Her voice left me emotionally drained...like seriously, I shouldn't feel this way but I hate myself for being this consumed by her emotive ability...I literally cry every time I see this performance.
Prince my whole body reacts every time I listen to this song. I say to myself, "I'm gonna listen one mo time AND I WON'T cry this time." Nerp... nope... ha!! RIIIIIIiight... teared stained neck yet again!
Actually, I would've went a little nuts, too, sis. A friend sent me my initial vid of Yebba singing this song. I haven't been able to stop searching for "reaction" vids since. But I BREAK DOWN crying EVERY time I watch her sing this song. It touches me deep in my core. I don't like a few of these critiques who're SUPPOSED TO be showing their reaction. Because they don't HAVE a reaction! They talk over Yebba's singing INSTEAD OF pausing it and THEN giving their opinion. I HATE stuff like that!!!! But this young lady has a SERIOUS gift!!! She projects this song like a blockbuster movie in a theatre!!!!
If someone sings with so much emotion.. I would be quiet too... Just paralyzed not be able to make a sound not wanting to make a sound. Just want to hear her's
I’ve come up with a new phrase and it describes her perfectly “Agony singing” it’s legit her pouring her entire soul into her voice and her voice just going crazy on our hearts
she deserves a nobel prize for this song the way that despite anyones demographic they are brought together by the perfection that is Abbey Smith chills everytime I could spend an entire day just listening
Yebba wrote this a week after her mother committed suicide after a battle with depression. Yebba stated that this is the only time she would ever sing this song for us. She gave this song to the world for free. How incredible is it, that even knowing all this, I still cannot believe the amount of raw pain and open vulnerability that Yebba showed in this one off performance of My Mind. Her mother used to call her Yebba, because it is her real name, reversed. It was her mother's pet name she had for her daughter. Abbey took it for her stage name. Yebba is an EXTRAORDINARY singer! The words fail me to describe what I feel when I hear this song, I have heard it 7 times, and I get serious goosebumps every time. God give you peace Yebba after your terrible loss.
I had never heard of this woman, this song and I can say after hearing it I'm torn trying to decide if someone should thank this guy for bringing out this song from deep within her or curse him for ever bringing that kind of pain for anyone to deal with. My body was reacting to her emotion to the point I couldn't sit still in my chair, holding my breath at times and felt like I was under water and choking up trying to keep my eyes clear to see. Her gift is not only her amazing voice its her ability to project emotions into others, cant help but think if there were more people like this that could make people feel emotions from events that they had never even experienced themselves the world would be a much better place.
I find myself watching these reactions pretty often. This very thing happened to me, word for word..after 5 years together. I remember not being able to control my emotions and needing depression meds after, something I never thought I'd need. I resonate with this song so much, and even though I'm way past that terrible time in my life, this song reopens the wound every..single..time. I just like to remind myself that I'm human and it's ok to experience pain, since after all it made me stronger. Great reaction.
So rich takes you straight in.. zones you in... if you get distracted when she sings u need to get your whole soul checked .... she will stop a lion from attacking their prey.....
I have the flu and I just spent the entire day of today watching reaction videos to this most riveting live performance of the century💗....best day I ever wasted 👌
Oh also thank you guys for appreciating the song and listening to it all the way and not talking over and trying to do every run she does a lot of peoples reaction videos they don't get a full grasp of how great it is because they don't listen to it
Please react to Clark Beckham feat. Abbey Smith (also known as YEBBA) singing "Gravity" Also Thirdstory feat. Abbey Smith (YEBBA) singing Britney Spears "Lucky" Thirdstory is amazing too, I'm so glad that you guys reacted to this YEBBA video.
Sooooooo Larry bourgeois did a freestyle in Piccadilly....to this song. If you have the time and the inclination, you might wanna give it a view. You most Definately won't be disappointed
Yep!!! I consider her as the running queen... Hahahaha... The runs bro, the runs!!! Her name is Abbey Smith and i think YEBBA is her name in reverse... MGN rocks more power guys.
Been with ya for ever ,,this is the only time I’ve text u,,,reacting to your reactions live to me . I already know ur gonna be hipnotizado..yo se que ablan español..always come back to u to check how you loved it...your friend from Pasadena Calif...
Larry just danced to this song on the streets the other day. it was the most beautiful and passionate dance ive ever seen him do. its definitely a cry maker. :^(
Please watch Larry from Les twins dance to this song. He puts all her vocal intonations into movement and it's amazing to see another interpretation of this masterpiece
Adrian Benavidez her mom committed suicide a week before, and the song was dedicated to her. “About to lose my mind” was how her mother felt and Yebba turned it into a song and shared it for all the world to hear; the pain, for all the world to feel. Her other song, Evergreen is also about her mom, her evergreen, asking her to wait for Yebba
This is an accurate display of how some men and some women react to this masterpiece and the general concensus of how it's perceived lol. I could see her getting irritated by his silly reactions, especially when she spoke to her soul with her words. The lyrics just add to the immense emotional response you should have, and it just seemingly went way over his head lol just an observation haha
Her voice left me emotionally drained...like seriously, I shouldn't feel this way but I hate myself for being this consumed by her emotive ability...I literally cry every time I see this performance.
+Kevon Lewis rightfully so. It's perfect.
Prince same........

I agree. Every time I watch it I think this is the time I'm not going to get emotional.
678 times later still tearing up
I've watched this over 3 dozen times and I still cry EVERY time. I start crying earlier because I know what's coming up!
this is the type of performance you expect and hope to see at the grammys
agree
It wont be. It will be arianna grande and cardi b and all that garbage
Agreed 👍
@@mochs62512okay but Ariana is a great vocalist even yebba said it by herself
You hear all the pain in that song!!! The crowd was to calm for me, me and my sisters would have went crazy!!!

I read that they were told to be quiet because the performance audio was being recorded
If someone sings with so much emotion.. I would be quiet too... Just paralyzed not be able to make a sound not wanting to make a sound. Just want to hear her's
RIGHT?!? I was like HOW ARE THEY STILL IN THEIR SEATS?!? I would’ve been on my feet or on MY KNEES!!!! She blew it AWAY
I'm from NYC and didn't like that the temperature of the room!
I’ve come up with a new phrase and it describes her perfectly “Agony singing” it’s legit her pouring her entire soul into her voice and her voice just going crazy on our hearts
It makes every other singer look like a bad actor

You know it's serious when a singer removes the mic from the stand mhm. 😭😭 I love her so much
You can feel the pain in every single word she sings. I’ve never gotten this emotional in a single performance ever. She has the most beautiful gift.
I’m on my third night of watching Yebba reaction videos. And my third night of running tears...
2 years later and I still cry every time I hear it!
This is called sangin from pain and brokenness, from pure raw emotion!! Pure soul!!

Abbey Smith aka Yebba meet everyone, everyone meet Yebba she just came for us! Damn...why is she trying to hospitalize or kill us all?!?

C'est une magicienne 👍 elle convoque autour d'elle toutes les reines de la soul music..... J'adore 💕
"I could make a sick remix of this"
That's modern speak for I could steal her talent and put my name on it.
She kind of reminds me of jazzmine sulivan
Jamelody Thomas yeah here and such a variety of amazing artist. She’s like a mixture of amazing vocalists in one body
I said the exact same thing. A beautiful blend of Jazmine Sullivan and Adele.
Yesss I was just about to comment that
IMAGINE A DUO
I kinda hear some Sevdaliza in there too.
She must have been in some serious pain!! I felt that all the way. What a soul!!

+nathonyo henrique you are welcome. It was our pleasure 😊 👍.
yebba voice is critical in highest note .i thought it might crack. but the emotion is in there.
It cracks because she's crying and it's normal
She lost her mom to suicide a week prior to this performance, so it's understandable the song is even more emotional.
For me that's intentional. Try to watch her other videos. She has an incridible range.
It's the effect Abbey has on people!
Now you guys need to check out more of her and some Thirdstory! ❤️❤️❤️
