singing in Italian, beside of course her famous "Caruso" from Lucio Dalla and the Italian version of "Adagio", listen at her duet with: Laura Pausini "La solitudine" (2002): with Gigi D'Alessio "Un cuore Malato" 2007: her partecipation at Sanremo 2015 with "Voce" a song written with Cesare Cremonini. She did also make a duet with another famous italian singer, Zucchero, "Everybody's got to learn something" 2005, but they did sing in English, and her famous duet with Michael Bolton " The prayer" by David Foster. (English and Italian) She did also make an Italian version of Je Suis malade, "Sto male" Sanremo 2015..but i prefer the French version!!! 😊. Also Her rendition of "Toccami" (touch me in English) live in Moscow 2010 with Igor Krutoy, is really beautiful. (Extract from Mademoiselle Zhivago version) Queen of Resonance and beauty. ❤
The magician who heals our suffering souls Lara, you are the voice, the songwriter and the composer of the 21st century. Not recognised enough as such, we, the fans, have to shout it out loud and clear. For love always and forever ❤️❤️
Yes she really lives her song .That makes her so wonderful . She can sing not only in Italian like this song but also in Spanish (Quedate) in English ( broken vow ) and in french like (Je suis malade ) . yes she lives her song and so deep . so real .
Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! Increíble y hermosa canción e interpretación de Lara Fabián, única y sin comparación alguna,la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo,! Gracias!
If there are still people wondering how Dimash was influenced by his childhood idol, Lara Fabian, well they just have to listen to this performance by Lara. Sarah, you are the best at dissecting all the feelings that emanate from her songs. You impressed me on the analysis of 4th Impact with Leave The Door Open. You have grasped the affinities that exist between these four sisters, their complicity and their smiles of satisfaction. Merci Sarah.
This version has english subtitles and the lyrics are so beautiful, it’s a classic italian masterpiece. th-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/w-d-xo.html And yes Lara’s emotion, passion, stage presence, even elevate it further and pierces our heart. Thanks for your great reaction.
Hello Sarah! I liked your emotional reaction, so genuine... This version of Lara Fabian is absolutely amazing but I suggest you to hear also the other one of Massimo Ranieri as well. (A little note : the correct title of the song in Italian is "Perdere l'amore"). Thanks a lot 😊
I'm Italian. I Red the title and "mmmh, sound weird... Exist only ONE song like that... Perdere l'amore. But is sing by massimo Ranieri, she is another one. Really weird. Maybe a cover in Spanish?" And... No i Was right. 🤣 She said in the beginning. 🤣 Please, listen the original. Massimo Ranieri, perdere l'amore. She is great, beautiful voice, perfect intonation and Italian pronunce (not all the Italian born know the Italian so well. That's a point in plus for her) and I really liked her cover. But the original... Taste complete different. We can taste how much desire and desperation he had when he wrote the song. Please, follow my tip, listen the original one. And tell us the difference 😉😉 P. S. : perdere l'amore means "lost the love", literally. It's another 80/90 Italian Song.
Lara Fabian is a great singer, but the original version from Massimo Ranieri "it's the sun meeting the moon". th-cam.com/video/Iw0cD44AhsA/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUfcGVyZGVyZSBsJ2Ftb3JlIG1hc3NpbW8gcmFuaWVyaQ%3D%3D
Perfect comments! Especially when Lara sings, you can feel the meaning of the lyrics. I wasn’t able to copy the translation but you can Google it. It was written by Massimo Ranieri and the title means Losing the Love. The last line translates to: “I will break the wings of destiny and have you close to me.”
The song was written by Marcello Artegiani and Marcello Marocchi in 1985. Massimo Ranieri was the singer when it entered the Festival di Sanremo in 1988 and won. See it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perdere_l%27amore/Dove_sta_il_poeta
Wow (or minchia! as they say in my part) this song sung by Lara Fabian becomes incredible, it makes it a hundred times more beautiful than the one sung by Massimo Ranieri.
