I always feel a little embarrassed with this video, like I'm seeing her naked soul and feeling her anguish so personally that I'm intruding. It's just so authentic, the anger and despair are absolutely real, but then the beauty of her voice and the caliber of her performance is pretty much mind-boggling.

Your reaction is the realest, most genuine, and the closest to mine I've seen on TH-cam. Her RAW EMOTION in her voice when she sang EACH and EVERY WORD. UGH stank face every time I watch her video. And I get why we connect too, we both sing and can recognize what it takes to execute what she just did. Every single run and trick doesn't need an over the top reaction, scream or 😱. Yebba is a talented and humble soul, we are blessed to be alive during her era and witnessing her beautiful alent, i am inlove this woman is phenomenal.
Atn many places in this song, she appears to be either on the verge of tears or actually wailing in pain. I think that's why so many of us are moved by this song of betrayal by someone who's supposed to love you. And, also, you have to be able to empathize/sympathize .... and I've seen lots of people while watching reactions to this performance who were shedding tears and struggling to maintain their emotions. That is actually a good thing, as it shows we are good people who care about others.
All her voice aside she was brilliant in all that but the runs her vibrator crazy mad the pain she passes on in the way she expresses her story is wow mind blowing!

My reaction was EXACTLY the same. I got chills, cried...felt like I needed to pray. I have rarely seen someone sing with that much emotion. I generally don't like runs - they make me feel like the singer is showing off and they distract from the song. But her runs in this song - WOW. First, she almost never does they run in the way you would expect. She makes interesting choices that work. I love the gospel feel, too. You can tell her daddy's a preacher.
