The Left in Pakistan is striving to regain its footing, grappling with challenges around ideological ambiguity and political unity. As discussed in today's podcast, amidst this complexity, left-leaning groups and young progressive activists across the provinces are working to reconnect with the public, aiming to return to grassroots, people-centered politics. After the near-hegemony of socialist ideology in the 1970s, we're now witnessing a resurgence of similar energy, re-emerging in the public sphere. The insights shared today offered a valuable perspective on the potential revival of the Left in Pakistan-Im especially impressed by the caliber of speakers featured in the Red Room series. Kudos to the entire team for this excellent work in advancing Left’s vision. remain hopeful for the journey ahead. 🌹

Dear erudites! Everyone loves capital accumulation even in village based MNCs or TNCs, but they hate land accumulation by Wadheras and Feudals. When they raise hue & cry for "employment" it's not necessarily free independent autonomous owner-ooeratirship self employment but simplistically wage employment and salary employment preferably in private corporate sector whose Mantra is capital accumulation. So, it's loved. Even British East India Company located in India had 99.999% EMPLOYEES who were Indians and Indians just loved to be EMPLOYEES and loved to participate in political suppression and Jalianwala Bagh massacre with elan or ignorance. Anyway it was part of capitalist accumulation process. We the IDIOTS just love capital just as estranged capital loves to be with brainless mad people. 😃. Nade for each other! But why anthema against Land Accumulation? Isn't every capitalist project in world history based on the principle of so-called primitive accumulation of capital in the early stages of capitalism since 16th Century and it continues ditto as such in 2024? Land is capital. Capital loves land as commodity. Land mafias are common in capitalism. Calitalism is sophisticated Feudalism.

While its a great opportunity to witness a debate where all three speakers succumb to the same socialist narrative without any dissection but i really applaud the effort by the gentlemen to provide us with the Leftist narrative. However i believe that concurrently there are some gross inadequecies which are felt and some factual errors which are presented unintentionally (i would presume). To begin with:-
    1. Construction of Tarbela dam directly never resulted in drought in Pakistan. Occurence of drought is a result of multitude of factors inclusive of deforestation, land degradation, population growth, climate change etc.
    2. Mao Zedong was responsible for the deaths of millions of people and his policies resulted in gross human rights violations. The Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution and his tendency to suppress any dissent were all akin to criminal neglidence. I wonder how can your guest be so naive to even wear a monogram of Mao Zedong.
    3. Your entire Korean argument raises a lot of questions. The NATO nexus which fought in Korea was a result of deliberate North Korean invasion supported by the Chinese. Just for perspective, look where both Countries stand today (North and South Korea) in terms of their economic clout, diplomatic standing and civic rights.
    4. I appreciate your fervour for broader Middle East issues but there are some facts which we must not ignore. Foremost amongst is that Hassan Nasrullah was no martyr. From being complicit in the assasination of former Lebanese PM, Rafiq Hariri to drug trafficking involvement, Hassan Nasrullah can be anything other than a martyr. Not to mention his role in crushing Syrian uprising. We all are aware of Zionist regime genocidal actions. But lets understand that it is easier to decide between right and wrong. A person with absolutely no wisdom like me can also do that. However, a leader's task is to navigate his country in turmoil,
amid hostile geopolitical forces and charter the best course of actions for his people. Sadly, the Arab leadership in general and specifically Hamas and Hezbollah's leadership displayed a lacklustre show in this regard.
I hope i am able to convey. Intentions are not to offend anyone. Thanks

@ Because Cities don't have that absolute poverty like villages have/has.
There is no Slavery/ Bonded Labour in cities.
Yes Factory owners too should provide good salaries to workers.
Villages in East Punjab are living good life as they own those small plots of land but in Pakistan? Most of Villagers dont own Land.
Even a Tea Stall owner in city has better life than a villager who is forced to pay to Chowdhary.
Look Indian Farmers dont have to pay for big Chowdharies but still farmers are committing suicides in Whole of India so what Pakistani Farmers would be doing? Only they know.
