    Best episode ever. I love episodes where you spend more time explaining the how's and what's. The goofing is funny, but I like it best when it's a smaller part of the video. We know you guys have personality to spare :) We want to hear about your expertise! Thanks, and more like this please!!!

    Well damn. This is the first time I've run across anyone actually using a single *multi-outputting amp* for all the speakers. Everyone else always has a separate amp just for the sub which I find excessive in most of those cases. I like

    Awesome! About to upgrade my system with audison voce/bit tenD and noticed you mentioned the "pure i20" to keep the signal digital from start to finish. Where can I get my hands on that (do you guys have it on your online store?).
    Love the show!

    Such a clean system. Even with the million adapters...way to get everything fully functional and running! My 09 jeep had about 6 adapters to get ny hesd unit and tvs running. And still no steering wheel controls...

    Nice CNC router, do you think you put a little explanation of what it is, and how it works (like software, setup, where you get your bits,etc.) in the next episode?
    Keep it coming Doug, i favorite this because of how freakin' funny you are!! lol

  • @SeaBassxXxXxXx
    @SeaBassxXxXxXx 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, jeah the build looks pretty nice, not to complicated, kept simple. But did I understand that right, you are playing on one channel of the amp/processor two mids/hights, so from the front and back door?! Dosen't make sense for me because time correction is something that you than don't need to use at all, also eq doesn't make sense that much since the Mid in the front will need a different eq than the ones in the back, the same with the hights... in this constellation it would make more sense to go passive!

    • @SeaBassxXxXxXx
      @SeaBassxXxXxXx 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I mean of course most important is that the customer is happy. But “delaying factory placement isn't necessarily a good thing to do....”, doesn't make since at all to me, since also in factory spots the distance from ear to speaker is different on every speaker. And especially the eq is the same Problem. The different legroom and mounting angle will give the front speaker a different frequency responds than the one in the back. Than you are gone middle it to get it flat and the rear speaker plays one frequency louder and front speaker a different, then without time correction…. Would make more since to use a 8ch Processors, put a small amp for the rear speakers and go active front and rear passive. Sure you might not have that much power, but sure the sound quality would get better.

      I took all smog stuff off and added larger tires. Put in an electric fuel pump, with a hidden cut off switch, so it can not be stolen.

    Thanks, really helpful, would be nice if you could do a video on the steps involved in using the Audiocontrol RTA for equalization. I bought an SA3055 unit after seeing it in your videos.

      Better than an RTA tutorial would be a full set-up using the Audison Bit Tune!

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      *****
      And Doug, I suggest it after having a shop up here where I live having just completed a Bit Tune on my set-up which is exactly the same as the Jeep rig save for a JL 12" W7 ProWedge (ie - 5-channel Audison, 2-way component Audison Voce's, Pure iDock, run active through a Bit Ten D with the Bit In module between the amp and processor). And the difference between the Bit Tuned set-up and what I had done by ear was mind blowing. The amount of mid bass the new set-up had as a result of better time delay settings to eliminate phase cancellations was mind blowing.

    • @shattabadman
      @shattabadman 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Wallace Not all of us use the Audison Bit-one or Bit-ten, there are other good processors like the Rockford Fosgate 360.3, so perhaps it would be wise not to skew the production of the video to any one particular product or brand. The majority of us would like to understand the process of equalization regardless of the processor chosen to do so.

    Why not use bluetooth to stream to a optical out device? Or is bluetooth analog?

    • @HectorRodriguez-uk1zj
      @HectorRodriguez-uk1zj 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ran Marto Bluetooth will degrade the quality and fidelity of music. Whats the point of bluetoothing it to a optical out device if you already degrading the music.. its pretty much the bottleneck of your sound system.

    What did you do with the stock head unit?

    • @SaltySc00ps
      @SaltySc00ps 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's safe to say the head unit is completely gone, there is no need for it with the steering controls handled by NAV-TV Steer Blue, and the iPure handling the audio output from the iPad. The Bit ten D and amp handle the rest.

    Couldn't you just use the lightning USB camera cable to feed the bit one a digital signal to make things easier?

    • @HectorRodriguez-uk1zj
      @HectorRodriguez-uk1zj 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonathan McGuire He is trying to feed a Optical audio connection for the most cleanest sound possible. A lightning usb camera cable does not have optical audio.
