Brilliant interview. We hosted him in Chicago last year, he is such a humble soul, comes across a genuine person. Pakistan, and Sindh in particular, needs a leader like him.
Just wow. It felt so good listening to JZAB. Indeed, he is a hope for the poor people of not only Sindh but also of all Pakistan. Thanks to red room for inviting him.

The Left in Pakistan is striving to regain its footing, grappling with challenges around ideological ambiguity and political unity. As discussed in today's podcast, amidst this complexity, left-leaning groups and young progressive activists across the provinces are working to reconnect with the public, aiming to return to grassroots, people-centered politics. After the near-hegemony of socialist ideology in the 1970s, we're now witnessing a resurgence of similar energy, re-emerging in the public sphere. The insights shared today offered a valuable perspective on the potential revival of the Left in Pakistan-Im especially impressed by the caliber of speakers featured in the Red Room series. Kudos to the entire team for this excellent work in advancing Left’s vision. remain hopeful for the journey ahead. 🌹
Dr sab please raise your voice about a very critical and burning issue of the privatization of government schools and a blind and vague screening test of school teachers Sir I am a school teacher but sir last 6 nights l can't sleep because I serve government over 15 year but now provincial education minister of Punjab threatening us very badly I seriously thought to commit suicide every night I have three children in case of my death their financial future maybe saved Otherwise I am a patient of diabetes and can't afford my medicine and their educational expen So please 😢 your voice for our community And please don't mention my name so that I am be saved from anger of my high-ups I'm writing you in comments because no other way to contact you thanks A lot sir
Don't Panic life is precious. In Pakistan 50℅ population is living below poverty line so be thankful to Allah for government job In case ( which is near to impossible) you are fired from job Still you are ahead of many You can easily get a Teaching job in private school/College Ups and downs are part of life. Don't take stress of our family/ Children if they are capable they will achieve their objectives if they are not than pampering cannot help them
He is grandson of Bhutto. Whereas Bilawal is not from Bhutto clan. In fact Bilawal is from Zardari clan. I don’t know why he never feel proud of his father side.
Jr is nothing like his grandfather, his aunt or for that matter his father , their narrative was different than their actions.. Zulfiqar was a tyrant, benezair stood quiet when Zardari was looting, his father hijacked an airplane, Jr is a people person he is an amazing human.. Out of this whole family he is the one.. Bilawal Zardari should learn something from him.. Bilawal is another example of this corrupt polititics.
Dear erudites! Everyone loves capital accumulation even in village based MNCs or TNCs, but they hate land accumulation by Wadheras and Feudals. When they raise hue & cry for "employment" it's not necessarily free independent autonomous owner-ooeratirship self employment but simplistically wage employment and salary employment preferably in private corporate sector whose Mantra is capital accumulation. So, it's loved. Even British East India Company located in India had 99.999% EMPLOYEES who were Indians and Indians just loved to be EMPLOYEES and loved to participate in political suppression and Jalianwala Bagh massacre with elan or ignorance. Anyway it was part of capitalist accumulation process. We the IDIOTS just love capital just as estranged capital loves to be with brainless mad people. 😃. Nade for each other! But why anthema against Land Accumulation? Isn't every capitalist project in world history based on the principle of so-called primitive accumulation of capital in the early stages of capitalism since 16th Century and it continues ditto as such in 2024? Land is capital. Capital loves land as commodity. Land mafias are common in capitalism. Calitalism is sophisticated Feudalism.
Since both of you were talking to the grandson of ZAB you glorified his "legacy" but when i listened to your previous pod where PTI's politics was discussed, you were criticizing ZAB. It did feel like hypocrisy, to me. ZAB junior,in his own capacity and personality is a wonderful person. His vision for environment is far far better than any responsible minister of relevance.
We are not metaphysicians who can only say good or bad things about periods of history. We are people who can appreciate certain aspects of Bhutto's rule while criticising other aspects.
While its a great opportunity to witness a debate where all three speakers succumb to the same socialist narrative without any dissection but i really applaud the effort by the gentlemen to provide us with the Leftist narrative. However i believe that concurrently there are some gross inadequecies which are felt and some factual errors which are presented unintentionally (i would presume). To begin with:- 1. Construction of Tarbela dam directly never resulted in drought in Pakistan. Occurence of drought is a result of multitude of factors inclusive of deforestation, land degradation, population growth, climate change etc. 2. Mao Zedong was responsible for the deaths of millions of people and his policies resulted in gross human rights violations. The Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution and his tendency to suppress any dissent were all akin to criminal neglidence. I wonder how can your guest be so naive to even wear a monogram of Mao Zedong. 3. Your entire Korean argument raises a lot of questions. The NATO nexus which fought in Korea was a result of deliberate North Korean invasion supported by the Chinese. Just for perspective, look where both Countries stand today (North and South Korea) in terms of their economic clout, diplomatic standing and civic rights. 4. I appreciate your fervour for broader Middle East issues but there are some facts which we must not ignore. Foremost amongst is that Hassan Nasrullah was no martyr. From being complicit in the assasination of former Lebanese PM, Rafiq Hariri to drug trafficking involvement, Hassan Nasrullah can be anything other than a martyr. Not to mention his role in crushing Syrian uprising. We all are aware of Zionist regime genocidal actions. But lets understand that it is easier to decide between right and wrong. A person with absolutely no wisdom like me can also do that. However, a leader's task is to navigate his country in turmoil, amid hostile geopolitical forces and charter the best course of actions for his people. Sadly, the Arab leadership in general and specifically Hamas and Hezbollah's leadership displayed a lacklustre show in this regard. I hope i am able to convey. Intentions are not to offend anyone. Thanks

@@KenkalsiTowards the end of your reply you caught yourself trapped by your own argument. Land owning petty farmers committing suic*d*s but landless peasants in Pakistan living relatively free.
